2002 Mercedes Cl55AMG

We are selling our 2002 CL55 AMG ,... It has 150k miles I will try to describe as best as possible; This car is a very reliable and great-looking car.

My wife has used his vehicle for the last four years as her daily driver.. With this in mind the car definitely needs some TLC to get it back to where it should be.

The bad; It has the front lower bumper has come loose due to parking too close to the curb/ Wheels have some curb rash again from parking too close to the curb/ Right front fender has a crack in it due to a branch falling onto it/ Right rear quarter panel has small tear in it above rear wheel / Interior of car needs some TLC and as well left front door missing speaker grilles/Rear center storage compartment has tears in leather / Right passenger door power comes and goes sporadically I was told that the relay is going bad By my mechanic/ABS light has recently started to come on and off sporadically?/ And the upholstery needs cleaning... Basically this vehicle is in need of some TLC!!

We bought a minivan for the wife and this is the reason why we are selling this vehicle

Now The Good; The car runs extremely strong/ Mechanically we have had no issues with it whatsoever/ Mechanically I believe this vehicle is very very sound/ This car has a salvage title due to vandalism I have the pictures to show you / this was never involved in an accident Of any sort so there are zero issues with engine suspension or anything of that nature We are asking $7500 or best offer price is negotiable I have tried to describe the car as much as possible as I believe it is better to know exactly what you're getting upfront!..

2014 Mercedes SL and SLK add small expansion to Takata airbag recall

Fri, 11 Jul 2014

Mercedes-Benz is the latest automaker to be affected by Takata's massive airbag recall. The company has announced a voluntary recall campaign on a small number of model-year 2014 SLK- and SL-Class roadsters.
In Mercedes' case, 300 vehicles are affected, 200 of which are in the hands of customers. According to spokesperson Donna Boland, the affected roadsters were built between March and April of this year.
The issue, which is apparently the fault of one of Takata's subcontractors, rests with some improperly installed fasteners, which could keep the airbag from performing the way it's supposed to. According to Boland, Mercedes isn't sure what, if any, injuries the recalled airbags could cause, but simply claims there's an increased risk in these particular vehicles. There's been no reported instances of the faulty airbags deploying on a customer and the original issue was found in a production test.

2016 Mercedes-Benz GLC250 First Drive [w/video]

Tue, Jul 21 2015

There's nothing wrong with the Mercedes-Benz GLK other than old age, having first sold here in 2009. But with creased, off-road themed styling, a naturally aspirated V6, and a smallish interior, it's out of step with the company's growing line of sport utility vehicles. Even its name is a harsh-sounding outlier. Enter the 2016 GLC. Mercedes calls this model the second generation of the GLK, but it's closer to a total reboot. The new look follows the smooth design of contemporary Benzes. The spotlight engine is now a spunky turbocharged four cylinder, and yes, the GLC is bigger inside and out. As for the name change, that's part of the latest badge realignment, and the "C" indicates the GLC's position as the crossover counterpart to the C-Class sedan. Now firmly integrated into the Mercedes SUV family, the GLC takes a seat at the table between the entry-level GLA and the larger GLE. The GLC's fresh appearance has all of the tenets of modern Mercedes design. We've come to the Alsace region of France to sample this familiar yet evolved utility vehicle. Driving along route A35, we're immediately struck by the turbo four-cylinder's prowess. It's strong from launches when we mash the gas, returns a subtle but pleasing exhaust note, and it's more than capable of picking off slower moving traffic as we dash through the French countryside. We're driving the European-spec GLC250 model, which has the same 2.0-liter engine Americans will get in the GLC300, though the Euro model has 30 fewer horsepower. The US version will be rated at 241 hp and 273 pound feet of torque, the same output as the C300 sedan. The turbo has big shoes to fill, as it gives up 61 hp to the 302-hp V6 used in the GLK. Mercedes is banking consumers won't miss this raw power, as the GLC's inline-four offers the same amount of torque as the GLK's V6, but much sooner in the rev band. Even in its detuned European state, the I4 demonstrates the kind of urgency that Americans prefer for their grocery-getting people haulers. It's paired with a nine-speed automatic transmission, upgraded from the GLK's seven-speed. There are paddle shifters, though most Americans won't have reason to use them. Sometimes we grab them and lay on the throttle just for fun, and the GLC responds with bursts of speed. Even in its detuned European state, the I4 demonstrates the kind of urgency that Americans prefer for their grocery-getting people haulers.
