You are bidding on a 1995 Mercedes G320, which was imported and federalized by Europa International, Inc., the leading federalizer of G Wagens. eBay does not recognize the VIN#, but the G is a 1995 G320 and the VIN# is WDB46323117105425. This G has all of the class and prestige of the later model G's, but with the reliability, adventure, and drivability found in the classic W460 G Wagens dating all the way back to 1979. Unlike the older G's, this G strikes a wonderful balance between highway-driving practicality, reliability, and off-road and poor weather capability. Considering its nascent vintage, you will be hard pressed to find another G in such condition with comprehensive reliability and maintenance history. This is a truck worth owning to drive daily, and to adventure in on the weekend.
  • Opal Black (deep dark blue)/Black Leather Interior
  • Jump Seats with seat belts (total seating for 9)
  • Upgraded Alpine Stereo with iPod/iPhone hookup (including iPhone 5, or any other device with USB), hidden amp, and updated speakers the retain original factory look and fitment
  • Larger BFG All Terrain tires (33") including full-size spare and custom tire cover
  • Europa Side Steps for easy in and out
  • Titled and registered in the state of Maryland
  • Legally Federalized in 1995 by Europa International - 49 State Legal (Not California SMOG Certified, but it is possible)
Below are almost all of the services performed during our tenure of ownership. In total, we've spent a few dollars short of $14,000.00 in the past four years. The G performs exceptionally well everywhere - in town, on the highway (80+MPH stable and quiet), and offroad. Garage stored and driven once a week, detailed monthly. Pre-purchase inspections available at bidder's request, and the names and numbers of our personal G Wagen mechanics are also available. Please message with any questions, as I am happy to speak with serious inquirers. $1000 non-refundable deposit due within 24 hours the end of the auction. Full payment is required before transport or collection, within 7 days. The G is to be sold as is, but because the hope is that your purchase is the start to a great G Wagen ownership, pre-purchase inspections and/or test drives are available and encouraged.

Mercedes C-Class Cabriolet advances to prototype stage

Fri, Apr 10 2015

Following up on last month's sighting of the Mercedes-Benz C-Class Coupe, we've got a pretty sizable update on the C-Class Cabriolet, after a prototype of the new droptop was spotted undergoing testing in Germany. A quick comparison with last year's spy photos shows that Mercedes has made a lot of progress, moving on to full-blown production prototypes with a minimal amount of camouflage. Really, though, we already knew what the C-Class Cab would look like – identical to a C-Class sedan below the beltline, although the tail will likely be a bit more sporting – these spy photos merely confirm that. Expect to see the production C-Class Cabriolet debut at (or more likely shortly before) the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show, where it will appear alongside the next-generation C-Class Coupe. Check out the spy photos up top. Related Video:

McLaren, Red Bull and Ferrari call for unfreezing F1 engines

Mon, Dec 29 2014

Formula One is a hugely expensive sport. Not only do you have enormous salaries and logistical expenses, as you would in any other sport, but each team also spends huge sums developing their own chassis from the ground up – and so too do the participating automakers in developing the engines. One of the ways the series organizers mitigate those costs is by freezing development. So once the new crop of V6 turbo hybrid powertrains were developed, that was it. But now three of the of the sport's leading teams are calling on the FIA to unfreeze engine development. Their reason? Unfair advantage. There's little question that Mercedes did the best job of developing its "power unit" to meet the new regulations that took effect at the beginning of this past season. That's how the Mercedes team won all but three of the grands prix this season and finished with at least one car on the podium at every single race. It's also a big part of how the teams that bought their engines from Mercedes this season managed to consistently outperform the other non-works-supported teams. That clear advantage is why Red Bull, Ferrari and now McLaren are calling for engine development to be unfrozen. Their argument is that, under the current locked-down status quo, their engine suppliers (Renault, Ferrari and Honda, respectively) cannot possibly catch up. So unless the FIA and Formula One Management want the next few seasons to be the kind of absolute blow-outs that this past season was, these leading teams argue, the powers that be are going to have to make some changes. For its part, Mercedes naturally counters that unfreezing engine development would send costs spiraling out of control. But then of course it stands to lose the most by re-opening engine development. If those three teams, however, closely intertwined as they are with the three other engine suppliers participating in next year's championship, manage to solicit enough support from the other customer teams and bring the matter to a vote, Mercedes may very well find itself out-numbered. Elephant with an itch to scratch uses cars for relief

Thu, Jan 15 2015

Sometimes in life you, get an itch in a place that you need some help to scratch it. That feeling apparently goes for elephants as well as humans. A pachyderm at the Khao Yai National Park in Thailand recently had some serious comfort in its rump. Unfortunately, the giant animal chose several passing vehicles to alleviate the problem. Things start out rather cute with the elephant rubbing its enormous behind on a Mercedes-Benz. However, another vehicle apparently doesn't provide the same level of relief. The animal seems to grow annoyed and starts taking the sedan apart with at least one person inside. The experience must have been mammothly terrifying. According to BBC News, no one was injured, and the odd behavior is being blamed on a result of the elephant's mating season. Male elephants, as well as other male pachyderms, go through a period called the musth, when testosterone levels rise to several times greater than normal in preparation for the mating season. It makes the elephant aggressive, irritable and yes, itchy.
