2003 Mercury Marauder Black exterior in good shape no rust or dents about an 8/10,it is 11 years old. The grill has some pieces missing (look at the pic) Interior is in excellent condition, fully loaded and everything works. The car has a 300 HP 4.6 liter V-8 and it runs and drives perfect. The transmission shifts perfect. Very powerful and reliable car. NEEDS the timing chain tensioner on the left side makes a noise at idle. My mechanic said its about a 800 dollar repair. The car still runs awesome and you can drive it anywhere it just makes that noise. The car also has 208,000 miles on it but you would never know it because it runs and drives like it has 50,000. Very rare and collectible. It has one owner since new and was very well taking care of. All original and never beat on. Please feel free to bring your mechanic and check it out. Feds open investigation into Chevy Express, Ford Freestar rust issues
Wed, 28 Dec 2011'Tis the season... for road salt. And with that, comes rust. And what does rust bring? Well, for Ford and General Motors, a National Highway Traffic Safety Administration investigation. According to The Detroit News, NHTSA is looking into potential recalls issues with Chevrolet Express vans and Ford Freestar minivans.
The feds have received five complaints that rust has caused leaking fuel filler pipes on 2003 Express vans. Separately, seven complaints have been filed over excessive rust in the rear wheel wells of 2004 Ford Freestar and Mercury Monterey minivans. The Freestar and Monterey went out of production in 2007. Neither issue has resulted in any crashes or injuries, according to the report.
Curtain officially comes down on Mercury as dealers remove signage
Mon, 03 Jan 2011The process of shutting down the Mercury is complete. Ford officially made the decision to close its mid-level brand in June of 2010. In the months that followed, Ford offered its dealers money to stop selling the cars, with production shutting down in September. The last Mercury, a Mariner, rolled off the assembly line in the beginning of October and former spokesperson Jill Wagner said her good-byes to both the car and her job. Now the last piece of the brand has come down as dealers are removing any and all Mercury signage from their lots.

Jill Wagner retired as Mercury spokeswoman
Wed, 17 Nov 2010Jill Wagner has officially given up her crown as the queen of Mercury. With the Ford middle child on its way to the scrap heap, Wagner no longer has any automotive hardware to promote. Given her varied talents, we wouldn't be surprised to see her pick up where she left off with another automaker.
And here you thought you'd never be upset about Mercury's passing.
