Driveline LLC is proud to
present another great car. Sports cars are fast and
fun. Truth be told though, they are usually a purely selfish indulgence. This incomparable rotary-powered sports car
features the ever-unique 1.3-liter RENESIS rotary engine and aggressive
styling. The
vehicle seats four and boasts an engine that's both powerful and
fuel-efficient, with 250 horsepower. Mazda
has had 40 years of experience producing rotaries and is the only manufacturer
in the world that offers a pure rotational internal combustion engine. The RX-8 features a
double-wishbone suspension at all four corners. The upper and lower arms in
both the front and rear are considerably longer, allowing for consistent grip
regardless of changes in roll and camber, and providing a smooth roll center
and top-notch cornering performance. Additionally, the car's rear suspension
springs are positioned lower than usual, giving the car more trunk space than
your typical sports car. The cabin is sporty and
comfortable and its design is as trendy as the exterior. A console runs from
front to back, and that also intrudes on back-seat space. Small, rotary-shaped
items abound, from the seat headrests to the gearshift knob. The center stack
of the instrument panel has a large, silver circle about the size of a CD
surrounding the audio system. Instruments are nicely designed. The seats are
mounted low, but the view out is still really good. The gearshift lever sits
high on the center console where it is easy to reach. This particular Mazda RX-8 is in great shape. Just look at the pictures
and judge for yourself. The vehicle is mechanically sound and the interior
looks nice. The car smells nice and it has NOT been smoked in. The engine
sounds great, it handles and drives superbly and has no problem developing high
speeds. Car runs straight as an arrow and tires do not pull in any direction.
The car can be exported, transferred and registered in any state. Now here are some

Mazda struggles to meet demand on rising sales
Mon, 23 Sep 2013
For Mazda there's good and not-so-good news on the heels of strong US sales in 2012: demand is high - especially for the Mazda3, Mazda6 and CX-5 - but supply is low, TheDetroitBureau.com reports. That's partly because all Mazda production happens in Japan, since it ended its alliance with Ford and pulled out of a joint venture with the blue oval building cars in suburban Detroit last year.
In 2012, Mazda sales here jumped 26.4 percent, but 2013 sales through August have just been keeping pace with the overall US auto industry, increasing at a rate of 6.8 percent. Mazda North American Operations director of marketing and communications Jeremy Barnes says that sales have slowed because the company is facing challenges delivering products here.
Should you buy a leftover 2015 or a brand new 2016 model?
Fri, Nov 13 2015One of the most common questions I get asked as a car dealer and auto auctioneer is, "When is the best time to buy a new car?" The answer is usually the time period between Labor Day and the middle of November. That's because this is when new car dealers and the manufacturers are trying to get rid of their current-model-year vehicles to make way for a small army of 2016 models. Rebates, incentives, cheap financing, and overstocks of unpopular models all help create the liquidity needed to turn the old inventory into a new set of wheels for the buying public – often at a very reduced price. But sometimes the "old" new car isn't a better pick than the "new" new car. It depends on a lot of factors, including the car in question and the differences from one model year to the next. I recently received an email from Jeff, who is interested in the Mazda CX-9 and asks whether he should buy a 2015 model or wait for the new version that will debut soon in LA. I'll use his as the example case. Length of Ownership The longer you own a vehicle, the less model year depreciation will be an issue. For example, the difference in value between a five-year-old Mazda 6 and a six-year-old version is about $1,500 according to the Manheim Market Report ($5,600 vs. $4,100). But if you look at the difference between 10-year-old and 9-year-old versions of that same vehicle, the price difference shrinks all the way down to $200. Because Jeff plans to own his new crossover for many years, the 2015 model wins in this category. View 19 Photos Rebates and Incentives The current CX-9 has a $4,000 cash incentive from Mazda. This is in part because Mazda still has quite a few left over. That $4,000 rebate for the current model is already coupled with even stronger discounts at the dealer level for those leftover 2015 models. TrueCar is showing that a loaded 2015 model can be had for $7,000 off the sticker at $28,600. You may even be able to beat that price by negotiating the deal yourself. Another thing to consider is that new models tend to be in high demand when they launch, which means that your purchase price will likely be substantially higher with the new model than it will with a leftover 2015. Again, financially speaking, this is a vote for the 2015 model. New Stuff It's also important to weigh what new features will come along with the updated model and how important they are to you.
White House clears way for NHTSA to mandate vehicle black boxes
Fri, 07 Dec 2012At present, over 90 percent of all new vehicles sold in the United States today are equipped with event data recorders, more commonly known as black boxes. If the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration gets its way, that already high figure will swell to a full 100 percent in short order.
Such automotive black boxes have been in existence since the 1990s, and all current Ford, General Motors, Mazda and Toyota vehicles are so equipped. NHTSA has been attempting to make these data recorders mandatory for automakers, and according to The Detroit News, the White House Office of Management Budget has just finished reviewing the proposal, clearing the way. Now NHTSA is expected to draft new legislation to make the boxes a requirement.
One problem with current black boxes is that there's no set of standards for automakers to follow when creating what bits of data are recorded, and for how long or in what format it is stored. In other words, one automaker's box is probably not compatible with its competitors.
