Great condition. Has black/brown leather interior. I got new tires and rims ~2000 miles ago. The tires are Cooper Zeon ZPT's. Rims are Axis Xplode's. Transmission was rebuilt ~3500 miles ago and I had an aluminum flywheel and a stage 3 clutch installed, all done at a shop. I have all the paperwork for it. I just had the oil cooler lines replaced with the Racing Beat stainless steel braided set which was installed at a dealer. I also have the paperwork for that. And also just had the spark plugs changed. It also has a pioneer double-din touch screen car stereo installed.
Several bolt-on parts:
K&N Intake System,
BHR Ignition Coils,
BHR Midpipe with Catalytic Converter,
ExoticSpeed Catback Exhaust System.
I took good care of it. It was garaged through the winter. I bought it about 2.5 years ago. Never been in an accident. Clean title.

A '70s F1 car and a first-gen Miata make an amazing lovechild
Mon, Aug 22 2016For no apparent reason, this artist asked what if Mazda built an MX-5-based F1 car? And what if it were from the 1970s, the glory days of James Hunt and Niki Lauda? Here's what it'd look like. Look at it! Look at its adorable little eyes and the huge tires. And the intake! The rendering is by YasidDesign and was done live in front of Facebook followers in a Facebook Live session. It borrows heavily from 1970s F1 cars – it looks like a March 741 served as the basis for the open-wheel portion – and blends it effortlessly with MX-5 styling cues. It all came together in about 90 minutes. Watching the process is remarkable, especially considering YasidDesign is doing the bulk of the work live while taking comments and advice from people on Facebook. Check out the video and YasidDesign's other works on his Facebook page. Related Video:
R&T chases down a burglar in the million-mile Miata
Mon, 04 Aug 2014Is the answer always Mazda Miata? We discussed this in passing on the Autoblog Podcast earlier this week, and most assuredly the answer is "no." For example, the little MX-5 would be a terrible people carrier, and it'd be useless off road. You can't really tow anything of substance with it, either. Still, if push came to shove, it's satisfying to know that the diminutive roadster could eke out a career as a chase vehicle for the police.
That fact was proven when Road & Track editor Chris Cantle did something that he himself recognizes as "stupid." Upon returning home, Cantle discovered a "twenty-something" actively burgling his home. The resulting story is easily one of the more entertaining episodes to come out of the 1990 MX-5's service to the team at R&T and, we're guessing, will be one of the highlights of the Million-Mile Miata challenge.
Be sure to head over to Road & Track for a full retelling of the chase from Cantle, as well as a follow-up on the saga.
Petrolicious lets a 1971 Mazda RX-2 howl
Fri, Jan 15 2016Rotary engines scream to the heavens in the best way possible. To hear a wonderful example of the Wankel's battle cry, turn up your speakers and watch Petrolicious highlight an immaculately clean 1971 Mazda RX-2 in Australia. Owner Jason Humble took three years to build his RX-2 from a bare shell, and he started competing with it in vintage racing in 2005. The little coupe's class pits it on track against Mustangs and Camaros, but Humble claims that he's regularly near the top of the pack thanks to the Mazda's communicative chassis. We don't get to see the RX-2 mixing things up on track in the Petrolicious video, but Humble does treat us to a drive through the Australian countryside. He's happy to let the coupe's rotary rev, and the little engine is capable of making a wonderful noise. It's great to see Petrolicious continue to give the spotlight to these sometimes overlooked classic Japanese sports cars.
