The car is in immaculate condition, and the mileage is at 20,800. I have just brought it to Mitsubishi service center for scheduled maintenance and all is up to date. Warranty still good as the car is below its original purchase warranty limits. For warranty details ask me.

The car has an advanced alarm system by KARR with a premium theft/loss warranty that fully replaces the vehicle up to the value in the event the car is stolen or lost. This premium security also involves an advanced alarm chip installed in the dash that further improves the cars alarm system to deter theft.

The interior is all black leather and black trim. The tint makes it very private and sleek, and gives it a very sexy appeal.

The touch screen system is the Kenwood DNN990HD Excelon system, top of the line premium. The system is installed so that video playback is possible at all times. I have a jump drive with 300+ music videos plugged into one of the USB cables located within the glove compartment and can drive while music videos are playing (Nice feature that I like). This system is WIFI capable, so you can use mobile wifi from a phone or find local connections and surf the web, use pandora, youtube, etc right on the dash. There is DVD playback, 3D maps and voice controlled navigation with up to date traffic information and location finder, and the system is bluetooth ready for handsfree cell phone usage.

The car is pristine, except a few tiny nicks from obvious driving. Easily solved issues that are only noticeable to an owner. I have the rear debadged and installed a "limited" decal to cover the original holes where the mitsubishi decal was. Ironically, this new decal gave the wide framed rear an exotic appeal and I am often asked what kind of car it is. I may order new grills for the front to fully debadge the car, but I will see if I get any offers prior to doing so.

There is a lot to the car, so if you have any questions feel free to ask. The car is not even fully broken in yet, the engine is immaculate, and the car is babied on every level. Northstar White second version 4th generation Eclipse GT is rather rare, and I believe this one represents them very well.

Shipping:

I am willing to travel to deliver the car if the location is near a large airport. I can easily work a delivery trip into my schedule if we agree on the terms of the sale. The buyer will be responsible for paying an agreed upon amount for gas and travel (negotiable) if this is the case, or otherwise the buyer is responsible for all delivery costs however we go about it.

Nissan's purchase of Mitsubishi is officially official

Thu, Oct 20 2016

After the company's announcement in May, the Nissan's purchase of a 34 percent stake in Mitsubishi is now official. The deal cost Nissan $2.3 billion, according to the Wall Street Journal, and brings Mitsubishi into the Nissan-Renault Alliance. The company explained that this new partnership will manifest itself in shared vehicle platforms and technology, joint purchasing, and shared manufacturing. Nissan also said that this purchase will make the company one of the three largest companies by volume in the world. Nissan also emphasized that Mitsubishi will very much be a partner in the current alliance with Renault. In addition, Carlos Ghosn, CEO of both Nissan and Renault, has been nominated to be the new chairman of the Mitsubishi board. With Ghosn at the head of the board, current Mitsubishi president and CEO, Osamu Masuko, will remain in his positions but Nissan's current chief competitive officer will join Masuko as co-chief executive officer at Mitsubishi. With these companies now working together, we'll probably start seeing more commonality between Nissan and Mitsubishi products here in the States. It would also be a great opportunity to get some of Mitsubishi's cooler products here. Perhaps Mitsubishi and Nissan will take our hint about the Delica. This article has been revised to clarify that Nissan Motors purchased the stake in Mitsubishi, not the Nissan-Renault Alliance, and to add the value of the purchase. Turns out Mitsubishi's history is far more interesting than we thought

Fri, Apr 3 2020

Former Autoblog editor-in-chief Mike Austin was kind enough to drop this little nugget onto Twitter yesterday: the history of Mitsubishi timeline on the company's press website. Basically, it's a virtual museum, spanning from the 1917 Mitsubishi Model A to the 2008 Galant Fortis Sportback. Frankly, it's not that surprising that they didn't go much further beyond that, but still, the timeline provides both a fun trip down memory lane and an introduction to fun and/or wacky JDM models we never got.  Besides showing photos, there's actually a sizable amount of info for each, which has quite clearly and often delightfully been translated from Japanese. Take the New Minica Toppo that "adopted a 1:2 door configuration with a single door on the driver's side and two doors on the passenger side (think a Hyundai Veloster), as well as a 'Super High Roof' that added 70 mm to the height of the standard roof ... Addressing the desire to drive something a little different, the lineup was soon joined by a number of variants with personalities designed to bring more fun to the class and including the recreation specification Carabosse, the young mother and baby-oriented Marble, and the Town Bee with its round frog-eye headlamps projecting just forward of the leading edge of the engine hood." Also, check out those diagonal door handles. There are more than just JDM kei car oddities, however. There's the Mitsubishi FTO, which you may remember from Gran Turismo and other racing video games from back in the day. It was "a car that delivered fun-to-drive qualities in abundance (and) was selected 1994-1995 Japan Car of the Year." If you didn't know, it was called the FTO because it slotted below the Mitsubishi GTO, the car you know as the 3000GT. I didn't know that before. Thanks, timeline! There's also the off-roady JDM Delica vans that are now all over the Pacific Northwest having surpassed the 25-year import embargo. The 1994 Delica Space Gear (above left) was notable in that it moved the engine under the hood rather than beneath the front seats where it was previously (above right with the Delica Star Wagon), but according to the timeline "The Gear variant name was added in the belief that customers would become attached to it as a familiar 'piece of gear' for leisure and everyday purposes." Judging by the ones I see around here in Portland, mission accomplished. "Suspension was by double wishbone at the front and a 5-link with coil spring arrangement at the rear.

Spectator killed in seventh stage of Dakar Rally

Tue, Jan 12 2016

Not surprisingly, tragedy has struck at the Dakar Rally this year. A vehicle hit a spectator in the seventh stage of the rally on Saturday, along the stretch between Uyuni, Bolivia, and Salta, Argentina. Running in 52nd place, the Mitsubishi Lancer driven by French contestant Lionel Baud hit a 63-year-old spectator. Emergency medical personnel responded to the accident, only to declare the man dead on the scene. This was the second time a competing vehicle collided with spectators in this year's event. During the Prologue stage a week ago, Guo Meiling drove her Mini into a crowd of spectators, injuring eleven – including a father and son who were hospitalized in critical condition. This is the first time, however, that a death occurred as part of the rally since 2013, when a support vehicle collided with two taxis in Peru and killed two. Though still in progress, this year's rally has been dominated thus far by the Peugeot team. All but the opening Prologue stage have been won by the French team, with Sebastien Loeb winning three out of six full stages run so far. His teammate Stephane Peterhansel has won another two, while Carlos Sainz won the tragic seventh stage on Saturday. Following Sunday's rest day, there remain another six stages before the rally concludes in Rosario on January 16.
