MG TD has 1500 engine with fresh overhaul. Chassis # TD19649, Runs, drives, stops, but has needs to be a driver. Comes with top and side curtains all need new fabric. Speedometer has been replaced so the mileage is unknown. It does not have a data plate it has an Arizona VIN reissue. I have a clear Texas title and called Arizona DMV and they have the record of the VIN going on a 1953 MG TD but no record of why. The brakes cylinders rebuilt brakes work master cylinder leaks some. Original car no rust other than surface that I have found there is some wood rot on drivers side floors wood was replaced long ago with metal plates they are functional but the fit is not the best. They were no welded in rather bolted and screw in so they can easily be replaced with wood . Tires are very old they hold air but I wouldn't trust them at road speed for long. Engine has all new parts except cam and Rods, Crank .030/,030 bore 0.30 new valves, push rods and tappets, oil pump, timing chain and gears, water pump, converted to alternator, new Weber DGV 32\36 carburetor, fuel pump, new clutch. New Equus Temperature and oil pressure gauge, speedometer cable missing and not original gauges. Transmission and rear end is original to car. I have run it up and down the road at 30 - 40 MPH and all works well in the drive train. Purchased this car along with other parts as a lot. If I don't sell it with this auction listing I will do a frame off restoration this winter.
