1976 MG Midget

Here is an original 1976 Midget with 25,000 original miles that is a very nice unmolested car.

This car was purchased from the original owner’s grandson who said the original speedometer broke and was replaced in the early ‘80s. The car had between 10,000-15,000 miles on it at the time. The original owner did a repaint for fading. The car was purchased after it had been stored for several years and it needed the brakes rebuilt. At that time the keeper that locked the caliper bolts in place had never been removed---the brakes had never been replaced! The brake pads were in good enough condition it was debated whether to replace them. They were replaced. I am totally convinced this is a very low mileage car.

After it came out of storage, the tires, top, all the hydraulics and ignition parts were replaced. The car has been problem free.

The repaint was the original chartreuse green—an original MG color. It is nice but not show quality with a few scratches.
