This is a 1994 Mitsubishi Montero with the 3.5 L 4 cam V-6 motor. It is the SR version with 4 Wheel Dr., automatic transmission with selector button for power or normal. It has power steering, power brakes with ABS. A very large working sunroof along with air-conditioning. It has seating for 7, I presently have both the rear seats removed because I wanted the extra room for cargo rather than people, but I have all the hardware and the 2 bucket seats and can easily reinstall them. Both back three-point seatbelts are still attached. The interior is tan leather it has somewhere on the side of the driver's seat that can be seen in the photo. Driver's seat is fully power. It also has the optional locking rear differential. You can do this by flipping a switch that is on the consult between the seat. It has 4 wheel disc brakes with ABS. The front pads have just been replaced and the rear are still in excellent shape. I originally got this vehicle from a man who lived in North Carolina and like using it for fishing trips. For a vehicle it's age. The body is in very good shape with no rust and the frame and undercarriage is also an excellent shape. The paint is still the original paint has some flaws on the gray below the doors and one small dent in the rear bumper beside the backup like. The vehicle runs excellent and has been very reliable for me. When I 1st purchase a vehicle. It did need some work. The previous owner had been in the hospital and the son was using it. It has had a engine rebuild done about 40,000 miles ago. This included a new timing belt and tensioner and adjuster, it has also had the rings replaced new bearings and both heads have been resurfaced and gone through. Since that time and has been very reliable given no trouble and is kind of big for me and my dog. A friend of mine son was going to purchase it, but his job fell through. So I am now listing it. It would be an excellent vehicle for bad weather with tons of room in it. All 4 tires are BFGoodrich the rear to tires have 9/32 of tread left, the front tires are also BFGoodrich and are now down to about 5/32 or 4/32 of tread. I would not hesitate to drive this vehicle anywhere it has been very reliable. for its size, I was getting between 16 and 19 miles the gallon. It does have a working cruise control. I can do hate to sell it but I really need a smaller vehicle. No trades please.

Mitsubishi looks to crossovers and EVs for US success
Fri, Jan 8 2016Say what you will about Mitsubishi, but the Japanese automaker is slowly seeing a resurgence here in the United States. December 2015 marked the company's twenty-second consecutive month of year-over-year sales increases, and looking at last year as a whole, Mitsubishi's sales were up 23 percent over 2014. Ken Konieczka, Mitsubishi's vice president of sales operations, says that in order to stay successful, the company will bet big on crossovers and electric vehicles in the coming years. And that means a relatively aggressive product plan here in the US. First up, a brand-new CUV will launch in early 2018, previewed by the eX Concept that debuted at last year's Tokyo Motor Show (pictured). Konieczka says Mitsubishi is making room for this new crossover in its lineup – the Outlander will slowly get bigger, and the Outlander Sport will get smaller. The production version of the eX will slot between those two. Speaking of the Outlander siblings, both will be replaced in the next five years. A new, larger Outlander will arrive in 2019, and the smaller Outlander Sport will arrive in 2020. To fulfill the electric side of the business, Konieczka confirms the next Outlander Sport will sprout an EV variant, and the Outlander plug-in hybrid will launch in the United States later in 2016, as a 2017 model. As for the rest of the company's portfolio, Mitsubishi will offer the updated Mirage hatchback and new G4 sedan later this year. The future for the Lancer, however, looks grim. Konieczka says Mitsubishi still can't find an OEM partner to help create and produce a new Lancer, and our gut says the compact sedan will be phased out in the very near future. "We made a lot of mistakes," Konieczka admits, saying Mitsubishi was "spread too thin [and] had too many models" in the past. This new, more focused approach on EVs and crossovers certainly sounds promising, and will hopefully help Mitsubishi continue its slow growth here in the US market. Still, we won't know for sure until the new products actually reach showrooms. But for now, at least, things are steadily on the rise.
Mitsubishi is killing the Lancer this summer
Fri, Jan 6 2017The small sedan segment is going to get a little smaller this summer. At a Mitsubishi event last night, the company discussed its new focus on the crossover market. It left us wondering where this leaves the future of Mitsubishi sedans. We asked executive vice president and COO of Mitsubishi's North American division Don Swearingen about this, and he said the Mirage G4 will remain on the market to handle some sedan demand, but that Lancer production will end this August. Swearingen did explain that there will probably be leftover stock for a few months after the end of production, but that the car would effectively be gone this summer with 2017 its final model year. He said the sedan market is shrinking and the company needs to make sure any new product it develops is profitable, which is why Mitsubishi continues to shift its focus to the ever-growing crossover market and there are no current plans for a new Lancer. It should also be noted that the current Lancer was introduced a decade ago and wasn't terribly competitive to begin with. Still, we'll miss the Lancer line, even if it was only for the hope that we'd see another Lancer Evolution someday. Related Video:
Mitsubishi slashes annual profit forecast on slowing car sales
Wed, Nov 6 2019TOKYO — Mitsubishi Motors on Wednesday cut its full-year profit outlook by 67% as it expects sluggish demand in North America and China will continue, while a strong yen and research and development costs will also hurt the automaker's bottom line. Japan's sixth-largest automaker now expects operating profit to come in at 30.0 billion yen in the year to March, down from a previous forecast for 90.0 billion yen. The new outlook would be Mitsubishi's lowest profit since the year ended March 2017. The downgrade comes after Mitsubishi, in which Nissan holds a controlling stake, reported a 78% plunge in operating profit during the July-September quarter to 6.3 billion yen, lower than a mean forecast for 16.26 billion yen from analysts polled by Refinitiv. It joins a growing number of Japanese automakers which are bracing for lower profitability. Earlier on Wednesday, Subaru lowered its annual profit forecast due to a stronger yen and a cut in domestic output due to a major typhoon last month. Mazda and Suzuki have also cut their respective outlooks within the past month due to slowing demand for their cars. Earnings/Financials Mitsubishi
