Up for sale is my 1988 mazda rx7 10th anniversary with only 76,000 miles. I bought the car from old neighbor who was the second owner and his son was the original owner. The car was sitting next to my neighbors house for at least 6 or 7 years without use because he was fighting cancer. The car was running when it was parked several years ago but again it hasn't been started in several years it may need a fuel pump, I put a new battery in it and it cranks but won't fire. My neighbor has done suspension mods to the car which are new tokico suspension and front and rear sway bars with urethan bushings. After the suspension was put on I don't think he drove it before he got sick. The car does have some minor body issues from sitting out side which are paint flaking and missing from the hood and head lights, a couple of small dings, the rear hatch area has some paint flaking and missing along with some surface rust around a drain hole which looks like it got clogged and some body tried to clean it out and rubbed the paint off but absolutely no rust threw the body at all. He also ran into the back of another one of his cars in his driveway and made a dent in the hood and bent the oil cooler support a little which is pictured but nothing major, the exhaust is rusted from sitting also. He also put brakes on the car all the way around and brand new tires a couple of years ago. The car has no engine mods at all but he did have the seats covered in some ugly black and white seat covers. The car will come with the factory 10th anniversary embossed steering wheel not my momo and the sunroof may be off track and the cover is off but I have the cover. After I purchased the car I was going to get it running and daily it, but I have to finish building other cars and this will just sit in the way. Overall a awesome car that is in decent condition and has very low miles for it's age and no threw the body rust and is getting harder and harder to find in this good of a condition being only 1,500 were ever mad. If you have any questions feel free to send me a message. Buyer is responsible for shipping and pick up.

Mazda6 diesel may finally launch this year according to CARB certification

Tue, Feb 11 2020

For close to a decade, Mazda said it would bring its latest generation of diesel engine, Skyactiv-D, to the United States. And for most of that time, it said that engine would appear in the Mazda6. Last year Mazda finally brought us the engine in the CX-5, and it looks like this year, the 6 will finally get it, too. This seems to be the case based on a CARB certification posted on January 31 specifically for the midsize family sedan. The CX-5, in both front-wheel- and all-wheel-drive variants, is listed in a different certification, so it's not a case of a blanket certification for every vehicle the engine could appear in this year. As expected, the document lists the 6 as having a 2.2-liter turbocharged engine with a six-speed automatic, though it doesn't say whether the model is front-wheel-drive or all-wheel. Either is certainly possible, since all-wheel drive, in particular with the diesel, is available in overseas Mazda6s. Like in the CX-5, the engine will probably make 168 horsepower and 290 pound-feet of torque. While this certification tells us the diesel 6 will probably launch this year as a 2021 model, we're left to estimate the reveal date. Midway through the year, or possibly at the start of the next auto show cycle would seem likely, which would coincide with a model year update. Mazda has stated it will only be offered on the top-tier Signature trim, which starts at $36,345 with the standard turbocharged gasoline 4-cylinder. Looking at the price difference between a turbocharged Mazda CX-5 Signature with all-wheel-drive and the diesel CX-5, the price difference is about $4,000, so it would seem reasonable to expect the Mazda6 diesel to ring in at about $40,000. Mazda Recalling Cars Due To Spider Webs In Engines

Sun, Apr 6 2014

It seems that Yellow Sac spiders really, really love Mazda. Three years after Mazda recalled 52,000 Mazda6 sedans over spider webs obstructing the evaporative canister vent lines of 2009 and 2010 Mazda6 models, another recall has been issued for 42,000 more of the models built between 2010 and 2012 and equipped with the 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine. According to the automaker, there have been nine confirmed sightings of spiders in vent lines since the original recall. It seems that covers were applied at the factory to keep the arachnids from entering, but it hasn't quite exterminated the problem. A reflash of the ECU is required that "[changes] the logic behind how the car purges the charcoal canister during normal operation," says Jeremy Barnes, Director, Public Relations & Brand Experience at Mazda North American Operations. So far, Mazda has not recorded any fires, accidents or injuries due to this tangled mess of webs. Recall notices will be mailed out to owners later this month. 'Ringbanana' Miata is improbable 9-minute Nurburgring car

Wed, Aug 12 2015

The combination of being inexpensive, capable, reliable, and friendly to all skill levels makes the Mazda Miata one of the world's most popular platforms for motorsports, but the roadsters aren't exactly rocketships. What would it take to lap a ratty, first-gen example around the Nurburgring Nordschleife in less than nine minutes? We're not exactly sure, but the Ringbanana team intends to discover the answer. The project is the type of thing that gets dreamed up after a few too many pilsners: buy the cheapest running Miata available and put as little money necessary into the roadster to make it capable around the 'Ring. As the Best-Motoring-inspired intro explains, the Mazda is largely stock other than some Fulda performance tires, possibly aftermarket springs, and a stripped interior. The video above shows the baseline test, and the convertible manages a 9:21.8 circuit, which doesn't seem too bad as a start. The video below goes into far more detail about the project's genesis and its goal. Plus, the two hosts are quite entertaining when replying to the comments from the original clip. We wish them the best of luck and look forward to following along on Facebook to see what it takes to get the Ringbanana below nine minutes. This content is hosted by a third party.
