This is a beautiful car with an interesting history. The original owner abandoned the car at an automotive center several years ago. The mechanic/owner received the title through a mechanic's lean process. After securing the title, he began restoring it (OEM): new paint, rag-top, tires, AC hose, & hood-liner. We purchased the car in August 2012 and had it inspected by the local Mercedes-Benz dealer and completed two of the three recommended procedures: AC Blower Motor & Cruise Control Amp. The other recommendation was to replace the sunvisors (which it doesn't need). In addition, we had a mechanic replace the master cylinder, hoses, rotors, and calipers in the brake system. It was last serviced April 2013.

The car is currently kept in a home garage. Included with the purchase is the stand and cover for the hard-top and a top-quality, breathable car cover. The car is currently insured through Hagerty's for $20,000. We purchased this car to drive occasionally on the weekends and as a minor investment. Unfortunately, due to an unexpected cost associated with our dog, we find the need to sell.

Mercedes warms up the SLC

The Mercedes-Benz SLC moniker was once thought to be revived for the vehicle that became the Mercedes-AMG GT, but the German luxury brand is now rumored to use the name for its upcoming refresh for the SLK. Our spies recently snapped some shots of the updated hardtop convertible testing while not wearing much camouflage. These photos suggest not to expect any significant changes in styling for the refreshed SLK. The lower portion of the front bumper has a single center opening, and the grille gets the latest iteration of Mercedes' single-bar design. The camouflage offers more concealment at the rear, but there's clearly something to hide. The exhausts are better incorporated in the shape, as well. Mercedes is also expected to update the SLK's powertrains with the refresh into the SLC. There could be an AMG Sport version to slot between the regular model and full-bore AMG. Like the C450 AMG Sport, this one might use the brand's 3.0-liter, twin-turbo V6 with 362 horsepower. Related Video:

In case you forgot, the Dubai Police supercar fleet is the coolest

Ever wonder why the Dubai Police have a fleet of vehicles worth millions and millions and millions of dollars? Why it has a Bugatti Veyron and a Bentley Continental and a Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG with sirens and light bars? Well, here's the reason. This video shows the fleet on display on the Emirate's roads and highways, while also reaching out to the people the police are meant to protect. It's an impressive display of machinery, to be sure. Alongside the Bentley, Bugatti and Mercedes, we spy a Ferrari FF, a Brabus G-Wagen, a BMW M6, a Nissan GT-R, an Audi R8 and a McLaren MP4-12C (although the latest Dubai Police car, the Lexus RC F, is absent). The video even has a very cinematic look and feel to it, which works well with the night scenes and the blues-and-twos of the exotics cruisers.
