2003 - Mercedes-benz Cl-class on 2040-cars
Cordele, Georgia, United States
2003 Mercedes-Benz CL600. This car is in amazing condition, it runs great and all the options function correctly. The paint is very good with the exception of a few minor faults that are normal for its age but it looks great overall. Car has a V12 twin turbo power plant rated at 490HP. I have owned this car since 2010 and I bought it with 67000 miles on it. It has been an excellent car. I only driver it on weekend and special occasions. It is Alabaster white with tan interior. I have added 20" chrome wheels from MANDRUS which are specially built Mercedes wheels with Hankook V12 tires that are in very good condition. It also has a front lip spoiler and rear tail. I added sport mufflers to give it a light yet deeper tone when opening the throttle. It is not intrusive at all but offers a WHOOSH sound that adds to the character of your drive. I have had recent service of the ABC suspension system, new water pump and battery as well as other items since I have owned it and all service records. The car rides smoothly as it should and does not disappoint with power and speed. It even comes with the Mercedes-Benz cell phone. The car looks great and is ready to go as all maintenance has been performed. I can reached by phone or text @ 770-866-9428 A/C ice cold, All scheduled maintenance, All records, Always garaged, Custom wheels, Factory GPS system, Fully loaded with all the goodies, Looks & drives great, Must see, Never seen snow, New tires, No accidents, Non-smoker, Seats like new, Title in hand, Very clean interior,

2014 Mercedes-Benz B-Class ED has 87-mile range, 84 MPGe
Fri, Jul 11 2014Well, that extra weight had to be felt somewhere. With Mercedes-Benz getting ready to start US sales of its B-Class Electric drive this summer, the big question was how well its range would stack up against other electric vehicles sold in the States. Turns out, the Benz is a bit of a juice hog. Let's say up front that the 87-mile single-charge range of the Mercedes-Benz actually stacks up nicely against its competition, since that distance puts the new model right in line with the Nissan Leaf and BMW i3 (we'll ignore the Tesla Model S for a second, here). You can find the numbers at the US Department of Energy's FuelEconomy website. As far as miles per gallon equivalent ratings, though, the Benz's steel frame makes it come up short, as it's about 1,300 pounds heavier than the carbon-fiber-body i3 and about 600 pounds heavier than the Leaf. The B-Class EV has a bigger battery than the i3 or the Leaf (36 kWh compared to 22 kWh for the i3 and 24 kWh for the Leaf) and that's one reason the car gets an 84 MPGe rating, which is about 26 percent less than the Leaf's and 32 percent less than the i3's. But at least the local utility companies will be happy. Mercedes-Benz priced the 177-horsepower B-Class ED in April at $41,450, or $100 more than the i3. Petrolicious relives history with Stirling Moss and his Mercedes SLR
Wed, May 13 2015We take it as a given that lap records will keep getting beaten. That's just the way things work: the development of racing cars proceeds at breakneck speeds, dwindling lap times down over the ages. Not at the Mille Miglia, though. The legendary Sir Stirling Moss won the famous Italian race together with journalist Denis Jenkinson in 1955, recording an almost unfathomable average speed of nearly 98 miles per hour in the Mercedes 300 SLR bearing the number 722 – the inspiration behind the extreme SLR McLaren Stirling Moss edition speedster that debuted seven years ago. Nobody (not even Moss himself) managed to beat that time in the subsequent two years before the race was shut down for good. It was only revived decades later as an historic rally that's more about consistency and, by its nature, doesn't put that record in contention. This year's event is coming up soon, so the cinematographical artisans at Petrolicious caught up with Moss and that legendary SLR – perfectly preserved as it has been by Mercedes – for a drive down memory lane.
