This may be one of the rarest cars listed on Ebay. 1993 Mercedes Benz 300CE CV Cabriolet finished in Blackberry Metallic over Parchment leather. To my knowledge, this is the only 1993-1995 E-class cabriolet in this color combination in the US. Only a few thousand of these cars were imported to the US over its 3-year production run from 1993-1995, the fewest in 1993. This car is already a classic and destined to increase in value over time.
Specifics: Blackberry Metallic / Parchment. Astounding condition. New chrome OEM rims with matching Michelin MXV4 tires installed in 2010 with only a few thousand miles on them. No curb rash. Several thousand dollars in receipts in the last year or so from Haus of Mercedes in Santa Ana, CA. The car is mechanically perfect, no leaks. AC is ice cold. Drives as new. Original top and interior are a 9.5/10. Perfect interior wood. Leather never "sprayed." High-end repaint with original Mercedes color of Blackberry Metallic due surface scratches which could not be buffed out performed in 2010 on panel surfaces only, not door jambs, etc. Looks new. Never in an accident. -Factory 6-disc CD changer. -Original canvas top with glass rear window, power antenna, seat belt arms etc., function great. -Leather / wood steering wheel and shifter upgrade. -Brand new Lloyd floor mats in black complement convertible top and dash quite nicely. -Custom car cover. -Including new OEM headlight wiper blades and 2 Mercedes key blanks. This car was previously owned by a collector in Palos Verdes, CA until I purchased. It was driven occasionally by his elderly mother. After she passed, he had the rims and tires replaced and the exterior paint restored due to surface scratches. Always garaged as evident by condition of interior / rubber and plastic parts. I purchased it and the car received glowing reviews from my mechanic. I had several seals and gaskets replaced in addition to performing the 60K service. This car has been garaged in Newport Beach, CA and driven weekly. I live in NYC and my mother wants (is demanding) some more of her garage space back. I am going to kick myself in another few years, but reluctantly am offering this amazing car for sale at much less than I have invested. Inspections are welcome. Cliche, but this car must literally be seen to be believed. |

Consumer Reports declares most and least loved cars [w/video]
Wed, Dec 3 2014Consumer Reports is crunching the numbers from its annual owner-satisfaction survey, and part of that process is finding out how attached drivers are to their cars. CR simply asks readers of models up to three years old if they would buy the same vehicle again in light of their entire ownership experience, and tallies the results. After looking at the responses for about 350,000 vehicles, it turns out that people really love a certain California-built, electrically powered luxury sedan. That's right, this year's the overall winner was the Tesla Model S with a whopping 98 percent of owners saying they would purchase another one (the Model S also won this award last year, with 99 percent satisfaction). The Chevrolet Corvette Stingray came in a close second with 95 percent of drivers hoping to park another one in their garage. A few models weren't quite so favored, though. The Nissan Versa Sedan was the least loved model among its owners; a mere 42 percent said that they would purchase another. The aging Jeep Compass didn't do much better, with just 43 percent of drivers willing to buy the softroader again. On average, about 70 percent of owners say they would buy their car again, and only four cars ranked below 50 percent in CR's findings. Check out the video above to see some of the winners and losers in a few of CR's categories. If you're a subscriber, you can check out the full list on its website. Which car should win 2015 World Green Car of the Year?
Wed, Apr 1 2015There were three finalists for the World Green Car of the Year announced about a month ago at the Geneva Motor Show: the BMW i8, the Mercedes-Benz S 500 Plug-In Hybrid and the Volkswagen Golf GTE. With the New York Auto Show upon us and the winner scheduled to be announced tomorrow, we thought it's high time to ask our readers which one should win. There were seven other vehicles named to the finalists list: the Hyundai x35/Tucson Fuel Cell, the Volvo XC90 T8 Twin Engine, the Audi A3 Sportback E-Tron, the BMW X5 xDrive40e, the Kia Soul EV, the Nissan e-NV200 and the Opel Adam 1.0 Direct Injection Turbo ecoFLEX Start. Would you have named one of these to the top three list instead? POLL 14386429 Green BMW Mercedes-Benz Volkswagen 2015 ny auto show world green car of the year vw golf gte
