I had this car in Florida but have since brought it up here to Connecticut I . I had planed on using it here but, I am now realizing that what I really need is a pick up truck. The car is in GREAT condition. There are some small surfaces scratches on the paint that are as to be expected given that the car is over 22 years old. The car has no door dings. There is a small ding over the passenger side rear wheel well that I have shown among the pictures, It really would not take that much to fix. The interior is in BEAUTIFUL condition throughout. The wooden dash and console is equally as nice. You will find that most 420SELs have wood veneer that is flaking off or peeling away.You will also find that the leather has been well maintained and shows little wear. Everything in this car works. This is the only year where the Mercedes 420SEL came equipped with Anti-Lock Brakes and Traction Control. Everything in this car works. This includes sunroof, air conditioning power locks, power windows, electric seats, and cruise control. This is the last year for the Mercedes large bodies. If you wish for any additional pictures,or have additional questions, please just ask. I prefer to have the car picked up here. Buyer to pay for shipping if required but I will help in shipping from this end. Daimler buying 12% stake in Beijing Auto

Daimler and Beijing Automotive are officially going steady, with the German company set to take a 12-percent stake in the Chinese brand tomorrow. The two are already tied up in a Mercedes engine plant in Beijing, of which BAIC will increase its stake in, from 50 to 51 percent. Daimler will also get two seats on the Chinese company's board. BAIC may also gain the ability to produce cars on Mercedes-Benz platforms, according to Automotive News Europe.
The investment in BAIC comes ahead of that company's initial public offering, according to a report form Bloomberg, which indicates the deal will be inked tomorrow in the Chinese capital. According to the report, if the circumstances are right, BAIC may turn around and invest in the Germany company "soon."
It's not entirely clear just how much the 12-percent cut is costing Daimler, although it seems reasonable to assume that, as it's ahead of the IPO, the parent company of Mercedes is getting a bit of a bargain.
