2000 Mazda Miata SE number 314/3000
6 Speed Manual transmission 38k miles OEM hardtop Very nicely equipped with a full Jackson Racing supercharger kit. Complete kit, running on 5psi of boost. Gives the car that little extra kick to make it that much more fun. Besides the supercharger and supporting accessories the only other aftermarket parts are: Greddy exhaust (nice low rumble, very quiet for an aftermarket exhaust) chrome roll bar front strut bar Autometer boost and air/fuel gauges Lightweight wheels Cross drilled rotors Radio (touchscreen DVD player which does not work, not sure what happened) Adjustable electric rear spoiler LED rear tail lights The spoiler was professionally installed, water tight and operates with a switch located in the ash tray. Can be set at any height and is actually functional. The car was involved in an accident at 14k miles. It was professionally repaired and inspected by the state. The drivers fender, headlight, hood, and bumper cover were replaced however the underlying unibody (radiator support, ect) is all original. You can tell looking under the hood that the car was not structurally compromised and did not have to be straightened on a frame machine or anything or the sort. It was all superficial damage. Issues with the car are as follows: Soft top has 2 tears...but it has an OEM hardtop As stated radio is inop Check engine light is on becasue of the high flow catalytic converter Small door ding (see pic) Drivers seat bolster is worn (see pic) The spots you see in the pics is TREE SAP, not clear coat issues The car overall is in very good condition, runs/drives/stops excellent. Here is video I made today (11/24/2013) of the car idling and a quick rev. Runs like stock Miata but pulls like a train when you get on it. If I wasn't 6'5 it'd be staying for a lot longer...and for the record yes the nosie under the hood IS the supercharger http://youtu.be/1QQcjLorWQQ |

Japanese automakers welcome North American trade deal, fear what's next
Tue, Oct 2 2018TOKYO — Toyota, Nissan and Mazda welcomed on Tuesday the revised North America trade deal that left Japanese automakers unscathed, but they may face a bumpy ride when Washington and Tokyo hold new talks on over $40 billion of annual U.S. auto imports from Japan. The United States and Canada reached an agreement on Sunday to update the 1994 North American Free Trade Agreement after Washington had forged a separate trade deal with Mexico in August. The updated deal effectively maintains the auto industry's current footprint in North America, and spares Canada and Mexico from the prospect of U.S. national security tariffs on their vehicles. Mazda, which ships cars to the United States from Mexico and Japan, called the deal a "big step forward". Nissan, which makes the cars it sells in the United States locally as well as in Mexico, Japan and other countries, said it was "encouraged" by the agreement. Toyota, Japan's biggest automaker, said it was "pleased" that a basic deal was reached. Other automakers were not immediately available for comment. While the deal has removed the risk that the disintegration of the pact would have posed to automakers, bigger risks loom large for Japanese firms as a chunk of the roughly 7 million cars they sold in the U.S. last year were shipped from Japan, and a trade deal between Washington and Tokyo has yet to be agreed. The United States and Japan last week agreed to begin fresh trade talks, with U.S. President Donald Trump seeking to address Japan's $69 billion trade surplus, of which nearly two-thirds comes from auto exports. Washington is also investigating the possibility of slapping 25 percent tariffs on auto imports on national security grounds, although it has agreed with Japan to put any new tariffs on hold during the talks. Analysts say the United States may take a tougher stance on auto imports from Japan than from its neighbors. "If Japan requests an exemption from the 25 percent tariffs under consideration, Washington could propose a more strict cap on imports than it agreed to with Mexico and Canada," said Koji Endo, senior analyst at SBI Securities. "That would be a risk." This could be a big blow to Japan, as the United States is a key source of revenue for Japanese automakers including Toyota, Nissan and Honda. The U.S. market accounts for a quarter or more of their annual global vehicle sales, and of their total U.S.
2014 Mazda6 to start at $20,880*
Wed, 19 Dec 2012We got our very first taste of the impressive 2014 Mazda6 back in October, and had more than a few good things to say about the midsizer. One piece of information that was conspicuous by its absence, however, was a sticker price.
Now, with zero pomp and circumstance (not even a press release as of this writing), Mazda has dropped what looks to be official pricing for the 6 on its consumer website.
$20,880 is the asking price for the base Mazda6 Sport with a manual transmission (plus $795 worth of destination charges, for a total of $21,675). Alaska residents will need to cough up $840 for destination. The loaded-up Mazda6 Grand Touring shown on the site will set you back a total of $30,290 (MSRP of $29,495), but it isn't clear if that's the starting price of the Grand Touring trim. Mazda is taking orders for the new 6 right now, and the cars will be available on January 2, 2013.
2015 Mazda3 finally pairs 6-speed manual with larger engine
Mon, 15 Sep 2014With all of the hype and anticipation surrounding the 2016 Mazda MX-5 Miata, the Japanese brand was able to sneak another driver-oriented model into its lineup. The company's spec page for the 2015 Mazda3 hatchback and sedan have been updated to list the Skyactiv-G 2.5-liter four-cylinder as finally being available with a six-speed manual transmission, in addition to the previous six-speed automatic. The automaker had promised the row-your-own gearbox with the bigger engine back when it first announced the new Mazda3, but it waited a model year to actually put the combo on sale.
According to Mazda's specs, the manual gearbox trims 40 pounds off of a hatchback or 54 pounds off of a sedan in s Touring and s Grand Touring trims. However, shedding that weight doesn't necessarily boost fuel economy. The six-speed hatch is rated at 26 miles per gallon city and 35 mpg highway, compared to 27/37 for the automatic. The manual sedan is rated at 25/37 city/highway mpg, versus 28/39 with the auto. Buyers can save a little money by opting for the manual, though. Regardless of body style, it's about $1,050 cheaper than the automatic.
Autoblog reached out to Mazda and learned that the 2.5L 6MT models started hitting dealers in August. The 2.5 wasn't initially available with the stick because, "We had to prioritize engineering resources and the 2.5L 6MT was not a high priority combination. Globally, smaller engines are preferred in terms of sales," a Mazda spokesperson explained via email. The automaker also notes that Austrailia will probably be the only other market outside of North America to get the six-speed gearbox with the larger engine.
