PLEASE READ THIS LISTING CAREFULLY AND CALL ME WITH ANY QUESTIONS (954)288-6772...

I have been on e-bay for many years and take pride in dealing with people with honesty and integrity. 100% positive feedback. Don't buy this car and then claim you didn't understand what you were getting into and leave me negative feedback. The car has reliability issues, otherwise I wouldn't be selling it at all and I certainly wouldn't be listing it with no reserve. Again, call me with any questions (954)288-6772

I needed something to get to work every day and I could not count on this car. There is some sort of fuel issue that makes the car hard to start on the first turn of the ignition, but it does fire on the second try. It also acts like it is running out of gas around half a tank. The second major problem is excessive battery drain. The car will start if driven every day, but something is draining the battery.

I do not know the history of the car, so I can't be of any help with past service records for clues to the problem. I helped a friend buy the car wholesale a few months ago, but ultimately kept this for myself and sold him my personal car. As I stated, this car could not reliably get me to work, so I am selling it. I work 12 hours a day during the week and unfortunately do not have time to deal with this. My loss is your gain.

This is a real AMG Mercedes with an IHI supercharged V6 putting out 350 horsepower. 0-60 in less than 5 seconds and about 13 seconds in the 1/4 mile. This is not some base model C-Class with an AMG badge or "sport package". It was more than $50K new and it's a little rocket luxury sport sedan that gets decent gas mileage. The car is basically stock from what I can tell aside from some xenon lights that look aftermarket.

The A/C is cold, the tires are practically new, the brakes are good, all the windows work, the stereo works, the gauges work, the interior is in good condition, and the exterior looks good from a few feet away. This car is 12 years old and there are imperfections. I listed the major issues above. There are small cosmetic issues as well, such as a sagging headliner, a few small dents on the hood, and fading paint on the front bumper. There are a few spots in the clear-coat that could use a wet sanding as well.

The odometer does not work and shows dashes as you can see in the pictures. E-bay forces you to put a number in, but I bought it this way and do not know the mileage. I brought it to a local European car mechanic and he said this was due to a dash cluster replacement and that his shop would not reset the mileage. He looked at it in the computer and it read 117,418km, or approximately 73k miles. You can have the print out that shows the computer miles and all the historical faults stored in the computers. I'm selling the car as-is, true mileage unknown. You can do what you want with the dash cluster and your mechanic.

I reserve the right to end this auction early as the car is listed locally and in other online forums. If you would like to buy the car 'now', please call me at 954-288-6772 and if we agree on a price I will add a buy-it-now feature to the listing. Otherwise, happy bidding!

New Mercedes E-Class nearly exposed, may be Maybach

Mon, Sep 14 2015

The all-new Mercedes-Benz E-Class is marching closer and closer to production, with a new round of spy photos giving us our best look yet at the S-Class-inspired looks of the German brand's executive luxury car. There really is very little camouflage this time around – what's there looks more like the kind of plastic wrapping you'd see on a freshly imported vehicle at the port. In front, we can see the new E will wear similar LED accents to the S- and C-Class. The E-Class' big and little brothers also inspired the tail of the new model, where we can see slightly disguised, vertically oriented LED taillights. Prominent, enclosed exhausts are very similar to what we saw in our spy shots of the Mercedes-Maybach E-Class. Aside from the exhausts, this particular car also wears the same blingy wheels as the range-topping tester we spied last August. The thick-rimmed, multi-spoke design isn't the only giveaway to this car's luxurious intentions, though. Our last Maybach sighting showed a car completely covered in camo, making it difficult to tell just how large the rear doors are relative to the car we're seeing today. Instead of the doors, though, we suggest you look at the windows. Like the August spy photos, this prototype features tinted rear glass, which could perhaps indicate that we're looking at yet another example the second Mercedes-Maybach model. So is this yet another Maybach E-Class? We're leaning towards yes. The size of the back doors – and the rear quarter window, in particular – is close enough to what we saw last month, and the presence of tinted glass, the same exhausts, and the same wheels can't be discounted either.

Mercedes may end Tesla supply agreement for B-Class Electric Drive

Mon, Aug 24 2015

The Mercedes-Benz B Class Electric Drive has only been rolling off the production line for 17 months, each one equipped with a battery pack and drivetrain from Tesla Motors, but already there is talk of big upcoming changes. According to a report from the German publication Auto Motor und Sport, the next-generation version of this model will see an end to the Tesla-supplied tech and a hugely improved range. Currently, the electric sedan gets an EPA-rated 87 miles of range, using 28 kWhs of its 36-kWh battery, though its now-standard "Range Plus" package takes advantage of more of the pack, stretching that driving to 100 miles or so. It may take a year or several – the model just had a refresh – but expect those distance digits to double. The rumored range is said to be 500 km (310.7 miles), but since that would likely be calculated using the European drive cycle, expect something significantly lower stateside; say 220-ish official miles. This would be in keeping with expectations from a number of battery-powered competitors in the 2017-2018 time frame. It is unknown if this supposed next-gen B Class Electric Drive is in any way related to the rumored "Ecoluxe" program. The Tesla/Daimler relationship stretches back to 2009, when the Stuttgart-based outfit made a significant investment in the California automaker, quite possibly saving it from extinction in the process. We have reached out Mercedes-Benz about this report, but as of this writing, have not had a reply. We will update this post when we hear back. 2015 Mercedes-Benz S65 AMG Coupe

Mon, Mar 23 2015

For Mercedes-Benz to truly demonstrate the capabilities and sensations of the S65 AMG Coupe, it needs to commission the building of a highway halfway to the moon. That's right, a ribbon of Autobahn roughly 120,000 miles long, with 50,000 miles of twisties and sweepers. Let's even add some loop-de-loops though the ionosphere, since, you know, we're going all the way with this. We've been following the headlines about progress on a new lunar lander and the SpaceX Mars Colonial Transporter, but we recently discovered that we've already got both of them in the S65 AMG Coupe. This isn't a car, it's a rocket ship. And it's not perfect, but it is spectacular. Starting with the way it looks. When Mercedes unveiled the concept at the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show, I wasn't impressed. In fact, I told the Mercedes PR person, "It's fine, but the rear end doesn't do anything for me." And today? I'll have the crow, please, with lots of ketchup. When the test car you see here arrived, my loins tumbled and my knees developed a slight tremble. By the following week I was posing thought experiments like, "What's hotter: me in this car, or nothing else ever?" It's big – just eight inches shorter than the S-Class sedan and only an inch narrower. It's an inch longer than the Porsche Panamera and four inches wider, but just 0.3-inches taller than that slinking sport sedan. Its size and segment seem to have freed the designers' pens, and we think it's the best and most unapologetic expression of the brand's current language. We'd normally vote "nay" to a face full of chrome, but the coupe has the width to spread the polished elements around, and the top-to-bottom three-dimensionality indeed earns the adjective "jewel-like." A button on the center console lifts the entire car to protect those jewels when needed. The profile doesn't give up on the rising, sculpted wedge we've known for years – the one we used to love on the SL-Class. And again, the 16.6-foot expanse of sheet metal gives those opposing swage lines an unhurried opportunity to carve the body. The sidelong swell is enhanced by the carbon-fiber rocker panel laid into the concavity along the bottom, as well as those hips over the rear wheels. Speaking of which, the polished, 20-inch forged rollers are spot on. The bluff backside is sculpted just enough to keep it interesting, from the decklid spoiler to the horizontals across the bumper and carbon diffuser. Mostly, though, it seems to say to anyone behind, "Please.
