Per the Heritage Certificate for this car, it was constructed in July of 1959 and was shipped to the US with steel wheels, and a heater (yes, heaters were an option at that time). The Heritage Certificate will be included in the sale; it will verify all numbers match. The MG also comes with a re-creation of the delivery documents that would have been included with the purchase of the car from BMC [British Motor Company].

All upgrades are period correct and were available in the 1960's from various companies, with the exception of the electronic ignition. The SuperCharger adds about 30 HP, delivering over 100 HP to the rear wheels. The 3.9 rear axle is from a 1963 MGB; it adds better brakes, comfortable highway speeds and a higher top speed (112 MPH est.). Additional components added that were not original to this car include: dual core aluminum radiator, Petronix electronic ignition, Lucas back up light, Lucas passing mirrors, Talbot-style fender mirrors, stainless steel exhaust system, Amco luggage rack, Lucas high output headlights, aluminum valve cover, Harden valve seats and guides (to allow unleaded fuel), set of analog stop watches, 3-inch competition style lap belts, fire extinguisher, fog lights, badge bar, Amco wind wings, MotoLita steering wheel, and a Plastics Dynamic hard top.
