2001 Mitsubishi Galant Es Sedan 4-door 3.0l on 2040-cars
Atlanta, Georgia, United States
|
Up for sale is this nice 2001 Mitsubishi Galant with a sunroof and leather. This is a nice car and it is in good condition and it only come's with 1 keys and No remote. It rides and drives excellent the miles are high, but it rides like it has low miles, this car can currently be driven from Georgia to California. The engine and transmission are in awesome shape for its age, all the windows, door locks and sunroof works fine. This car has an aftermarket exhaust system on it, which cause the check engine light to come on, but it is nothing major, as I stated this car runs good. The has had good maintenance performed on it, it has Ice, Ice Cold air a/c, It has a good report on Carfax in 2005 it was involved in an accident but nothing major. This car has a clean title. The only issues that this car has, is that it has a dent on the drivers side quater panel as you can see in the photo, it has a little crack on the spoiler on the back, the passenger side window does not come down, it has a few straches and dings which is consistent with it's age, but nothing major beside the dent on the drivers side rear. It runs and drives soooo good. As I stated the Engine and transmission is excellent in this car!!!!! It does have a check engine light on because of the big tail pipe and upgraded exhaust. But nothing big because it is nice and is being sold for cheap. So if you are interested bid today before it's gone. Also if you have any additional questions please contact us or emails us. Thanks
NOTE: Please don't purchase this car as a brand new vehicle, because it is not. This vehicle is used and it is being sold AS/IS, which means it does not have any warranties. Note that anything used is not perfect so it will have some cosmetic issues from time to time. Also if you are not sure if something is included with the car or not included in the auction please ask, don't assume it is or isn't. We do our best to describe what we see accurately but If we miss something, its only a mistake and mistakes will happen. Remember ask question before bidding. Thanks and Happy bidding. |

Junkyard Gem: 2004 Mitsubishi Lancer Ralliart
Sun, Dec 6 2020I do manage to find the occasional discarded Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution during my Denver-area junkyard explorations, but such cars— like their Subaru WRX rivals— are always far too crashed and/or stripped to be worth documenting for this series. When it comes to the Mitsubishi Lancer O-Z Rally Edition, though, I get the impression that just about every Lancer sold here during the first part of the 2000s had that all-show-and-no-go package; after shooting several examples, I no longer pay attention to the O-Z Rally. The Ralliart Lancer, on the other hand, was a genuine factory hot-rod, with much more power and a stiffer suspension than the ordinary Lancer. We saw a used-up bright yellow '05 Ralliart last year, and now here's a black '04 in a different Denver yard. The Lancer Ralliart wasn't anywhere near as fast and crazy as its Evolution sibling, but (compared to the base Lancer) it came with more power, bigger brakes, stiffer suspension, better steering, and bucket seats sourced from the JDM Evolution GTA. List price was $18,572 (about $26,110 today), far cheaper than the $29,999 ($42,175 today) Evo VIII. The regular Lancer sedan had an unimpressive 120 horses from its 2.0-liter engine in 2004, while the Lancer Ralliart got this 162-horse MIVEC 2.4. Just in case you were wondering, MIVEC stands for Mitsubishi Innovative Valve-Timing-and-Lift Electronic Control, which doesn't sound as cool as VTEC, but at least seems more convincing than Daewoo's D-TEC. Nearly every O-Z Rally Lancer I see has an automatic transmission, but this Ralliart rolled out of the showroom with a genuine 5-speed manual and Evo shifter. The Japan-market front seats are a bit racier than the ordinary Lancer's, too. Though it is a Colorado car and drivers here think they need AWD to navigate a quarter-inch of snow in the supermarket parking lot, it lacks the all-wheel-drive system that went on the Evo. What more do you want for $18,572? I'm a bit surprised that some local Lancer owner didn't snag the factory strut-tower brace immediately, but I'll bet someone buys this part before the car gets crushed. Mitsubishi reveals mid-term plans including redesigned pickup, SUV and new PHEVs
Tue, 12 Nov 2013Struggling automaker Mitsubishi seems adamant that it will soldier on across the globe. Just last week, we told you how the brand would begin selling a pair of rebadged, Korean-built, Renault-Samsung sedans in the US market, and now comes an official statement from Mitsubishi about a mid-term business plan called "New Stage 2016."
As part of the plan, a number of products not sold in the US, like the Triton pickup, Pajero Sport SUV and Delica D:5 will be new or significantly updated, while we'll be seeing a second-generation Outlander Sport within the next few years. Some of these new or updated models may be previewed at the Tokyo Motor Show later this month. There will also be an increased focus on the brand's plug-in hybrid technology.
In fact, that technology will play a big role in Mitsubishi's revitalization, as it rolls out its own competitor to Honda's Earth Dreams and Mazda's Skyactiv technology, called @earth Technology (yes, seriously). It's unclear if @earth Technology will develop into an overarching philosophy like Mazda has done with Skyactiv, but with Mitsubishi pushing so hard with hybrids and EVs - part of its deal for those Renault-Samsung sedans was that it would develop EV tech with Nissan-Renault - if we did see an @earth Technology badge on a car, we'd wager that it'd be powered, to some degree, by electricity.
