Nice Mazda 6 Low Miles, New Michellin Tires on 2040-cars
Boone, North Carolina, United States
|
I bought this car from a young couple who needed money. I've driven it about 25 miles Everything seems to work ok. It certainly is very fast and smooth. Drives and handles great. The tires are brand new Michellins with less than 1000 miles on them. Fabulous sound system. Lots of power options that all appear to work. A/C blows cold.
I've included a shot of the key on / engine off instrument panel so that all the warning lights can be seen to be functioning ok. The worst thing about the car is that the former owners were in a hailstorm as they were moving from Illinois to NC. The car is covered with dents of all sizes. I tried to show them as best as possible. There is also a crease in the drivers side rear fender. The headlight covers are hazy. The headliner is coming loose in front of the rear window. The car could certainly use a good cleaning. I have the front floormats but they are dirty and stained. I have a clear NC title in my name. It is a clear, regular NC title, and NOT a salvage or anything like that. PLEASE READ BEFORE BIDDING THIS VEHICLE IS SOLD AS-IS, WHERE-IS, WITH NO WARRANTY OF ANY SORT. Inspections by potential buyers or their representative are encouraged and welcomed. It is the buyer's responsibility to satisfy himself as to the condition of the vehicle before bidding or making an offer to purchase. The only exception on a warranty issue is if the buyer arrives to pick up the vehicle and discovers a major mis-description, then I will refund the deposit, no questions asked. This does NOT include cosmetic issues or anything already disclosed in the description. I'm not going to jeopardize my 3000+ feedback just to sell a car. Please ask all questions BEFORE making an offer. Please have your transportation and financial arrangements in place BEFORE making an offer. I hate to have to say this, but it seems that someone always misunderstands; a sale on eBay is just that. It is not an opportunity to come and kick the tires or negotiate. I try to clearly state and abide by my terms and eBay's rules. I expect everyone else to do likewise. If a potential buyer has less than 25 positive feedback, then I will generally ignore their offer or cancel their bid, UNLESS they contact me first by using the "ask a question" feature below. There is a $500.00 non-refundable deposit due by verified PayPal within 24 hours of the conclusion of the sale. "Verified" means that the funds are in the buyers PayPal account, and not funded by a credit card. The balance is due within 7 days, and may be by cash, check, or bank-to-bank transfer. Any form of check will hold the vehicle and title for up to 14 days pending clearing. I can store the vehicle for up to 30 days after full payment. I will also assist with loading if transport is used, and have a good easy place here to load. |

Fri, 02 May 2014Mazda made a big celebration of the MX-5 Miata at the 2014 New York Auto Show with a bunch of classic models on display. It capped off the model's 25th birthday with the announcement of the 2015 MX-5 Miata 25th Anniversary Edition and showed off the much-anticipated, next-generation version's chassis.
While we are still at least year away from the new Miata hitting the road, the anniversary edition is on its way and is limited to just 100 copies for the United States. The special cars start at $32,205, compared to $23,970 for the 2015 softtop model and $28,665 for the 2015 retractable hardtop version. There is an additional $795 destination charge for all of them.
To make sure everyone gets a chance to own the ceremonial convertible, Mazda has a countdown on its website until 10:25 AM PDT, May 20, 2014. When the day comes, 250 people can to register for the car, and the first 100 to be verified as buyers get the rare Miata. Those with multiple entries will be disqualified.
2014 Mazda6: Introduction
Thu, 30 May 2013An Extended Stay With The Sexy Six
The new-for-2014 Mazda6 sedan is more than just a pretty face. For Mazda, it marks the company's best effort yet at competing in the highly competitive midsize sedan segment, all the while staying true to the brand's core value of offering high levels of driver involvement above all. We certainly came away impressed after our first drive of the sleek Six in France last fall, and we knew right from the start that this would be a car we'd want to spend a lot of time with back here at home.
So with that in mind, the folks at Mazda graciously agreed to loan us the fully loaded Soul Red tester you see here for a one-year stay in the Autoblog long-term garage. Because of how important this car is to the segment, and to Mazda as a brand, we know there's going to be a lot to talk about it over the next 12 months. Right now, though, allow us to introduce you to the newest member of our long-term family.
Mazda Miata getting i-ELOOP regenerative 'braking' in more markets
Wed, Jan 8 2020The Mazda MX-5 Miata is getting the company's i-ELOOP regenerative "braking" system in more overseas markets. A few months ago, the company announced it for the Japanese market, and this week it announced the U.K. will have the feature, too. This has us curious as to whether it will be offered on U.S. market Miatas. We've reached out to Mazda, and we'll update this story if and when we hear back. As a quick refresher, i-ELOOP is a system that was introduced here on the Mazda6 several years ago, and it adds a capacitor to store electricity generated by the alternator during deceleration (hence our earlier use of quotes around "braking") that can be used to run interior accessories such as the sound system and climate control. Then, with power coming from the capacitor, the alternator can be disengaged, improving the efficiency of the engine by reducing drag. And by using a capacitor rather than a battery, the system is more compact, lighter and able to recharge faster than a similarly capacious conventional battery. As for effectiveness, the Mazda6 with i-ELOOP managed to get about 5% more miles per gallon on the highway than one without, going from 38 mpg to 40 mpg. While not a massive improvement, it was a measurable, possibly noticeable one. Applying a similar gain to a Miata would increase fuel economy from 35 to nearly 36.75 mpg on the highway, based on the automatic-equipped car's numbers. The manual would go from 34 to nearly 35.7. The i-ELOOP system is standard on all new Miatas in the U.K., which includes the 1.5-liter and 2.0-liter engines with either the manual transmission or automatic. Strangely, only automatic-equipped cars get it in Japan. This means Mazda could offer it on both transmission options in the U.S. Probably the key consideration will be cost. The system, when it launched in the U.S., was only available on the most expensive Mazda6, and even then it was an extra-cost option. And looking at pricing for the U.K. Miata soft-top and comparing equivalent trim levels, the price has increased between GBP2,800 and GBP4,100. The new model does get some new standard safety features, too, but we expect the i-ELOOP system is a significant contributor. If it is offered in the U.S., it might only be available as an option, and possibly only on the more expensive trim levels to keep lower trims more affordable.
