1953 MGTD (TD26849) - late series TD that has been in my familt since 1975. Purchased from the original owner here in the states and restored with new paint and interior in late 1980. My father ran around in this car until June 1997 when he passed me the keys and told me it was mine! What? Drove the car home and it sat in the garage for about 5 years, Began a complete frame off restoration after noticing large amounts of rust in the door panels and rear fenders. Restoration took more than 5 year with new wood framing, door panels as well as rear quarter panels replaced. New wiring, dashboard, interior as well as all chrome piece completely redone. Rebuilt engine with new chromemoly crankshaft, large capacity radiator, add on brake fluid reservior along with a few extra for looks. Car has been garage kept and driven to car shows, local markets and parades only. Maybe, 2,000 miles since restoration was completed. Car is in great shape, needs a little tune up and TLC for someone that need a great weekend cruiser.
