1964 Comet Caliente 2DR hardtop. Clear Washington State title. I have had this car for about 12 years in my garage. Started to restore but lost interest. Over $6000 invested in this car. Car has a mustang II front end with rack and pinion power steering and disc brakes. New master cylinder and new brake lines. It has a 1985 351W with low miles and a 1967 C-4 trans. Rear axle has been overhauled and has all new brake shoes,springs and drums. New 2inch drop rear leaf springs and new shocks. New windshield, as well as all glass. All new window rubber still in the bags. All new interior, seats,dash,carpet, Etc. All this car needs is someone to take the time to finish the build. this car is complete. Dash has been painted (black) and interment cluster has been overhauled.no rust cancer in this car. New 15" tires on steel rims not seen in picture are the hood and trunk lid, but I have them. Wont take much to finish. Don't ask to separate any parts. Car goes as a whole. Serious inquires only Local pickup only. Feds open investigation into Chevy Express, Ford Freestar rust issues
Wed, 28 Dec 2011'Tis the season... for road salt. And with that, comes rust. And what does rust bring? Well, for Ford and General Motors, a National Highway Traffic Safety Administration investigation. According to The Detroit News, NHTSA is looking into potential recalls issues with Chevrolet Express vans and Ford Freestar minivans.
The feds have received five complaints that rust has caused leaking fuel filler pipes on 2003 Express vans. Separately, seven complaints have been filed over excessive rust in the rear wheel wells of 2004 Ford Freestar and Mercury Monterey minivans. The Freestar and Monterey went out of production in 2007. Neither issue has resulted in any crashes or injuries, according to the report.

Wed, 29 Jan 2014Here is your chance to own your very own piece of greased lightning. Well, not the Greased Lighting, it's actually the black, flamed 1949 Mercury convertible that races against John Travolta in the classic 1978 movie Grease, and it's for auction on eBay Motors.
While it appeared in the film's exciting drag race in a Los Angeles storm drain, the hot rod was reportedly lost until last year, when the seller found it as a shell. He verified that it was the actual car with original builder, Eddie Paul, and sent the car for a complete restoration.
The auction includes original parts like the exhaust tips used in the movie and bent bumper from when it hit Travolta's car in the scene. The restorer recreated the scorpion stickers on the doors, razor hubcaps and license plate. He also installed a 1949 Mercury 255-cubic-inch (4.2-liter), flathead V8 and three-speed manual transmission with overdrive.

Wed, 17 Nov 2010Jill Wagner has officially given up her crown as the queen of Mercury. With the Ford middle child on its way to the scrap heap, Wagner no longer has any automotive hardware to promote. Given her varied talents, we wouldn't be surprised to see her pick up where she left off with another automaker.
And here you thought you'd never be upset about Mercury's passing.
