We purchased this MINI as a CPO vehicle from MINI of San Antonio with a little over 12,000 miles on the odometer.  All of the service & repairs have been completed at miniofsa, and we can provide the complete service history upon demand. If your seeking good clean pre-owned MINI, we believe you will be hard pressed to find one of this year and style in better condition.  The only reason we're even selling it is because of a parents passing and we inherited a brand new Cadillac and no longer drive the MINI.

2014 Mini Cooper S

Fri, 27 Jun 2014

One of the big challenges as an automotive journalist is reviewing cars that you have a personal connection to. I have a strong passion for Minis. My first new car was a 2004 Cooper S, and I still own a 2006 model. It's this affinity that's left me with a general disdain of the 2007 to 2013 model relative to my first-gen.
The last-generation cars, with their turbocharged engines, softer suspensions, duller steering and homelier looks are, in my mind, inferior to their 2002 to 2006 predecessors. As a car reviewer, though, I couldn't in good conscience argue the same point. The R56, as the last-gen cars were known internally and by enthusiasts, was a better-balanced vehicle that retained the lion's share of the abilities and character of the first-generation, R53 Cooper S, but they were better thought out, better designed, more livable, and felt like more complete products.
Before the third-generation of the reborn Mini Cooper S landed in my driveway, I couldn't help but wonder whether the model would continue its slide towards mass appeal, or if it would re-embrace the enthusiast realm with a stronger driver-focused mission. As I found out during my week with the car, it was a bit of both.

Mini is sending some buyers a car-sized puzzle to apologize for delivery delays

Fri, Jun 24 2022

The ongoing chip shortage has wreaked havoc on automotive supply chains around the world, causing a diverse selection of side effects including long delivery delays. Mini has found a clever way for some of its customers to pass the time: It's sending them a giant Mini puzzle. Created by advertising agency Pereira O'Dell, the puzzle's full name is the "we're-working-hard-to-get-you-your-car, waiting-is-the-worst, in-the-meantime-happy-puzzling Mini puzzle." It sounds like the company has created several designs, though the only image it published shows a red hatchback with white stripes on a red background. It's huge; the dimensions weren't published, but it looks like it takes up a car-sized spot in a garage. The pieces look relatively big, but completing the puzzle will likely require several days of trial and error. Mini notes that not every buyer who is waiting to take delivery of one of its cars will receive a life-sized puzzle; only "select new customers" will get one. It's sending normal-sized puzzles to some of its other customers, however. There's no word on how recipients are selected. Delays have plagued nearly every carmaker in the past few months, so Mini isn't alone. The company has temporarily stopped building cars equipped with a manual transmission to simplify its range. While it hasn't revealed precisely how long customers need to wait before taking delivery, its consumer website warns that "due to increased customer demand, production availability of model year 2023 Mini models is limited." It adds that the estimated delivery time for custom-built orders varies "depending on trims, packages, options, and location." Related video: This content is hosted by a third party. Mini celebrates racing success with John Cooper Works Countryman ALL4 Dakar Winner 2013

Tue, 05 Mar 2013

French drivers Stéphane Peterhansel and Jean-Paul Cottret drove a Mini Countryman to a class win at this year's Dakar Rally, and to commemorate their win, Mini has introduced a limited-volume car that will only be sold in France. The Mini John Cooper Works Countryman ALL4 Dakar Winner 2013 might be a mouthful to say, but it's a fitting tribute to Peterhansel's eleventh Dakar win as this Countryman is painted to look like the rally car and only 11 will be sold in the Peterhansel's home country.
Sporting a similar green-over-matte-black paint scheme as the Dakar Countryman, the JCW Countryman ALL4 Dakar Winner 2013 also adds green accents to the full-length top and side stripes, the side marker lights and also contrasting stitching inside the cabin. Adding to the car's rally look, this special edition will also include the racers' number card on the front doors, Dakar decals on the front and rear and Peterhansel's signature on the hood. Grille-mounted rally lights, bright red brake calipers and unique 19-inch wheels with dark-painted inserts finish off the exterior design.
