Please see second picture for carfax! We are selling our 2002 Mercury Sable. We are the second owners, bought in 2005. We have always dealer maintained the car very well and it is in excellent condition inside and out. It currently has 62k miles on it and has always been used as a second vehicle for us. The car is a light gray outside, and tan inside. It is a 6 cylinder, and has leather, sunroof, power seats, 6cd changer, mach sound, keyless entry, etc. The car was mostly dealer maintained and needs nothing mechanically. I am including four brand new tires on the car that have yet to be put on (they were bought for the winter, but never put on). It has a clean title (no liens or anything), never in any type of accident, and always babied by us. Along with the car we have all original owners manuals/books, 2 keys, etc. .This car is ready to go anywhere! PLEASE SEE SECOND PICTURE FOR CARFAX! EXTERIOR: The outside of the car is in great condition. There's really no dents/scratches anywhere- only a couple of dime-sized nicks here and there (pictured), but that's about it. INTERIOR: The interior of the car is in great condition as well. The leather seats all look very nice and all
power/electronic options work as they should. The car was never smoked in. MECHANICALLY Let me first start out by saying that I wouldn't hesitate to drive
this car tomorrow from New York to Florida and then back. Given the mileage and
condition, you can be assured it is in
excellent shape mechanically. The car has always been
looked upon and does not currently need anything. Maintenance has
always been kept on it, and it's ready to go anywhere. As
a final note, all I can say is that this car is in excellent condition all
around. If you're looking for a very well-maintained Mercury sable that was babied, this is it. Please know the car is being sold

Curtain officially comes down on Mercury as dealers remove signage
Mon, 03 Jan 2011The process of shutting down the Mercury is complete. Ford officially made the decision to close its mid-level brand in June of 2010. In the months that followed, Ford offered its dealers money to stop selling the cars, with production shutting down in September. The last Mercury, a Mariner, rolled off the assembly line in the beginning of October and former spokesperson Jill Wagner said her good-byes to both the car and her job. Now the last piece of the brand has come down as dealers are removing any and all Mercury signage from their lots.

More than 800,000 Fords recalled for faulty Takata airbags
Thu, Jan 12 2017The Basics: Ford is recalling about 816,000 Ford, Lincoln, and Mercury vehicles built in the US for faulty passenger-side Takata airbags. The affected vehicles were all built in North America, with 654,695 recalled vehicles in the US and 161,174 vehicles in Canada. A wide variety of cars, trucks, and SUVs are affected. This is a planned expansion of an earlier recall. 2005-09 and 2012 Ford Mustang 2005-06 Ford GT 2006-09 and 2012 Ford Fusion 2007-09 Ford Ranger 2007-09 Ford Edge 2006-09 and 2012 Lincoln Zephyr and Lincoln MKZ 2007-09 Lincoln MKX 2006-09 Mercury Milan The Problem: Like every other Takata recall, the problem rests with faulty airbags that can potentially expel shrapnel, injuring or killing vehicle occupants. Millions of vehicles from dozens of automakers are affected, so don't think that Ford is alone on this one. Injuries/Deaths: Ford stated in a press release that there have been no injuries or death linked to the vehicles in this recall. All in all, 11 deaths and 180 injuries across a variety of automakers have been linked to these Takata airbags. The fix: Ford will contact owners soon, and the affected vehicles will have their airbags replaced by a dealer at no additional charge. If you own one: Wait for contact from Ford, then head to the dealer to get a replacement. If you're wondering if your vehicle is affected, go to this Ford website and enter their Vehicle Identification Number (VIN). The recall reference number is 17S01. Has the Mercury Marauder gotten better with age?
Fri, Oct 23 2015In the early 2000s Mercury desperately wanted to develop some edge for its brand – seemingly stuck between a quasi-premium, quasi-performance space in the Ford Universe. The Marauder is perhaps the most famous of the vehicles that resulted from those efforts, and is rapidly approaching Modern Classic status, today. Effectively a murdered out Grand Marquis with some updated trim pieces – what are company parts bins for, if not raiding? – the Marauder looked convincingly like a bad guy car. The 4.6-liter V8 under its hood that had been breathed on by engineers for a little more power, kicking out 302 horsepower and 318 pound-feet of torque from the factory. Not exactly Ferrari-baiting numbers, but it'd give your local cop's car a run for its money. Being a wild child of the last decade, of course our friends at MotorWeek had it on the program. What better way to test your mean-mugging muscle sedan than with John Davis' tanned and steady hands?
