Great diesel car. Last year for the "old school" Mercedes diesel. Runs and drives great. Have all maintenance for the last 145000 miles. Mostly highway for my job and National Guard commute. Always well maintained. New injectors at 220000 miles. New glow plugs and front struts just installed. 80,000 mile Goodyear tires with over 90% tread left. Synthetics used in rear-end, trans and engine for prolonged life. Always plugged in at night also to ensure quick starts and les wear on engine. I average around 32 mpg. I have got as much as 38 and as low as 27 in town with the A/C going full blast in the summer. All options work well. Cruise control does surge going downhill. This is a common issue and it can be repaired by sending unit it for $50 repair. I just don't use the cruise so never had the need. Also has a newer JVC CD player with built in hands free. I also removed the ashtray and installed an XM radio. I can reinstall the ashtray or leave the XM radio.
Drive seat has a tear but I have had OEM looking seat covers that look better (IMO) than the stock seat. Feel free to ask any questions. Also listed locally. If it sells I will remove the listing here.

Daimler exec hypothetically discusses 3-cylinder engines for small hybrids
Wed, Mar 26 2014Is three the magic number of cylinders for Mercedes-Benz parent Daimler and its efforts to build smaller powertrains for its compact hybrids? Potentially, yes, the German automaker could see the need for three-cylinder mills, Automotive News reports. The company doesn't have any plans for them as of yet, though. Daimler executive Bernhard Heil talked with Automotive News about the challenges of using four-cylinder engines in a front-wheel-drive setup and said that three-cylinder engines could work in transverse-mounted powertrains for hybrid cars. For now, though, the company doesn't actually have any plans to go in that direction, Mercedes-Benz spokesman Christoph Horn said in an e-mail to AutoblogGreen. Horn wrote that Heil "actually said that if ever MB would use a three-cylinder engine than [it would be] in a configuration where space is restricted, such as when using a hybrid power train in a compact car." Of course, the only compact "hybrid" that Mercedes-Benz has is the 2015 C-Class, but that refers to the "hybrid" body is made of 48-percent aluminum, up from the current nine percent, as well as steel. It has nothing to do with the powertrain. Beyond that, there's always the Mercedes-Benz S500 Plug-in Hybrid that the company unveiled at the Frankfurt Motor Show last fall, but that model, which will debut in Europe later this year and arrive stateside next year, has a 3.0-liter turbocharged V6 and an 80-kilowatt electric motor that propels the plug-in from 0 to 62 miles per hour in 5.5 seconds. Not exactly three-cylinder territory, that.
Mercedes S-Class Cabrio caught nearly naked
Thu, Feb 19 2015The new Mercedes-Benz S-Class is a handsome car, and its new two-door variant is positively dashing. Considering that, did you really think Mercedes would shake things up when it finally came time to drop the top on its flagship luxury model? Nope, neither did we. This is the S-Class Cabriolet, and from the beltline down, it's basically the same fixed-roof car we tested back in October – same grille, same headlights, same twin character lines in the profile. This is not a bad thing. We're betting it'll wear very similar taillights to the S-Class Coupe, although it's difficult to tell on the more heavily camo'd example of the luxurious droptop. Differences, meanwhile, are kept to the absolute minimum. The windshield looks more aggressively raked, and the inclusion of a canvas roof has softened the Coupe's svelte profile, but other than that, there aren't many changes at all. Expect the S-Class Sedan and Coupe's engine lineup to inform the powertrain strategy for the Cabriolet, meaning a base S550 with a 4.7-liter, twin-turbocharged V8. It's unclear if AMG variants will be offered, although we wouldn't bet against it. Our spies report that the S-Class Cabrio will saunter into dealers later this year, eager to steal the lunch money of the aging BMW 6 Series Convertible. We're betting on a European auto show debut, so keep an eye open at the upcoming Geneva Motor Show. If not there, Frankfurt seems like a likely destination for the new droptop.
Mercedes previews autonomous Vision Tokyo concept
Mon, Oct 26 2015Mercedes is bringing a new concept car – or concept something at any rate – to the Tokyo Motor Show this year. The upscale German automaker is not telling us much about its latest show car at this point. However, it has released the solitary teaser image above to keep us on our toes for a little while longer. Billed as "a vision for future generations," the Mercedes-Benz Vision Tokyo concept appears to take the form of some sort of futuristic minivan - the kind you'd expect to see in some movie set years from now. Beyond that, we don't know much, but the Silver Star automaker describes the creation as "autonomous, luxurious and progressive" all at once. Expect it, then, to build on the F 015 Luxury in Motion concept presented at the beginning of the year at the Detroit Auto Show, and adopt an equally unusual silhouette, propelling itself (and its blissful occupants) in a self-driving cocoon of high-tech luxury. Don't be surprised to find some sort of alternative propulsion under the hood as well, be it a hybrid, full electric, or hydrogen fuel cell vehicle. The Tokyo show is typically populated mostly by Japanese automakers and their latest wares, and with so many of the country's own manufacturers lining up new debuts, this edition will be no exception. This year's expo, though, also appears to be attracting some foreign attention. In addition to this Mercedes concept, Mini will be showcasing its new convertible model for the first time at the show. Watch this space for more on the Benz concept as well as our full coverage of the show from our team of editors on the ground at the Tokyo Big Sight exposition center.
