5 DAY NO RESERVE AUCTION - THE HIGHEST BIDDER GETS THE CAR!!!

Stunning all original 1987 Mercedes Benz.
The car runs and drives like new.
Always garages and well taken care of.
Under 100k original miles.
Everything works but the A/C needs to be recharged.

Please look at all the photos and read the entire ad to get an idea in what wonderful condition this SL is. Thanks for your time.

Let's go around the car:
All original paint - there is no evidence of any paintwork that was done in the past. The paint looks stunning for its age. The car shines like new. There are very minor scratches and nicks. Also there is absolutely no signs that this car was ever in any kind of accidents. Super straight body and all gaps line up perfectly. The hardtop looks great. The soft top appears to be the original factory top and has two rips - see photos. The chrome is overall in very good condition - no blistering, pitting or anything else. Both tops open and close as they should be. The exterior just looks beautiful.

Let's take a look inside:
The interior is all original and it is just beautiful. There are no rips, stains or anything wrong. The seats have some great patina - not cracked. The dashboard has one tiny crack but it is not completely cracked like almost all other 560SL's - see photos. The carpet is clean without any rips or stains. The wood looks great - no fading or cracks here either. I pulled up the floor mats and there is no rust - not even surface rust. Everything works. Just clean, clean, clean....

Let's open her up:
The engine compartment looks very clean. There are no signs of any leaks. Of course you will find the 040 on the trim tag - original a black car. The trunk carpet has one stain - see photos. The spare tire looks like it is the original tire - made in Germany. No rust or any signs of any accident damage here too. I do have the original tools and car jack.

Let's get dirty and take a look underneath:
The undercarriage just looks great. No signs of any rust, welding or anything else. No oil leaks underneath the car. I guess the photos speak for them self. Enjoy some clean undercarriage photos.

Miscellaneous:
I do have the maintenance book and the car fax that proves the mileage. The previous owner had the car for the last 16 years and was the third owner. I have two keys for the car. What you see in the photos comes with the car.

Weekly Recap: Jaguar takes a leap with price cut, new strategy

Sat, Sep 5 2015

Jaguar was one of the famous automotive props and plotlines in the now-iconic drama Mad Men. There's a scene where the show's protagonist, Don Draper, deftly undercuts an influential Jaguar dealer by indicating that get-me-in-the-door local radio spots would be an effective way to sell cars like the slinky E-Type. The British executives think this is folly – Draper knows they will – and his advertising strategy wins out over the dealer's approach to move the metal. Jaguar's not doing that, but half a century later in the real world the company is launching plans to make its cars more attainable to new and younger customers like Millenials. These aren't coupons, but this is a leap for Jaguar, which has long banked on sexy styling and its rich motorsports history to overshadow its past mechanical flaws. Put simply, Jaguar is addressing the reasons why people, especially the younger set, don't buy its cars. The 2017 XE will start at $35,895 when it launches next spring – which makes it an attractive buy for a successful, relatively young person. When it's time to move up, the redesigned XF will be more attainable, coming in at $52,895, which is $5,275 less than the 2015 model. The flagship XJ sedan and the enthusiast-oriented F-Type sports car will also get thousands of dollars worth of added standard features, and Jag is actively pitching them as a better value than their competitors. "The Jaguar brand is on the eve of a major transformation that will see it dramatically increase its presence in the United States luxury marketplace with an expanded lineup, pricing focused on the core of the luxury market, and an all-new ownership package with best-in-class coverage," Joe Eberhardt, CEO of Jaguar Land Rover North America, said in a statement. The brand's quality and reliability dings have also lurked in the back of buyers' minds for decades, though that's an outdated notion. Jaguar placed third in J.D. Power's Initial Quality Study in June and was the top-ranked luxury brand in J.D. Power's Customer Service Index in March. Not content, the company is rolling out an enhanced program called Jaguar EliteCare that launches on 2016 models. It offers a five-year, 60,000-mile limited warranty, the longest among its competitors, with free scheduled maintenance during that period. The plan also covers roadside assistance and connectivity features.

Mercedes caught testing stretched E-Class Maybach

Fri, Aug 21 2015

The Mercedes-Maybach S600 won't be the only vehicle to wear the hyphenated name of two of the world's automotive luxury greats. That hulking S-Class will soon be joined by an E-Class variant, which should offer the same touch of subtle luxury as its big brother. At least, that's what we're guessing based on the latest round of spy photos, showing a stretched E-Class with some very telling camouflage. Pay attention, as our spies did, to the rear doors and C-pillar. Like the Maybach S600, the E-Class model features a larger quarter window, although unlike the S, the doors here look to be a bit larger than your usual E550 or E250. Also take note of the heavy tint on those rear windows. It's likely there to obscure whatever sumptuous hides and warm woods Maybach has fitted to the typically business-class interior. While the interior materials are likely to see sweeping changes, expect Mercedes to treat the exterior with a much gentler touch. There'll probably be some unique wheels and C-pillar-mounted Maybach badges, like what we've already seen on the S600. Check out the full round of spy photos up top, and stay tuned for more on the latest Mercedes-Maybach. Related Video:

Mercedes CLA45 AMG Racing is ready for a spot on the grid

Tue, 10 Sep 2013

Mercedes-Benz trotted out its CLA45 AMG-based racer at the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show. We first showed you the sedan in the deluge of news and reveals that precedes most good auto shows, and were blown away by the car, formally known as the CLA45 AMG Racing Series.
We were strolling by the Mercedes stand, and figured we'd pop in and take a look at the new racer and its carbon-fiber body panels, gutted interior, and race-sourced aero parts. It's a looker, both as a road car and a track weapon. It's not clear what series the CLA45 AMG will qualify for, although it does seem like a shoe-in for the World Touring Car Championship. Let us know what you think of the CLA racer down in the comments. In the meantime, we've got a full gallery of live images up top, along with the stock images that were posted last week on the Mercedes-Benz Facebook page.
