1993 Mazda Rx-7 Custom Convertible on 2040-cars
Fairfax, Virginia, United States
Hello,
I am selling a 1993 Mazda RX-7 (RX7) Convertible with just under 92k miles on the chassis, which had been custom made to be a convertible by the company in California called Newport Convertibles, who advised me that they only recall making a hand full of these conversions due to the cost of the conversion ($10,000)! This is not a hack job, as there are 3 reinforcement beams, 2 of which are running on the left and right side of the car and connect with the center, as well as one connecting the rear 2 strut bar towers together. Bose system is present in the rear even after the conversion. The handling of this car is not compromised and a bargain to anyone who is interested in owning one of the very few and probably the only one you will ever see for sale! The interior was re-done in custom Tan color to include the rear bins. Exterior is a custom brilliant brown/maroon mix (changes shades from dark brown at night to lighter maroon in the light). The car is almost all original and comes with Mazda RX-7 accessories like the splash guards, spoiler, aluminum door sills, R1/R2 strut bar/front lip and 99 spec converted tail lights, new battery, silicone vacuum job and low mileage twin turbos with PFS silicone couplers in the pressure piping, Fluidyne aluminum radiator, PFS 3" down-pipe and K&N Lifetime Drop in Intake Air Filter. The engine and engine harness was replaced by the dealer under warranty within the first 3 years of the car's life, so the engine mileage is less then what is on the chassis. All of these were put/done for aesthetics (optional Mazda OEM rx-7 specific parts/upgrades) and as part of maintenance and upgrades over the years. The car was daily driven for the past few years, but due to other cars and projects would like to sell as I own three 3rd Gen RX-7s and will be happy with just 2! Pics of various angles of the car are available and can be provided upon request. Please contact me if you have any questions...I'll be more then happy to provide any details you need. |

Surprise! 2017 Mazda MX-5 RFs are already being delivered
Tue, Nov 22 2016Last month, when Mazda opened up ordering for Launch Editions of the MX-5 RF, the company estimated that cars would arrive in February. Well, today Mazda announced that some changes in production scheduling meant that MX-5 RFs are ready sooner than expected. In fact, Mazda already delivered an RF to a customer. The company delivered the first MX-5 RF Launch Edition in America last week to Dave Putter. He got the keys from Masahiro Moro, president and CEO of Mazda North America Operations, at the LA auto show last week. More RFs are coming, too. Mazda says that about 500 more will arrive across the country in December. Mazda also said that availability will expand throughout the winter and spring months. So, for people who've ordered a Launch Edition, it looks like you may get an early holiday gift. And for those waiting to check out normal ones in dealers, you won't have to wait much longer. Sell your own: 2012 Mazda CX-9 AWD
Fri, Jun 9 2017Looking to sell your car? We make it both easy and free. Quickly create listings with up to six photos and reach millions of buyers. Log in and create your free listings. If your only connection to Mazda is the MX-5 Miata, know there's more to the Hiroshima-based carmaker than "zoom" - there's also room. The 3-row CX-9 is the roomiest Mazda, 200 inches long with some 100 cubic feet of cargo space. The CX-9 wasn't Mazda's first stab at a crossover. Its original MPV was more crossover than minivan, with a RWD/AWD platform and – get this! – an available manual trans. While the MPV morphed into a more conventional minivan, Mazda introduced the CX-7, CX-9, CX-5 and – most recently – the subcompact CX-3. Although the CX-7 is no more, the crossover segment remains hot. This for-sale CX-9 is from the model's previous generation. It's also the beneficiary of the last V6, as its more upscale replacement boasts only a turbocharged four. We like both, but the V6 is relatively refined. And this car's price of $16,000 sure beats a new CX-9's $36,000. It's almost $2K above an average selling price, but with a clean Carfax and its 60K major service behind it (and some price flexibility) this CX-9 could provide some voluminous value. Related Video:
