Please ask as much as possible, I want the bidder to be confident in his/her purchase.
I have described the Turbo II at my best knowledge of the car. This car is mostly original and unmolested, a plus given the drifter tax is taking a toll and great cars like this. The engine is untouched all OEM as it came from Mazda for the exception of a K&N Filter (Not my choice) the rest of the car is mostly all original. Now here's a list of the modifications done to the car. High quality 3'' Downpipe , Full racing suspension setup, Ground control adjustable coilovers with full camber adjustments on koni adjustabe yellow struts , Racing beat anti-sway bars and end links, Series 4 lower control arms with replaceable ball joints. Strut tower braces front and rear. Prosport boost gauge with custom aluminum gauge pod placed in the stereo spot. Momo prototipo steering wheel on NRG hub and OEM black S5 TII front lip. Tires are Continental Extreme Contact DWS. ABS has been deleted with Mazdatrix delete kit. I use to be a technician in the shop I currently work at and I have owned over 8 Mazda Rx-7's and my latest one being the This turbo TII. Car runs great and is fully functional with great tires and proper alignment done. Full 60,000 Mile Tune up which included new radiator hoses, new fluid in the diff, transmission, radiator, brake and clutch. New spark plugs, fuel filter, engine oil (20-w50 Castrol GTX) Fully functional Oil Metering Pump but I have always Pre-mixed at a 100:1 ratio as a fail safe. Engine, turbo and trans are 100% OE with no mods. Curt tow hitch installed for small tire trailer for auto cross. Video of the car: <a href=https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=85PFw2VBdfk > Another video I made a while back just driving around town, pretty boring vid. <a href=https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yw144n4-r8s > |

2021 Mazda CX-9 gets new tech, Carbon Edition
Tue, Aug 18 2020Mazda announced early Tuesday that the 2021 CX-9 is getting a nip-and-tuck styling update along with some updated tech, including a new 10.25-inch infotainment system powered by the latest version of Mazda Connect. Mazda may have oversold things a bit by saying the 2021 CX-9 styling is new in the strictest sense. We only have this photo and Mazda's press release to go on, but from what we can tell, the changes are effectively relegated to trim elements available with certain option packages or trim levels, and mostly at the higher end. The fundamental shapes of the 2021 CX-9's body panels remain identical to 2020's, while changes include a new grille and wheel design on the Signature model. The biggest changes come care of the Carbon Edition, which gets "Polymetal Gray" exterior paint, gloss black door mirrors, a unique gloss black front grille and 20-inch black metallic aluminum alloy wheels. Inside, it adds red leather seats and black interior trim on the dash, door panels and handle bezels. In addition to the larger screen and updated infotainment interface, Mazda says the 2021 CX-9 will now offer wireless device charging, with a new pad incorporated into the cubby area forward of the gear selector. The most exciting Mazda news for the coming model year might be the introduction of the turbocharged Mazda3, but here in Crossoverland, improvements to the CX-9 are both welcome and necessary. Mazda's stylish three-row is attractive and great to drive, but compromised in terms of practicality for those very reasons. Look for the '21 CX-9 to hit showrooms later this year. Related Video:  Â
Volkswagen's latest ad is not subtle | Autoblog Podcast #509
Fri, Mar 24 2017On this week's podcast, Mike Austin and David Gluckman are joined by special guest James Riswick, who has been driving a lot of new cars lately. All of them are discussed, plus a few more from Mike and David, and Mike rants a bit about a new VW Atlas commercial. The episode wraps up with the traditional doling out of Spend My Money buying advice, during which David briefly goes out into left field. (He's back now, don't worry.) The rundown is below. Remember, if you have a car-related question you'd like us to answer or you want buying advice of your very own, send a message or a voice memo to podcast at autoblog dot com. (If you record audio of a question with your phone and get it to us, you could hear your very own voice on the podcast. Neat, right?) And if you have other questions or comments, please send those too. 2019 Toyota Corolla vs. compact hatchbacks: How they compare
Mon, Apr 30 2018So you've read what we thought about the 2019 Toyota Corolla Hatchback. Oh, you didn't? Well, click to your left, we'll still be here. Just made some coffee, we're good for a while. Welcome back! Wasn't that riveting? The blue paint sure is bright, eh? Well, now you must be wondering how that new 2019 Corolla stacks up with all the other hatchbacks. And, despite long thinking that hatchbacks were doomed, there are actually quite a lot of them these days. So many, in fact, that we couldn't fit them all in our space-limited comparison chart. So, with apologies to the Hyundai Elantra GT, Kia Forte and the dead-man-walking Ford Focus, these were the cars we chose based on sales and competitiveness: the Honda Civic Hatchback, Mazda3 5-Door, Volkswagen Golf, Chevrolet Cruze and Subaru Impreza. We also included the outgoing Corolla iM for reference. If you think we've left something of interest out, you can always create your own comparison. Performance and fuel economy There is but one king here, and its name is Civic. While the sedan and coupe come with a naturally aspirated 2.0-liter 158-horsepower four-cylinder that's less potent than the Corolla's, the hatchback comes standard with the 1.5-liter turbo that aces the segment in terms of both acceleration and fuel economy. The Golf's acceleration should be comparable, but as you can see, it trails on fuel economy (still not bad, though). The new Corolla ends up being better than the rest with its new 168-hp four-cylinder paired to novel transmissions: a six-speed manual with rev-matched downshifting (!) and a CVT that mimics the actions of a 10-speed automatic. The Corolla does weigh more than everything else, though, so that could hamper its acceleration. Fuel economy data also wasn't announced, but Toyota indicated it would be a bit better than the old Corolla iM. Something akin to the 2.0-liter Mazda 3's numbers seems likely. As for the Mazda, its top two trim levels actually come standard with its bigger engine. In any event, despite its ample power, testing has often showed that the Civic is still the quicker car from 0 to 60 mph. And finally, let's not leave out the two on the end. The Subaru is the only car in the segment that offers all-wheel drive (the Focus RS and Golf R don't count), but is also the segment weakling now that the Corolla iM has been discontinued.
