Please call 816-244-5650 with any questions NO RESERVE SO BID TO WIN!!! I have a 1998 Mitsubishi 3000gt VR-4 Twin Turbo All Wheel Drive for sale. This car was checked over by Ace Automotive Empire in St. Joseph Missouri and everything that wasn't up to par was fixed. They installed a brand new clutch and a brand new turbo on the car just last week($2700). The 3.0 Twin Turbocharged engine runs excellent and exactly how it should. No spits or sputters or funny noises. Full 120k service done at 121k miles includes- Water Pump, oil pump, timing belt, NGK sparks Plugs and Bosch wires. Valve stem seals were replaced. Heads were hot tanked and decked and a valve job was done as well. 60k service includes- transmission replaced and transfer case serviced HKS mushroom foam intake HKS turbo timer Aluminum Flywheel(Fidanza i think) This was all done 6k miles ago which is why this car runs so flawlessly :) It has the very much sought after 6 speed manual transmission. This transmission shifts really good and smooth. The only complaint i have is when you shift to 2nd gear and the rpms are up higher, it has a slight grind. The syncronizer would have to be replaced to make it perfect. It's about a $200 repair if you drop the tranny off at a shop that will replace it. I can drive it without grinding it 100% of the time so i saw no need to fix it. The interior is tan and black. In my opinion, this is the best color combination they made...Pearl White Paint with tan and black interior. The leather seats are in good shape with no rips, tears, or burns along with the rest of the interior. The drivers seat bolster has a little wear but is not torn or anything like that. I just wanted to note that it doesn't look new. This newer bodystyle is also the most sought after 3000gt ever made. It combines the best of sport and class all in one. The exterior of the body is also in very good shape for a car this age. Please refer to the pictures. There are no dents at all that i can see. There may be a few blemishes in the paint in the form of small rock chip etc but nothing really noticeable. It has an aftermarket cd player and Pioneer speakers all around professionally installed that looks and works really nice. The factory chrome wheels wrapped in Toyo Proxes Performace tires all around (appx 7k miles on them) shine really nice and definitely set off the pearl white exterior. The windows are tinted 20% and look really nice as well. Sylvania Silverstar Ultra High and Low Beam Bulbs EVO IX Metal Bypass Valve ProSport Premium Peak/Warn white/ amber gauges in stock center dash locations (water temp, oil pressure, boost pressure from left to right). The gauges have been excellent and i have had no issues with them. They are connected to accessory lights and change color when you turn on the headlights New Interstate Batter Last Year Replaced Battery Cable Ends Replaced with Centric brake pads and rotors al around Replaced motorized antenna witha 14" shorty-great reception Replaced shifter bushings with solid bushings Replaced reverse light switch in transmission Power Locks work perfectly Power windows word perfectly Sunroof works great! Power HEATED seats! AC Blows Cold and Heat Blows Hot just like it should It has dual exhaust from the factory and sounds AWESOME! KYB GR2 Struts Tein Stech Springs 3SX Adjustable Lower Control Arms 3SX Stainless Steel Full Length Downpipe and Rear Cat Eliminator 3SX EGR Delete (Check engine light stays on because of this and cat delete)(SRS Light on too) 3SX Engine Mounts New Axles and Hub Assembles on both front wheels The suspension is tight all the way around. This is the best handling car i've ever driven in my life. If you're looking for a really rare car that will be worth more and more money the longer you have it, this is the car for you. These cars have become very scarce over the last few years and are becoming harder to find by the day. Of course you can find raced out and torn up 3000gts and stealths but if you're looking for an unmolested 3000gt that has been maintained with high quality replacement parts and modded conservatively while maintaining the original look, this is the car for you. If you're looking for value in a car for the money, this is the car for you. Clean and clear title in hand. Please call if you have any questions or would like to come look at the car in person. It's located in st. joseph MO 64503. $500 deposit is due via paypal within 24hrs of auction end 816-244-5650 call with any questions As long as the car is paid for in full within 7 days, i can store the car for you as long as you need. |

Watch Mitsubishi Express van bend its way to 0-star crash test rating
Wed, Mar 3 2021Mitsubishi became a champion of economies of scale when it joined the Renault-Nissan alliance in 2016, but the merger triggered at least one undesirable side effect. The Express, a badge-engineered version of the Renault Trafic van, received a zero-star crash test rating from the Australasian New Car Assessment Program (ANCAP). Released in Australia and in New Zealand in 2020, the Express was damned by the safety watchdog for lacking chest protection, a central airbag to prevent the occupants from hitting each other and an airbag for the passenger sitting in the middle of the three-person bench. ANCAP also noted the model is not available with electronic driving aids, like automatic emergency braking, pedestrian detection and lane-keeping assist. Mitsubishi Express crash test View 8 Photos Consequently, the Express scored 55% for adult occupant protection, 40% for vulnerable road user protection, and 7% for safety assist. ANCAP argued the Express is a safety hazard even to motorists not traveling in it. "The front structure of the Express presented a high risk to the occupants of an oncoming vehicle," it wrote, adding that this gave the van a penalty. It pointed out that more driving aids would have increased the rating, however. While vans often lag behind in the safety department, scoring zero stars is highly unusual, especially in 2021; the last-generation Express managed to score a one-star rating in 2011. The Toyota HiAce tested in 2019 received a five-star rating, while the made-in-China LDV G10 managed to score three stars in a 2015 crash test. In Europe, the Trafic that the Express is based on earned a three-star rating in 2015, though tests have gotten stricter since. Related Video: This content is hosted by a third party. 2015 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport Quick Spin
Thu, Oct 22 2015The Mitsubishi Outlander Sport is not new. It is also not sporty. Despite it all, the Outlander Sport is selling better than ever. Between 3,000 and 5,000 people take one of these crossovers home each month. That's good for Mitsubishi, a company clinging to life in the US market. But the Outlander's sales are a mere blip; that's about a week's worth of handshakes and signatures on Ford Escapes, at best. Until new product arrives, this is the stuff Mitsubishi has on the ground to sell, and the company has said it's committed to sticking around. That means I got to spend some time recently with a 2015 Outlander Sport SE with AWC (All-Wheel Control – you know, all-wheel drive). There are updates and changes for 2015, including an available 168-horsepower, 2.4-liter engine for ES and GT models, revised CVT, LED running lamps, thicker glass, better sound insulation, and electric power steering. But because I drove an E, I was locked into the 2.0 liter engine. It's the 4B11, a version of the GEMA engine, co-developed with Hyundai and DaimlerChrysler back in the Cretaceous. Driving Notes The most amazing thing I found after a week with the Outlander Sport is that it can bend the laws of physics. This is not a compact crossover so much as it's a time machine. Swing that door shut, and every trip takes place in 2008. Styling is pretty good. There's not a bad line on the Outlander Sport. It sits right on its relatively short wheelbase, and looks good doing it. I had low expectations for the powertrain. Most of my GEMA engine experienced comes from time with the Jeep Compass and Patriot, which are horrific NVH factories. Mitsubishi's version of this engine is more refined, and has a healthy 148 horsepower and 145 pound-feet of torque. The CVT has been revised to mimic the action of a seven-speed transmission. Why bother? The simulacrum doesn't hold. It's the typical 70/30 CVT split: unobtrusive 70 percent of the time, slippy and weird the other 30 percent. That same 70/30 split applies to on-road behavior. Most of the time, the Outlander Sport drives decently. Those other times, it just wants you to chill. Structural rigidity isn't up there with the segment leaders. Road noise is still higher than I'd have liked. This car has the single worst infotainment system I have ever experienced. Totally refused to pair with my phone, ever. This is not an isolated case for a Mitsu with this headunit.
Mitsubishi Outlander rumored to get Nissan engine, Rogue Sport to get PHEV
Mon, May 11 2020A report in the Japanese business daily Nikkei, picked up by Automotive News, said Mitsubishi anticipates using a Nissan engine in the next-generation Outlander headed our way later this year. If the report comes true, the engine swap would be a first for the Renault-Nissan-Mitsubishi alliance partners outside of Japanese kei cars. Mitsubishi engineers will have an easier time slotting in a Nissan engine as the next-gen Outlander gives up its GS platform — an architecture Mitsubishi co-developed with Daimler Chrysler almost 20 years ago — to move to a modified version of the CMF platform that supports the Nissan Rogue and Qashqai, our Rogue Sport.  Last December, Auto Express spoke to Ponz Pandikuthira, NissanÂ’s European vice president of product planning. The exec said Nissan had two hybrid powertrains under consideration for the next-generation Qashqai, the first being Nissan's serial hybrid ePower system that's fared well in Japan where overall speeds are low, but that might not be suited to Europe's higher average speeds. As for a PHEV, Pandikuthira said, "WeÂ’re not pursuing a big plug-in hybrid strategy. On some car lines weÂ’ll try it out, but the business case for plug-in hybrids is not very good." Completing the round-turn, Nikkei said Mitsubishi would supply its PHEV for the compact Nissan, making the Qashqai the car line that gets the tryout. If that happens, and assuming Nissan brings it here, the Rogue Sport would be Nissan's first PHEV in the U.S. Nissan has tended to delay updating the Rogue Sport to Qashqai spec, so depending on when a PHEV version arrives, it could be the only hybrid in Nissan's U.S. fleet since the Rogue Hybrid retired for the 2020 model year. The platform and engine exchange would have been planned before Nissan's troubles over the past 18 months, but they represent the alliance's growing effort for greater synergy and lower costs. One supposed tactic going forward comes from the Volkswagen Group playbook, identifying a brand's expertise and putting the brand in charge of developing that expertise for the alliance, the same way the Volkswagen brand develops low-cost platforms and Audi runs R&D for the group. We'll know more about plans afoot at the Franco-Japanese trio when the alliance unveils its new midterm business plan perhaps as soon as this month. Related Video:   Â
