1974 MG Midget

The Good:

Car runs and drives. Transmission shifts smoothly with no grinding through all the gears.. The car was garaged for the last 25 years and not driven untill Summer of 2012. The following new parts were installed last summer to get it running; clutch master/slave cylinders, distributor, rotor, and plugs. Complete front and rear break kits (rotors, pads, rear cylinder, break drums, lines). New head and exhaust manifold gaskets. Replaced all fluids. No rust on the floor or in the trunk of the car, there is some minor rust on the firewall (see pictures). The car also has wired wheel spare and original floor jack in the trunk. A working AM/FM cassette radio is installed in the glovebox.

The Bad

Car does not have original SU carburator, it has an aftermarket Webber carburator installed and it needs to be adjusted. As you accelerate if you press on the gas pedal too hard it looses power. Body is in good shape with little to no rust and just a few minor dings, scratches and the paint is worn away on the top of the hood(see picture). The hood release cable is rusted so it needs to be replaced. that is why the hood is not closed all the way. Head lights work, but none of the park/signal lights work. I think it is because of the after market fog lights that were attached to the bumper, after I removed it the park lights stopped working.

The Ugly

Car's interior is mostly original, except for the steering wheel(new steering wheel included with the sale). The Leather seats are worn, and the most of the carpet is gone or needs to be replaced. The new leather top shrunk and does not close completely, and has a broken piece in the convertible frame. The car had a dent on the front head light(see picture), I have the chrome cover.

Car is sold as is, no warrenty! The car is also not registered and has no plates. I have a Clean Title in hand for the car.
