2006 MAZDA MX-5 (MIATA) 6SPEED, LEATHER, BOSE STEREO, 17" WHEELS, ALL POWER, AC, PEARL RED IN COLOR WITH THE "ORANGEISH" RED LEATHER INTERIOR. IT DOES NOT SAY ANYTHING ON IT BUT I AM TOLD IT IS A GT BASED ON THE EQUIPTMENT IT HAS. I THINK IT HAS EVERY OPTION AVAILABLE. EVERYTHING WORKS ON THE CAR AS IT SHOULD AND RUNS AND DRIVES GREAT. THE MOTOR RUNS GREAT BUT HAS BEGAN TO HAVE AN INTERNAL KNOCK WHICH IS MISFORTUNATE BECAUSE THIS TRULY IS A NICE CAR. CAR CAN BE DRIVEN BUT FIGURE ON TRAILERING IT HOME AS I CAN ONLY ASSUME DRIVING THE CAR VERY FAR WILL FURTHER DAMAGE THE MOTOR. IT DOES NOT SMOKE OR OVERHEAT BUT ABSOLUTELY NEEDS SOME ATTENTION TO THE MOTOR KNOCK!!! I DONT KNOW IF IT COST $200 OR $2500 TO FIX-DEPENDS ON WHO YOU ASK AND WHETHER YOU FIX THIS MOTOR OR PUT IN A USED ONE. THE CAR ITSELF IS BEAUTIFUL AND IS VERY WORTHY OF BEING FIXED. THE BUY TI NOW IS ABOUT $2000 UNDER LOAN VALUE. PARTS AND EVEN THE MOTOR IS EASY TO FIND AS I HAVE BEEN DOING SOME RESEARCH IN THE EVENT IT DOES NOT SELL I WILL HAVE IT FIXED AND ENJOY IT THIS SPRING. DO NOT BID IF YOU CANT PAY FOR IT- NO EXCUSES. I HAVE A FREE AND CLEAR TITLE IN MY NAME WITH NO LIENS. PLEASE CALL WITH ANY QUESTIONS OR TO COME BY AND SEE AND DRIVE. (405) 818-7882. THANKS

Dealers think Mazda's new Mexico plant will increase Mazda3 sales by 20%
Mon, 27 Jan 2014Mazda3 sales in the US were down about 15 percent last year to a total of 104,713 units. According to a report from Automotive News, though, the slowdown in sales has been due more to production constraints than demand.
Good news for Mazda dealers, then, that a new plant in Salamanca, Mexico has just come online. Tom Carey, chairman of Mazda's national dealer council, told AN, "We're going to be in good shape because of that Mexico inventory." If estimates prove accurate, sales of the Mazda3 will increase by about 20 percent when the new plant begins production this month.
If those lofty projections come to pass, Mazda will reportedly be on track to exceed 300,000 total sales in the US in 2014, which would represent the brand's highest figures since its 375,000-unit peak in 1994. The brand hopes to sell more than 400,000 vehicles in the US by 2016, and with well-received products like the latest 3 and Mazda6 sedan, such expectations seem quite possible.
Mazda CX-3 crossover coming to LA
Tue, 28 Oct 2014The Mazda booth at this year's Los Angeles Auto Show will showcase some new crossovers. In addition to the refreshed CX-5 that we're expecting, the Japanese automaker has announced plans to unveil its new CX-3 compact crossover.
According to Mazda, the brand's entry into the compact CUV market will feature "the full range of SKYACTIV technology and KODO - Soul of Motion design." We take that to mean lightweight chassis and body architectures along with fuel-sipping gasoline and, perhaps, diesel engines.
The CX-3 will have to take on a slew of upcoming competitors, including the Honda HR-V, Chevrolet Trax and Jeep Renegade, and reports indicate it will share a platform with the Mazda2, which is just starting production in Mexico. We don't yet know if it will be front-wheel drive only or if all-wheel drive will be optional. The CUV is also likely to share the Mazda2's engine, which isn't yet revealed for the North American market. Japan gets the 2 with either a 1.3-liter gasoline engine or a 1.5-liter diesel.
Road & Track to take Miata on million-mile march
Sat, 11 Jan 2014Road & Track has taken on a Miata project. One hell of a project, if we're honest. You see, the Miata in question, a 1989 example in Mariner Blue, isn't a high-mileage Mazda that the publication intends to fix up, or make race-worthy, or try to flip or give away to a reader or something. No, it's a rather typical well-used NA, with a hefty 325,000 miles on the clock to-date that the staff plans on driving until the six-digit odo reads all zeros again. One million miles or bust (or both, most likely).
Procured for the bargain-basement price of $1,600, complete with seat covers that "really do look like muppet pelts" (according to Zach Bowman) and a bondo-filled love tap on the nose, the NA Miata actually looks like just the sort of fun-machine that a real driving enthusiast would pick up to get some cheap thrills in. The R&T team already has some interesting plans for the Miata, including a potential run up Pikes Peak and loaning it out to readers (or perhaps your author...).
