This 1964 MGB was 12 years in the rebuilding process. Now it's time to say good bye so someone else can enjoy the car.

This model has the pop-out door handles. The wide white-sidewall tires really set off the car; and the real wire spoke wheels with knock-off hubs add some flash to a super little car. The top is black vinyl to match the seat upholstery. Cockpit carpet, seats, dashboard, and door panels are all black. Seats have white piping. The frame for the top is a 2-piece fold-out type. The new top needs to be fitted and the grommets placed into the fabric.

Mechanically the car is in good condition. The paint and body work is not good although not visible in the photos.

At auctions, this year and model car has sold for $17,000 to $20,000. I can discount the price of the car to accommodate the refinishing and other work which should be done.

I have some pieces of equipment which have not been installed but which are included with a purchase, such as wipers, top and weatherstripping.

Known "issues": over-heating on hot days at long traffic signals, non-working odometer, and non-working fuel gauge.

This is a perfect "project car" for a British car enthusiast who wants a good car to drive around, rebuild or restore.

I have owned the car since 1981. I have no idea how many actual miles are on the car, so the mileage shown in this advertisement is only a guess.
