This auction is for a very nice Mazda B2200 pick-up. It belongs to my son and has been his primary transportation up until he purchased a newer Mazda. He is only the third owner with the second owner being his uncle who bought the truck when it was only 1 year old. The paint and body on this truck is outstanding and it still retains all it's original stripes. I am sure there are not many out there anywhere that can make that claim. The rear bumper sags on the right side and
could use some straightening. There is no frame or body damage associated with it, just the brackets need some attention and it needs a new bumper pad on that side.It has new tires and all the brakes and shocks have less then 5,000 miles on them. Less then 10,000 miles ago it had a new clutch and slave cylinder installed and the rear differential rebuilt. Less then 25,000 miles ago it had a new timing belt and water pump.  Everything on this truck is in working condition except the air conditioning which is complete except needing a belt and a charge.

The engine runs well and always starts right up. The transmission shifts well and as I mentioned the rear differential has been professionally rebuilt. Every now again it does develop a slight valve tap, but it always goes away and has been doing this for the last 100,000 miles or more.  It does have a rumble sound when it decelerates but this also has been there for a while and doesn't seem to affect anything. The interior for it's age is also good. The drivers side of the seat sags a bit and has a small, maybe 1' rip on the side facing the door of the cushion. The carpet is good but could use a good cleaning. The door panels are very nice, near perfect  but they to could use some soap and water. This truck has never really been used as a work truck ever. About the only thing it ever really hauled was when my son or my brother might had used it to move from one place to another. It has since new, a quality bed liner in it which also helped protect the bed.

This truck with some minor attention would be capable of being taken to shows as it does qualify for an Antique License here in PA and looks great. It also comes with a bed cap if the high bidder would like it. This cap was on the truck for the better part of it's life.

As alway if you have any questions please do not hesitate to ask. If I do not have the answer I will do my best to get one for you.

Fourth-gen Mazda MX-5 Miata could get turbo power later in life

Thu, Aug 6 2015

While there's a lot to love about the new Mazda MX-5 Miata, its debut was met by a vocal group of enthusiasts who derided the fourth-generation roadster's reduction in power output. The new model only puts out 155 horsepower, down from 167 in the NC. A report from Australia, though, claims Mazda may yet address the less potent output of the ND. Things started earlier this year, as Motoring.com.au tells it, when Mazda's global PR boss, Kudo Hidetoshi, hinted that a turbocharged or Mazdaspeed model "will definitely" be considered. Then last month at Goodwood, the ND's program manager, Nobuhiro Yamamoto, said complainers were welcome to get their thrills elsewhere. Recognizing this contradiction among Mazda's brass, Motoring asked Yamamoto-san again about his statements, which he seemed to walk back. "It's not a conflict [between statements made by Yamamoto and Hidetoshi]," Yamamoto said, indicating that his statements were made in relation to the new MX-5's launch. "Kudo-san talked about this in terms of a 10-year lifespan, but when I was asked the question right after the launching of the ND, I said 'we have no plan to have a turbo at that point in time.' That is what I meant." Seeking an opening, Motoring pushed the Japanese engineer on the chances of a more potent MX-5, perhaps without a turbocharger. "If you could achieve what we want, to which is great response, very light and powerful with great performance feel with natural aspiration, then we don't need a turbo," Yamamoto said. "But if we want more power because we don't get satisfied with natural aspiration then we may think about the turbo." Related Video:

Consumer Reports declares most and least loved cars [w/video]

Wed, Dec 3 2014

Consumer Reports is crunching the numbers from its annual owner-satisfaction survey, and part of that process is finding out how attached drivers are to their cars. CR simply asks readers of models up to three years old if they would buy the same vehicle again in light of their entire ownership experience, and tallies the results. After looking at the responses for about 350,000 vehicles, it turns out that people really love a certain California-built, electrically powered luxury sedan. That's right, this year's the overall winner was the Tesla Model S with a whopping 98 percent of owners saying they would purchase another one (the Model S also won this award last year, with 99 percent satisfaction). The Chevrolet Corvette Stingray came in a close second with 95 percent of drivers hoping to park another one in their garage. A few models weren't quite so favored, though. The Nissan Versa Sedan was the least loved model among its owners; a mere 42 percent said that they would purchase another. The aging Jeep Compass didn't do much better, with just 43 percent of drivers willing to buy the softroader again. On average, about 70 percent of owners say they would buy their car again, and only four cars ranked below 50 percent in CR's findings. Check out the video above to see some of the winners and losers in a few of CR's categories. If you're a subscriber, you can check out the full list on its website. Mazda 16X rotary engine two years away, will arrive in all-new model

Fri, 16 Aug 2013

We last reported on Mazda's next-generation rotary engine project in June of 2012 when the automaker built its last Renesis-powered RX-8, but rumors of this new engine's development had been around way before that final car left the production line in Japan, last year.
We now have enthusiastic confirmation that this next-gen rotary engine is really and truly going forward. It is still referred to as 16X and has several priorities. First is to lower fuel consumption compared to the RX-8's engine, while still making gains in terms of performance. The second is to reduce the burning of oil that was happening at the highest revs. And the third and final priority, and perhaps most key for enthusiasts, is to give the powertrain a big torque upgrade.
What we were told by a Mazda USA insider (while we are all here together at the festivities in Monterey) is that the first application of the new 16X engine will be happening in two years' time in an as yet undisclosed new model. Oh, the mind races to our eternal Mazda wish list...
