1974 MGB convertible. Early mfg date of January 1974.Has the early 74 steel bumpers. This car has dealer installed air conditioning. Starts and runs with no smoke however the choke is stuck open. I use a separate fuel pump and can of gas to start and run it. The stock pump doesn't work and the fuel tank should be cleaned. Floors and trunk are solid with surface rust. Other rust as pictured. It was stored under a plastic tarp for over ten years and the paint and body surface are poor. The brakes don't work and the clutch does not work. Sounds like a manifold leak while running. There seems to be a electrical short with the charging system or the alternator plug is damaged as the old alternator smoked when I first started it. I had it rebuilt but it started smoking again so I just unplugged it. The stock 6 volt batteries have been converted to a new 12 volt series 26 diehard. It has good used tires. The windshield is cracked. The convertible top is gone but the frame is all there. This is a project car and sold as is. Inspection sticker is from 2000. Clear NJ title. It is also for sale locally so I reserve the right to end auction early. Questions welcome.
