| Our babied Mercedes is up for sale. We have owned this car since April 2009, and it has been nothing but a joy. All maintenance is up to date, and the car is very good shape for the age. In the last one year the following has been done. All four breaks replaced; 2. stabilizers replaced; 3. Upper and lower control arm bushings replaced; 4. sparkplugs and wires replaced; 5. AC serviced and recharged; 6. Mobil 1 Fully synthetic replaced every 7K miles, 7. K&N cabin filter and air filter replaced.Car drives straight without issues, gas mileage in town 25-26 and highway 30-32 mpg. We bought a minivan for our growing children given the C-class was too small to accommodate 3 car seats in the back. One of the wheels is a mix and match because the rim was damaged at a local shop when they tried to fix a hairline crack. Full spare, and original manual included.Car has never been wrecked or flooded. The title is clean and clear, ready to go. Exterior of the car has a few scratches from parking in the city otherwise its in very good shape, paint is glossy and well preserved. Interior of the car is near perfect shape, no rips, no tears, no funny smells, never smoked in, never had pets.Open to reasonable offers. I have never before sold a car on ebay so please let me know if you have any questions, not sure if I am missing any details about the car. |

Next Mercedes-AMG E63 to produce around 600 hp
Thu, Aug 13 2015"Sources" have told Autocar that the coming Mercedes-AMG E63 will get "something in the range of" 600 horsepower from a "next step" development of the 4.0-liter, twin-turbo V8 currently in the C63 sedan. Since the standard E-Class isn't due for introduction until the 2016 Detroit Motor show, we're probably a year away from finding out if "something in the range of" actually means a square 600 hp when the car the AMG E63 is revealed. Right now the E63 S is powered by a 5.5-liter twin-turbo V8 it shares that engine with the CLS63, S63, SL63, and G63, and all but the G63 get 577 hp from that engine. The 4.0-liter V8 in the C63 S is rated at 503 hp in the S model, the same as the dry-sump version of that engine that gets 503 hp in the AMG GT. Point being the jump to 600 hp isn't outrageous, and would keep up with the numbers rumored for the next BMW M5. New turbos will likely be responsible for much of that power, with AMG's powertrain chief having told Road & Track that the present turbos are doing all the work they were designed for. Depending on where the much lighter AMG GT3 road car comes in, the next AMG E63 should be the most powerful V8 model in the range. There'll be plenty of other doodads besides, like a new nine-speed automatic, 84-LED adaptive headlights, remote controlled parking, smartphone-activated NFC-based unlock and vehicle start, Vehicle-to-X communication, adaptive cruise control that recognizes speed limit signs, and a massive advance in the suite of Mercedes Intelligent Driving features. Paul di Resta returns to DTM with Mercedes
Tue, 21 Jan 2014Some drivers manage to make the transition from one form of motor racing into another, and some run into trouble. Take Paul di Resta, for example. The promising young Scottish driver dominated Formula 3 racing in Europe in 2006, then moved over to Germany's hugely competitive DTM touring car series where he finished second in 2008, third in 2009 and first in 2010. But things didn't go as smoothly for Paul - cousin to retired Indy champion Dario Franchitti - when he moved in to Formula One with the Force India team.
In three years on the grid, he failed to score a single podium finish. Little surprise, then, that Force India opted not to renew his contract for this season. Left without a ride, di Resta is now going back to DTM with longtime supporter Mercedes-Benz, testing the new C-Class touring car today in Portugal. It's good news for Mercedes, which is celebrating 120 years in motor racing this season and, with 2005 champion Gary Paffett also on board, can now count two former champions on its DTM roster.
We wouldn't count Paul out of F1 for good, though. When he won the DTM title four years ago, he was also moonlighting as Force India's test driver, and we wouldn't be surprised to see him pull similar double-duty with the Mercedes F1 team (or another Benz-powered outfit) this year before spring-boarding back into grand prix racing in the future. At 27 years old, he may not have been the youngest driver on the grid this year, but he's still got a good few years ahead of him.
