I have been the proud owner of this restored, 1957 MGA 1500 Coupe for the last 10 years. You see lots of MGA convertible roadsters for sale, but by far, the classy little coupes are far rarer! Just a little over 6,000 were ever made. In 1957, only 3,300 were exported to North America, making this coupe very rare indeed! Some were used as race cars - with top speed of 100 MPH and 26 MPG. This well-equipped coupe attracts lots of curiosity and attention at car shows.

I've had the car maintained and serviced by a classic British car specialist in Costa Mesa, California - who installed front disk brakes - like the MGA 1600 series. Since I've owned the car, numerous other improvements (I have receipts) have been done including:

Professionally upholstered interior, dash, headliner, trunk space and tire cover in high quality, creme-colored leather and the finest Wilton wool carpeting
Custom-made seats in the MGA Competition Deluxe Style (deep cushion) for a comfortable ride
Four new Dayton chrome wire wheels
Fittings and instruments re-chromed, speedometer and gauges refurbished
New Moto-Lita steering wheel and MGA wooden shift knob
New CD player and stereo speakers, new seat belts, new side mirrors, new battery
New brake master cylinder and fuel pump, new center rear brake light
Professionally installed hidden electric door locks, door and window seals replaced, hoses and clamps replaced
The entire cockpit lined with thermal heat barrier padding, auxiliary electric fan and shroud installed to keep the radiator cooler

The chrome, body and exterior paint are all in good condition - although not perfect. You will see a few small "dimples" on the doors. Doors close solid, though sometimes stick when opening from inside. Roll-up windows operate well. Glass is good - one tiny nick in the front windshield. Underside, including wood, is in very good condition. I have included many pictures to illustrate the car's condition - inside and out. the engine and mechanics have been thoroughly checked by my British car mechanic. The engine and transmission run solid and quiet - no issues - and car shifts smoothly.
