Mercedes Benz 450 SEL bought in Germany in 1977 by the ambassador (Charles Valdez) to the Vatican from the Philippines appointed by Dictator Ferdanian Marcos. This car was then transported with the ambassador to California and then sent to the Philippines with him. I guess he decided the philippines was not for him so he and the car were sent to Hawaii where he spent a few years only to decide to move again to central Florida. As you can see this car has spent more miles on a boat in a container that on the road but still rides like a Mercedes. I found the car while doing a job for the 2nd owner (the cousin of the ambassador) who is now 80 years old and decided he would part with it so I decided I would list it for him. He drives it about once a month and his last trip in it was a couple of years age when he and 3 buddies went to Georgia to play golf. Car has always worked well. Everything is oroginal. No rust, so clear coat peel you can see in a picture, Trunk seal is leaking as I found out when I washed it, but the car has been inside a garage its whole like so its never been an issue. Its a beautiful example of a powerful sedan. The trunk lid seems to be the worst of the paint where the clear coat is missing other than that the paint is really nice for its age. All the lenses are original and look like new (no sun) All gauges work including clock, car starts right up and tyranny shifts perfectly but then again its only 67K miles on a mercedes benz. Price will start low with no reserve. Car is in Orlando Florida.
Note: Car has exhaust leak, not a bother but in the interest of telling all.

Mercedes-Benz teases SL-Class for LA Auto Show
Wed, Nov 11 2015There's no better place in the world to unveil a styling update for the Mercedes-Benz SL-Class than at the upcoming Los Angeles Auto Show. The luxury droptop's combination of handsome style, big power, and a huge price tag also makes it a perfect fit for stylish, wealthy Southern California. Mercedes is getting us excited to see the rest of the SL's facelift thanks to this shadowy preview. We can spy a redesigned hood in the image above, and it's smoother and simpler than the current design. You can also spot the restyled headlights at each corner that seem thinner than the present units. The updated bumper now features four inlets: one on each side and a double-decker one in the center. Spy shots from earlier this year suggest even more updates for the refreshed SL, like a new rear bumper and redesigned exhaust tips. Keep an eye out for possible improvements to the infotainment system and other interior upgrades. The 2015 LA Auto Show begins in about a week, so we won't have to wait long to see all of Mercedes' tweaks. Related Video:

The 2015 World Car of the Year awards have just been announced, and the charming new C-Class sedan has taken top honors, beating both the new Volkswagen Passat and Ford Mustang. But Car of the Year isn't the only award Mercedes received this morning. Here are the other World Car announcements, where M-B was honored two more times. Mercedes previews GLC crossover coupe concept for Shanghai
Fri, Apr 3 2015Say what you will about slant-backed crossover coupes: if the industry has learned anything from BMW and its X6, it's that they're popular... and profitable. Little wonder, then, that Mercedes followed suit with the release of the GLE Coupe. And now it appears set to follow the lead set by the BMW X4 as well with a smaller GLC Coupe... at least, that is, in concept form. Previewed in this latest teaser rendering is the Concept GLC Coupe, a design study which Mercedes is set to present at the Shanghai Motor Show later this month. The statement that accompanies it (which you can read below) doesn't tell us much, except to say that it is "near-production-standard" – which is to say that it stands a strong chance of reaching showrooms. As it is, the GLC with a conventional roofline is set to take the place of the GLK in Benz's expanding crossover lineup. The emergence of this concept ought to preview that new model's styling, regardless of how steeply its roofline tapers off towards the back. The Shanghai show is, incidentally, the same venue Mercedes originally floated the idea of its smallest crossover with the presentation of the Concept GLA two years ago. And as we all know, that subsequently entered production – in a form closely following that of the concept. So we wouldn't be surprised to see a GLC Coupe emerge in close proximity to its more conventional counterpart (maybe even before), heavily influenced by the show car we'll see later this month.
