2008 Mini Cooper S Convertible - 6 Speed Manual Transmission - 13,180 One Owner CarFax Documented Miles Never saw a body shop. I am selling this car for a close friend's wife. The certified check will be made out to the name on the title. She only drove this vehicle in the nice weather as a second car, as verified by the very low miles. It slept in a garage in the winter. This stunning automobile is second to none. Mint condition - no dents, dimples or scratches. Interior is also flawless. Power retractable top is also excellent. This car cost almost $32,000.00 before sales taxes when new. I don't know too much about these cars, but I was told it's loaded with all options. It comes with a custom fit car cover for winter storage. Bid with total confidence and drive it home to anywhere in the country. The owner is a motivated seller because she needs the garage space for her new car! Any questions call 516-228-1016 and leave a message if I’m not in.
Please don’t wait until the last day or last few hours to contact me. Please
speak clearly. I will pick you up at the airport, train or bus station.
Winning bidder please
leave a $500.00 non-refundable deposit in PayPal within 48 hours of the auction
close. If I don't receive the deposit within the 48 hours I will re-list the
car.
Please plan on picking this vehicle up within 15 days of the auction close unless you have made prior arrangements with me before bidding.
If the winning bidder is not happy after examination and road test, I will cancel the sale and refund $425.00 of your deposit.
Good luck and thanks for looking! |

Mini fesses up to Countryman clutch issue, plans fix
Sat, 10 Nov 2012Aside from the general lack of snow in the Midwest earlier this year that hampered our ability to properly play with our Blizzak-equipped Mini Contryman long-term test vehicle, the biggest problem we had with this crossover during the year we spent with it was the transmission. On four different monthly updates (September, October, November and June), all in the hands of different Autoblog editors, the Countryman's clutch was called out for being too finicky, leading to many stall outs. Apparently, we weren't alone in our assessment of the Countryman's clutch woes.
According to MotoringFile, Mini has updated the Countryman with a different clutch material and improved software. This much-needed change is being implemented starting this month, but Mini hasn't said what it is doing about existing 2011 and 2012 Countryman models that are afflicted with this problem.
Head over to MotoringFile to see the full official statement from Mini USA on this issue.
2015 Mini Cooper snapped uncovered on the road
Mon, 30 Sep 2013The third generation of reborn Mini is nearly upon us. Just look at the trail of breadcrumbs the Anglo-Saxon automaker has been leaving us.
First we saw the upcoming new Mini Cooper, spied from above at a photo shoot, which Mini was quick to point out was not its best angle. Then BMW's retro-hatch division showcased the Mini Vision concept, and followed up just yesterday with details of the new engines and chassis that will underpin the latest model. And now we have the clearest batch of spy shots we've seen yet.
Not only were these shots taken from a better angle, but also show the new Mini in the more tempting Cooper S trim - complete with hood scoop, split-spoke alloys, roof spoiler and twin central exhaust tips.
Mini's Superleggera concept could see production; here's what it might look like
Fri, 30 May 2014We fell in love with the Mini Superleggera Vision Concept from the moment we laid eyes on it. The little convertible blends retro and modern together better than any Mini in years. There is even more good news about the roadster as well because the company is considering actually building it. We even have some renders of what the production version could look like.
Mini boss Peter Schwarzenbauer tells Automotive News at the 2014 Concorso d'Eleganza Villa d'Este, that the Superleggera might have a life beyond its debut. "We wanted to test how Mini enthusiasts worldwide were reacting to such a different type of Mini. So far, it has re
ceived overwhelming appreciation," he said to AN. But here's the bad news. All of the unique elements of the droptop wouldn't be cheap to build. Pricing would likely be around 35,000 euros if BMW gives it the green light, according to Schwarzenbauer. It's too early to know whether the road car would use the electric motor from the concept or something more conventional.
