A bit of history of the car.

  • I’m second owner, I bought it from original owner, with 40,000 Miles

  • Vehicle has always been garaged, never sees the rain, it’s been garaged since I bought it. It’s never seen rain.

  • I drove the vehicle in original condition until 70,000 miles, then I started upgrading to the turbo setup.

  • Vehicle was engineered and all fabrication was done by Formula Drift Champion 2013, Mike Essa, the vehicle was made of concept from PAC-PERFORMANCE in Australia.

MUST READ: HISTORY!!!!

++++++++Vehicle was modified to fit a 13B turbo, but to maintain the originality of the Rx3, without getting rid of the originality of the car, so keep in mind that I spent more money making sure that Everything was done with a good hand and without ruining the originality of the rx3. Car looks stock in the engine bay, almost as if it left the showroom like that. ++++++

+++++++All hard to get original parts are still with me, matching automatic transmission, etc.  whatever I have, I’m selling with the vehicle. (left side mirror - had to remove due to tight space in the garage, original radiator, original 12A blue air filter with japaneese lettering, and black rubbering hoses, front bezels for lights and grill, automatic transmission with matching numbers to the chassis, AC condenser, AC controller I have everything except the bumpers, and the original motor, and the original carpet. Dash is in near perfect condition. As you can see from the pictures. ++++++++

++++++++Body of the car is great, 2nd owner, no accidents, clean title, original paint, matching numbers for everything except the motor. The motor is not original. I don’t have the original motor. All the original parts to the car, are included in the sale.Everything else is original, 8 Track Player still works just fine. ++++++++++

A bit about the build process:

I built it for 600+ horses and for the Yellow Bee to be 9 seconds in the 1/4 mile And I spent every dime trying to hit that magic number. This could truly be a 9-10 second car

The purchase comes with 2 motors, 1) RACE 1)Street

ALL PARTS ARE BRAND NEW: ENGINE WAS REBUILT 100 Miles AGO:

  • First Engine: 13B Turbo Monster Streetport Engine rebuilt about 100 miles ago (Needs water seals, and oil seals for a minor fix). The motor has high performance aftermarket-Hurley 2MM seals. High Compression Rotors. Monster port, and Large exhaust port.

  • Second Spare Engine: 13B Stock Turbo, Working Motor, but not installed. Bought like 3 months ago. Short Block, in running order.

  • Turbonectics 62-1 Ceramic Ball bearing turbo, Water & Oil cooled, Capable of boosting to 50PSI. Q TRIM EXHAUST (Makes boost at 1,500 RPM)
  • FABRICATION WAS DONE WITH HIGH QUALITY

  • Car is ready to start, new motor is plug and play. Ready for installation.

  • Original Body, Original Color, original paint, no accidents. No Bondo.
  • Title is Clean, No accidents, etc.

  • No Rust whatsoever, no sheet metal work needed, perfect car for restoration, or a 20B Turbo project.

  • All the fabrication was done by Mike Essa, of GSR Performance/Tech Trix Motorsports, google him. High Quality work, FORMULA DRIFT CHAMPION 2013.

  • Rear end is original-stock.

  • Real suspension is stock-leaf spring suspension-original

  • Driveshaft is custom-made, able to withstand 750 Horsepower, lightweight steel, accommodates the 1991 Turbo 2 Rx7 Transmission nicely.

  • Makes boost at 1,500 RPM

  • Extremely fast and fun to drive once it’s up and running

  • Plug and Play, Ready to start once the new motor is installed

  • Over $25,000 in parts alone,
  • $10,000 in fabrication

It should pass any engineering inspection without a problem.

The Bad:

1) Needs water seals, and oil seals, new corner springs.

  1. New engine needs to be installed by the buyer
  2. Original Color, except the engine bay and the hood, I had it painted before I installed new motor, I did not want grease for the installation, no body work was done.
  3. Rear end is stock
  4. Original Carpet is missing, tore out to accommodate the new electric stuff
  5. Rear Seats need to be cleaned
  6. Rear tires are original, including the hubcaps (rotary emblem) need to be replaced
  7. Original Grill does not fit the stock position due to the thickness of the intercooler
  8. Headliner needs a minor repair

I tried to be as honest as i could about the description of the vehicle. Vehicle is being sold as is. This is a great deal. Best of Both worlds. Original and Turbocharged/fuel injected. Super Fun to drive, truly one of a kind. Unique setup.

I’ll throw in a or give a partial credit for the shipping cost, or buyer pays the shipping, everything is depending on the buyers final price. Cost to ship is 1,200-1,500.00, to Melbourne. Just to give you an idea.  Cost to Ship to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania 650.00. So If I help out it should reduce your cost to ship if I give you a credit. WILL SHIP WORLDWIDE.

No tire kickers, no low ballers. If you can’t pay, please don’t bid. Let’s make a deal, this vehicle is ready to start.

Autoblog editors choose their favorite racecars of all time

Thu, Feb 26 2015

If you like cars, there is a good chance that you like racecars. There's something about the science and the art of going faster, of competition, of achievement, that accelerates the hearts of enthusiasts. It doesn't matter the series, the team or the manufacturer – there's something about racing that stirs emotions and lifts spirits. It's that way with many of you, and it's that way with our editors. With that in mind, we offer a list of our favorite racecars of all time. Of course, we'd like to hear some of yours in the comment section below. 1970 Porsche 917 Compared to some of the obscure choices by my colleagues, I feel like the Porsche 917 is almost so obvious a pick as to not be worth mentioning. Still, when coming up with my answer, my mind invariably went back to this classic racer – specifically in its blue-and-orange Gulf livery – while watching Le Mans on DVD and later Blu Ray with my dad. Long, low and curvaceous, few vehicles have ever looked sexier lapping a track than the 917. More than just a pretty face, this beauty had speed, too, thanks to several tunes of flat-12 engines over the course of its racing life. In the early '70s, Porsche was a dominant force throughout sports-car competition, and the 917 (shown above at the 1970 24 Hours of Daytona) was the tip of that spear, including back-to-back victories in the 24 Hours of Le Mans. Largely without dialogue or really much of a traditional plot, Le Mans is like a tone poem of racing goodness. While the 917's importance to motorsports history is undoubtedly fascinating, it's still this cinematic depiction of the Porsche racer that draws me in most, especially with the volume cranked. – Chris Bruce Associate Editor 1964 Mini Cooper S How could everyone not be selecting the 1964 Mini Cooper S piloted by Paddy Hopkirk and Henry Liddon? That car, 33 EJB, took the first of British Motor Corporation's four Monte Carlo Rally wins (it should have been five, but French judges got the British Minis [and Fords] disqualified on a technicality regarding headlights... which its own car, the winning DS, was also in violation of). The tiny red car and its white roof beat out Ford Falcons, Mercedes-Benz 300SEs and scores of Volvos, Volkswagens and Saabs. This, along with the several years of dominance that followed, cemented the idea that not only could the tiny, two-tone Mini be a real performance vehicle, but that family-friendly city cars in general could be fun.

Best places to get your car maintained and repaired

Wed, May 1 2024

In this era of rampant inflation and high interest rates, the challenges of acquiring a car or SUV have been well documented. And so it has never been more important to protect that expensive investment by maintaining it. In recent months, Autoblog has shared Consumer Reports' evaluation of the least and most expensive car brands to keep running, as well as tips to prolong a car’s useful life. Especially since the pandemic, a number of factors have impacted these costs: more complex vehicles, new materials and manufacturing methods, a shortage of qualified technicians and replacement parts. Since 2022, repairs costs have jumped each year by about 10 percent. This month, Consumer Reports is offering a useful primer on keeping your ride in great shape, suggesting what might be the best options for searching out a repair shop, depending, as CR says, “on your car and your situation.” Author Ben Preston identifies three basic types of repair facilities: dealership service departments, independently owned repair shops, and chain repair shops. Building up trust with a specific shop and feeling comfortable going there is important. Preston quotes John Ibbotson, chief mechanic at Consumer ReportsÂ’ Auto Test Center: "You might be able to save a few bucks by going to whichever shop offers the cheapest prices, but if you want consistent, reliable service, itÂ’s best to find a repair shop you trust and stick with it,” Ibbotson says. The story goes on to evaluate each type of service facility. HereÂ’s a breakdown of CRÂ’s findings: Dealerships These work well for owners of newer cars, especially for covered warranty work. But the disadvantage is the high labor rates common to dealer service. Satisfaction ratings for dealer service departments range from very good (Acura, Lexus, Mazda, and Volvo) to not-so-good (Jeep and Kia). Dealers are best for: Fixing infotainment system glitches: "If the screen in the center of your dash has a habit of freezing up, or the touchscreen-activated climate controls arenÂ’t working, the dealership is the most likely place to find someone with the know-how to fix problems that maybe only a factory-authorized technician can access," Ibbotson says. Safety system recalibration: "Anything from a crack in your windshield to a minor fender dent can upset the calibration of the sensors that make features like automatic emergency braking and adaptive cruise control work," says Ibbotson.

Mazda3 to showcase CNG, Hybrid versions in Tokyo

Tue, 22 Oct 2013

Mazda has made huge gains in its competitive set with the introduction of its Skyactiv technologies, and the Japanese automaker appears to have no plans on slowing down. While we're still waiting for the Mazda6 Skyactiv-D diesel to go on sale in the US, Mazda announced that it will debut new Skyactiv-Hybrid and Skyactiv-CNG versions of the Mazda3 (standard US-spec model shown above) at next month's Tokyo Motor Show.
Matching up with what we heard earlier in the summer, the Mazda3 Skyactiv-Hybrid is intended for Japan only, but there are no details about this system regarding fuel economy, electric components or specs. Likewise, there are no details for the Mazda3 Skyactiv-CNG Concept, which is a bi-fuel version of the car running on both gasoline and compressed natural gas. As this car's name suggests, the CNG model is a concept vehicle, and there is no indication that Mazda plans offering such a model here in the US.
In addition to these two vehicles, Mazda will also have an Atenza (Mazda6) on display showing off some vehicle-to-vehicle (V2V) safety systems, called the ASV-5 (Advanced Safety Vehicle). Scroll down for Mazda's official press release.
