Albany, New York, United States
Before I begin, do not ask me for less money..The vehicle is WORTH double what im asking, I am just selling it for what I know I can realistically get for it.. This is a $5,000-6,000 car bone stock and we all know, most that buy these, dont keep them bone stock for long.
For sale I have my 1999 Eclipse gst spyder. I bought the car 100% stock from a dealer for $6,000 for the sole purpose of having a stock un molested car to build. (have photos of the car in stock form off the lot as well as the ebay ad description of the car before I bought it) I have over $35,000 in parts receipts alone for the car and about $10,000-12,000 in labor receipts not including friends helping out.. Also not including the $6,000 retail paint job I traded my Ducatti motorcycle for.. I also have the original receipt from the dealer for $6,000 & a copy of the craigslist ad for $2,500 that I spent JUST on a GSX donor car to perform the All wheel drive conversion. The cars condition out of a 1-10 is a 10 inside and out, the car is 100% flawless... There is not a single scratch, ding dent and ABSOLUTELY no rust.. Strut towers are flawless as seen in pictures and the undercarriage is in unbelievable shape. All parts are brand new and have less then 5 miles on them or less shell has only 106k miles on it parts list are as follows - Bottom end - 2.3 stroked 6 bolt Eagle H beam rods un-cut 4g64 crank ARP high tinsle main studs ARP head studs Mahle 10:1 forged pistons Mahle tru-seal hi comp rings Metal Gasket & Felpro engine set Block blasted, balance shafts eliminated, centerlined engine Top end - 6 bolt head big port and polish job Kelford 280 cams Supertech 1mm oversized valves Buschur racing dual valve springs Buschur racing titanium retainers Ferrea Valve seal kit JMF race version sheet metal intake manifold JMF s90 70mm Throttle body Turbo related - Forced Performance HTA86 dual ball bearing turbo Tial Q blow off valve DNP tubular manifold precision 46mm Wastegate custom dump tube Apexi front mount intercooler Custom made charge piping custom made intake with AEM filter Turbosmart dual stage boost controller with high/low boost Clutch related - ACT Race twin disc ACT prolite AWD flywheel short throw shifter Fuel related - Fic 1650cc injectors single fuel lab 1500hp fuel pump Summit racing 16 gallon plastic fuel cell fuelab fuel pressure regulator stainless fuel lines earls plumbing fuel filter jaz products in line fuel filter Electronics/computer related - DSM ECM link v3 eprom'd ecu AEM digital wideband AEM digital boost gauge AEM digital oil pressure gauge Fuel level gauge for fuel cell Other - Custom GM ZR1 Jet stream blue color change paint job custom NHRA spec roll cage with removable door bar kit on drivers side for street use custom made front exit exhaust Black ebay racing seats 4 pt harness' 6000k hid head lights trunk relocated battery with battery holder double din DVD player custom powdercoated 17" ASA wheels VIS evo carbon fiber hood Tanabe lowering springs The car starts runs and drives under its own power, but needs to finish being tuned. I have brought this car 4 times to be tuned and have spent $1,500+ every time whether it be for bigger injectors, ran out of fuel pump, needing a bigger intercooler, ext... The vehicle made 400awhp at only 13 pounds of boost.. I have spent 2 years and more then $50,000 on this car and enough is enough, I have completely lost interest. I am in the process of supercharging my viper and just purchased a 360 ferarri so the dsm is the furthest thing from priority.. With a finished tune, this car is gaurenteed to put down over 700AWHP and be in the 9 second quarter mile range. Mitsubishi's new Outlander could herald the return of Ralliart
Tue, Aug 3 2021Mitsubishi is on the cusp of reviving its dormant Ralliart performance line, and a new report suggests the label will return on a sportier version of the latest Outlander PHEV. The model could make its debut in late 2021. Ralliart's unexpected revival was announced during a presentation made to investors in May 2021, though no further details were released. Japanese magazine Best Car learned from unnamed sources that the new Outlander PHEV (pictured) expected to break cover in the coming months will be the first Ralliart-branded model in several years. How Mitsubishi will make the Outlander PHEV worthy of a name rooted in rallying remains to be seen. The transformation will include a race-inspired body kit, according to Best Car, and we're hoping more power from the electrified powertrain is part of the equation as well. While the Ralliart label could merely denote a sporty-looking trim level, like Mercedes-Benz's AMG Line designation or F Sport in Lexus-speak, there's a chance it will sooner or later be linked to racing. Mitsubishi boss Takao Kato revealed his team is considering returning to the rallying scene in the coming years to renew ties with the company's racing heritage. He stressed a rally program hasn't been approved yet, partly because racing is expensive, and he clarified that a new Lancer Evolution is not in the cards even though shareholders are requesting one. Interestingly, we should have seen the Outlander Ralliart already; it was reportedly scheduled to be unveiled at the 2021 edition of the Tokyo Motor Salon but the event was canceled due to pandemic-related concerns. Mitsubishi could keep the model under wraps until the 2022 show opens its doors, or it might introduce it elsewhere a little earlier. Regardless, if the report is accurate we won't have to wait long to find out how Ralliart has been reinvented. As for the next Outlander PHEV, it will land in late 2021 first in Japan and arrive in U.S. showrooms halfway through 2022. Related video: This content is hosted by a third party. New, never-sold 2006 Mitsubishi Evo draws $100K bid on eBay
Wed, Jul 19 2017Today, in the "OK, guess it must be worth that to somebody" department, we note that a California car dealer has an eBay listing for a 2006 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution, still brand new and never titled, with nine miles on the odometer. Just another day on eBay, right, and just another car that didn't sell, was hoarded, or somehow forgotten in a barn? Not exactly. The top bid as of Wednesday morning was $100,100. The Evo was a popular car (for a Mitsubishi) in its day, in a cult-of-personality way. And though its run ended with the 2015 model year, a quick inventory search shows there are still around 30 of them sitting brand-new on dealer lots, including the #0001-of-1,600 Lancer Evolution Final Edition, a $70,000 MSRP limited-edition car in Rally Red that a Brooklyn dealer is trying to move for $87,888. Most of the remainders are listed in the $30,000s, however. The 2006 eBay car is listed by South Coast Mitsubishi in Orange County, a dealer who by one Redditer's account laid up a bunch of Evos like bottles of fine wine and sold them off at higher prices. If so, is this the last one in the cellar? And why did the dealership set a car aside in 2006, when they were plentiful and long before the model's demise? For whatever reason, this 2006 car has time-traveled to 2017, with seats still wrapped in plastic and an engine bay you could perform surgery in. It's an Evo IX MR in Graphite Gray with black trim. Base MSRP was a bit more than $35K. It's optioned with the MR package that includes some aluminum and carbon-fiber bits and boost-gauge kit, the Zero Lift aero kit, and it has a six-speed manual. Bottom line on the sticker was $37,094. Specs for that year: The Evo had a 2.0-liter, 16-value inline four making 286 horsepower with 289 pound-feet of torque. The car's curb weight was 3,300 pounds, and its 0-to-60 time was a highly impressive 4.4 seconds. Yet, for $100K or a little more or a lot less, think of all the amazing 2017 new cars, equipped with the latest technology, that would dominate it - Tesla Model S, Lexus LC 500, BMW M2, Mercedes C63 AMG, Alfa Giulia Quadrifoglio, Camaro ZL1, Porsche 911 Carrera S, Dodge Demon, Dodge Hellcat, Corvette ZL1. Even a Mustang GT350 could edge it out, and if you drove a hard bargain you might be able to afford two. So, can a Mitsubishi triple its value by sitting around for a decade undriven? Is this in any way a collectible, to keep undriven as an investment?
Junkyard Gem: 1989 Mitsubishi Galant Sedan
Tue, Apr 21 2020The history of the Mitsubishi Galant in North America goes all the way back to the 1971 model year, when Chrysler imported the first-generation Galant and badged it as the Dodge Colt. Later in the 1970s, we got Galant coupes badged as Dodge Challengers and Plymouth Sapporos, and Mitsubishi began selling Galants (now with front-wheel-drive) with the company's own badging starting in the 1985 model year. The sixth-generation Galant arrived here for the 1989 model year, as a stylish and technology-packed competitor to the Taurus, Camry, and Accord, and it made a fair-sized splash in the automotive world. You'd have a tough time finding one of these cars today, but this '89 appeared in a self-service yard in Phoenix a couple of months back and I was there to document it. 159,385 miles is a respectable total for a 1980s car, and this one looks clean enough to indicate that it had conscientious owners for most of its 31-year life. Check out the dual analog trip counters, the sort of cool little feature Mitsubishi did so well during this era. One of this car's owners (probably its final owner) applied glue-on bling to many locations inside the car. A fairly typical Japanese sedan interior for the late 1980s and early 1990s, though a bit flashier than what Toyota and Honda were doing at the time. The base Galant sedan listed at $10,971 in 1989, versus $12,400 for a Ford Taurus L sedan, $12,105 for a base Chevrolet Celebrity sedan, $11,488 for a base Toyota Camry sedan, and $11,770 for a Honda Accord DX sedan. That was a good price for a competent and fuel-efficient sedan with a modicum of sportiness. Power came from a 2.0-liter 4G63 Sirius four-cylinder rated at 102 horsepower. This engine went into a list of vehicles longer than a Mitsubishi HIIB rocket, everything from the Eclipse to the Great Wall Coolbear, and you can buy a brand-new BAW BJ2022 Brave Warrior with 4G63 power to this day. Protected by the Nassau County PBA and Radio Shack. This car must have begun its career in New York, then moved to Arizona. Some Americans still bought midsize sedans with manual transmissions during this era, but their numbers were in steep decline (Ford stopped selling three-pedal Tauruses, other than the SHO after 1988). This car has an automatic, though I have found a bullet-riddled '91 Galant with a 5-speed during my junkyard travels. This content is hosted by a third party.
