I am offering for bid my 2000 Mercedes Benz CLK 320...This is a fun car...Cosmetic defects: the drivers side lift latch to backseat has either came off the internal lift or needs to be replaced. A seam on the drivers seat has come loose was seamed back closed but not professionally, and the pop up drink holder has been removed because it was too close to the shifting unit and did not want to take the chance of a drink spilling into a crucial component of the car...but I do have it in case a buyer would like to put back in...Oil gets changed on schedule with synthetic oil...Transmission has been serviced...This is my current driver...runs great...tires are 75%...Bose system...keyless entry...Has a V-6 automatic...Top functions perfectly and in great shape...also has wind screen...6 cd changer...leather interior...triple black...mostly interstate miles...all tire changing gear and spare tire...all manuals... Just an awesome sporty car with only expected wear and tear for age...garage kept...battery about a year old...would rate 9.0... just not practical with my grandchildren...lol...Please feel free to ask any questions you may have. Very reasonable reserve...priced to sell...Available for inspection at anytime...Thank you for your consideration. Located in NC

Daimler ponders partnerships with Apple, Google
Mon, Aug 24 2015Daimler Chairman Dieter Zetsche is willing to consider joint ventures with tech giants like Apple and Google. Don't expect the automaker's vehicles to become just another platform for their software, though. In an interview with a German magazine, the chairman admits "different types" of partnerships could be possible, according to Reuters. As vehicles become increasingly connected, greater expertise is necessary in creating their software. The changing market is an opportunity for tech companies to enter the auto industry. "Google and Apple want to provide system software for cars and bring this entire ecosystem around Apple and Google into the vehicle," Zetsche said, according to Reuters. "That can be interesting for both sides." Although, he was clear no deals had happened, yet. For automakers, the danger of this cooperation is for a vehicle to be just a physical device that runs the software. "We don't want to become contractors who have no direct content with customers any more and supply hardware to third parties," he said in the interview. Zetsche has been working out how to create this balance for a while. Earlier this year, he said that some partnerships with Silicon Valley firms could be helpful. However, data privacy remains a major concern, especially in the wake of multiple vehicle hacks in recent months. In the chairman's opinion, a Mercedes-Benz shouldn't just protect its occupants physically but also their personal information. Related Video:
2017 Mercedes E-Class spied nearly camo-free [w/video]
Fri, Nov 13 2015With these spy shots of the 2017 Mercedes-Benz E-Class we can see the circle is nearly complete: once it arrives, Mercedes will sell the same car in three different lengths. To quote our spy photographers, "The new E-Class is a smaller S-Class. Of if you rather like it the other way around, a bigger C-Class." The E-Class makes its debut at the 2016 North American International Auto Show in Detroit in a couple of months. Being the latest reveal it will also bringing a thick folio of Daimler's technology with it, such as Vehicle-to-X communication, remote control parking via a smartphone app, adaptive cruise control that sets the speed based on road signs, an air bladder that pushes front-seat occupants towards the center of the car before a side impact, an audio system that triggers your eardrum's reflexes to prevent hearing damage in a crash, and NFC-based unlock and vehicle start using your smartphone. For starters. Good luck picking it out from its stablemates, though. The video below captures the car in motion. This content is hosted by a third party. Mercedes C-Class Coupe to debut in Frankfurt
Wed, Mar 11 2015Mercedes-Benz is set to launch its new C-Class Coupe at the Frankfurt Motor Show this fall, according to Autocar. In addition to the standard C Coupe, the German automaker will also reportedly show a Mercedes-AMG C63 version, which AMG boss Tobias Moers says will be a "breakthrough" for the brand. Speaking to Autocar, Mercedes design chief Gorden Wagener promises the new C-Class Coupe will be "even better to drive than it looks," and says that the two-door will be sleeker and even more beautiful than the recently launched S-Class Coupe. Talk about a tall order. Specific design tweaks for the C Coupe will include revised front- and rear-end styling, while keeping the C's long hood and short rear deck to emphasize its rear-wheel-drive architecture. What's more, this revised design will need to be flexible, as Mercedes is planning a convertible version of its C-Class. Expect the interior design to carry over largely unchanged. The same goes for powertrains, including the excellent, twin-turbocharged, 4.0-liter V8 that will slot into the range-topping Mercedes-AMG C63 Coupe. We'll know more when the sleeker, two-door C-Class is unveiled in September.
