1951 Mg Td on 2040-cars

1951 MG TD restored.  This is not a concourse car, not perfect, it would make someone a nice driver quality.

A long story with this MG. It was a stalled project when I had purchased it. Most of the work was already completed, however the owner and painter had passed away and the car set. Many, many new parts from Moss Motors and Abington Spares. Over $40,000 invested and countless hours. Here's some highlights.

* frame stripped, cleaned, and painted black

* total body worked over, wood replaced where needed, new floors

* clipper blue paint, very nice finish. Some very small imperfections from storage/handling

* all new leather interior, panels, & carpet

* new hydraulics, brakes, seals & etc

* stainless exhaust

* majority chrome replated, triple chroming process

* all new cloth wiring harnesses

* new steering wheel, dash, & etc (small imperfection in dash)

* new rear springs

* original radiator cleaned, very good shape

* relays and additional fuses installed for headlights and horns. No alterations to new factory style wiring harnesses. New lights and etc.

* fuel tank sealed, new fuel pump & system, carbs completely rebuilt. Carbs need the drain lines.

* engine runs good, no smoking, knocks, etc. Typical oil leaks. Oil pressure 30 PSI hot.

* new bumpers & overiders

* new correct fasteners throughout

* lots of documentation, manuals, specs, books, etc.

Late TD model engine and transmission installed, previously rebuilt, mileage unknown. I have extra parts including a complete early engine, carbs, transmission, & etc; for addition price if interested after auction.
