Come and see this beautiful Miata.  It is in the right color combination, especially because the top is black and it doesn't show any wear like the lighter colors do.  Runs and Drives perfect.  Ice Cold A/C too.  The 5-Speed manual transmission and clutch shift perfectly with no noises or clunking.  This Miata only has 53,800 miles on it and it has been well kept.  The black paint is very glossy and there is no rust on the body anywhere.  Everything works and is clean.  The car comes with floor mats and all the books/manuals, spare tire and jack.  There is no damage on the vehicle other than a small 8cm spot on the bottom of the driver's door, which you can't see because it was painted to match the car.  Other than the normal rock chips on the front and some small hairline scratches, the rest is beautiful.  The leather interior is very clean.  No rips on the seats and the driver's side seat bolster is not torn up like most others.  There are a few marks on the top of the steering wheel, but very small to notice. There is also a small scuff on the front of the glove box.

At Tech Line Auto Sales, we only purchase and re-sell quality, hand picked, vehicles.  All of the vehicles are put through a 110-point inspection and are test driven as they were our only cars.  Any issues that are found, even a broken cup holder, are fixed before the vehicle is sold.  When other cars are listed and they say, "this can be easily fixed", that means it can't be fixed easily or not costly... otherwise, they would have fixed it beforehand.  All used vehicles are sold AS-IS.

Please email or call us with any questions or to set up a meeting.  631-848-5550.  If you wish to have the vehicle shipped, we will help you with the arrangements.  If you would like to have the car inspected, please have the inspection company contact us to arrange the inspection.

Buyers are required to make a $500 NON-REFUNDABLE deposit.  Full payment is due 7 days after the purchase is complete.  If you are not able to pick up the vehicle for a longer period of time, you will still be required to send in the final payment prior to pick up.

Please plan ahead!  Do not wait until the last day to consider the vehicle if this is the car you want.  The listing is posted nationally so everyone in the US can see it and will inquire about it.  A sale is only a deal when you click the Buy it Now or we accept the best offer.  If we agree on a price via email and another buyer clicks the buy it now, they will be the purchaser.  We are only saying this to avoid confusion and to make it fair for everyone.

Thank you for looking!

Farmer moves illegally parked car with tractor

Wed, May 4 2016

Bad parking in London can get you a ticket or the boot, but bad parking in the West Country is treated in a more direct manner. One motorist learned this fact in early May when a video published by The Daily Mail showing a farmer moving a car with his tractor went viral. Lianne Dunn and Ally Boxall were out for a drive near Marksbury when they came upon a strange sight. Coming at them down the narrow country lane was a tractor with a red Mazda6 perched on its front-end loader attachment. One of the women pulled out her cell phone and filmed the odd scene while the other backed into a convenient driveway to let the tractor past. As the tractor trundled by with its load, they asked the young man guiding the driver what was going on. "They parked in this chap's drive," he said in his broad, West Country burr. "He asked us to move the car, nobody claimed it." When asked where the pair were taking the car, the unnamed farmer replied, "We're going to put it up on the main road. It's the police's problem then." The two women, obviously entertained by the spectacle, exchange a few more words with the young farmer before they finally drive off. "This is the best!" one of the women says as on the video. "Never piss a farmer off!" 2016 Mazda CX-5 [w/video]

Mon, Apr 20 2015

It's difficult for me to get excited about crossovers. I try hard not to be the stereotypical car guy: ignoring the fact that the rest of the world loves these tall hatchbacks, while yelling, "station wagons make more sense!" until I've voided my lungs of air. Deep down I am that guy, but I work around it. Historically the Mazda CX-5 is one crossover that has been quasi-immune to my knee-jerking. It doesn't weigh two tons, offers a manual transmission (in poverty spec, but still...), and looks faster than its competitors. Most importantly, the CX-5 can round a corner without wobbling like a Slinky at the top of the stairs. No item on that list of plaudits would likely crack the top ten "desirables" for average small CUV shoppers. So, for the 2016 update, Mazda instead upgraded the in-cabin experience along with the requisite nips and tucks to the exterior. I borrowed a 2016 model CX-5 to see whether or not those concessions to comfort affected the car-nerd stuff. And to see if the Mazda could still be my go-to CUV recommendation. Driving Notes The engine options are unchanged for 2016. You can still have the fine, 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine, with its 184 horsepower and 185 pound-feet of torque, or its wimpier 2.0-liter lil' brother. My fully spec'd Grand Touring came with the bigger engine, which feels adequately powerful for the class, but not quick. In an era where turbocharged engines are everywhere, revving the Skyactiv 2.5-liter up to its torque peak at 3,250 rpm takes some commitment. I'm annoyed that there's no manual offered with the 2.5L (a combo I can have in both the Mazda3 and Mazda6), but I don't hate the automatic transmission. The six-speed unit is unobtrusive 99 percent of the time; something I regretfully can't tell you about certain nine-speed autos. There are no paddles to play with, but you can tap the shift lever up and down if you're struck by a need for total control. With a new center console and dash, and the addition of the Mazda Connect infotainment system, the '16 CX-5 feels like a new vehicle from behind the wheel. An attractive, pliant, leatherish material swaths the neat console and surrounding real estate. And the perforated leather seats feel damn near upscale. I think that Mazda Connect's version of the central control knob (with handy adjacent volume knob) is almost luddite-proof in its simplicity. There's no latency between twisting and reaction on the screen.

Mazda6 diesel is coming, too, Mazda promises (again)

Wed, Apr 17 2019

As we noted our piece earlier today about the CX-5 diesel, we've been waiting for Mazda to bring its Skyactiv-D engines to market for years. Tripped up by an emissions certification nightmare that caused delays and resulted in lackluster power and fuel economy numbers, they're late to the party. In the CX-5 diesel, it's also a questionable proposition at almost $4,000 more than the much more powerful CX-5 Turbo. But today, Mazda's U.S. president confirmed to Autoblog that the diesel engine would make its way into the 6. Like the CX-5, it'll only be offered with all-wheel drive and only on the top Signature trim level. Unlike the CX-5 diesel, which goes on sale in July, we don't know when the Skyactiv-D-powered 6 will go on sale. But it seems like later this year is a good bet. How much longer can Mazda wait, really, once the CX-5 diesel is on sale? The diesel Mazda6 will use the same 2.2-liter engine as the CX-5. It'll probably offer the same power figures – 168 horsepower at 4,000 rpm and 290 pound-feet of torque from a low 2,000 rpm, with a 5,500-rpm redline. The fuel economy bonus for choosing a diesel over the turbocharged gas engine should roughly parallel the difference in the CX-5: about 5 mpg in the city and 3 mph on the highway. That said, we don't know the 6's EPA fuel economy numbers yet. We expect the price premium to roughly parallel the CX-5 as well, so the diesel will likely be several thousand dollars more than the gas turbo engine in the same Signature trim. These are educated guesses, of course, and when we have firmer numbers or solid estimates from Mazda we'll let you know.
