1985 Mazda RX-7 RX7
GSL-SE This is
originally a California car and is just out of storage. It was stored in an
enclosed trailer in California for eight years before I purchased the car. The
car retains all of its original paint and original equipment (the only thing
that isn't original to the car is the radio). It has been well cared for and
maintained. The car runs, drives and
stops perfectly. The tires are in excellent shape with lots of tread left.
There are two sun roofs, one glass and one that is the body color of the car. The car
drives smoothly, brakes straight and accelerates like it should. On the
freeway, the car tracks straight, true and smooth. The engine does not and has not
ever exhibited any of the flooding problems that so many others experience with
the 13B fuel injected engine. The engine runs well and has plenty of power and
revs smoothly. The engine starts immediately, and there is no smoke from the
engine either on start up or while driving. The air
conditioning blows cold, the heater blows hot, the cruise control works and the
clock keeps time. The electric windows work, but are a little slow going up.
Since there is an aftermarket radio, the center console four-way speaker
control is not connected. The electric antenna does not raise up, but I have a brand
new replacement electric antenna still in the box that will be included with
the sale of the car. Overall the
exterior of the car is in excellent condition. There are some rock chips on the
nose and a couple of door dings, things that you would expect for a car that is
30 years old, but overall, the paint is all original and in really good
condition, as can be seen the pictures. The flat black window trim could
probably use a repaint, but it is just wind-worn and I’ll leave that up to the
new owner to repaint or leave as is. I wanted to leave it as original as
possible for the new owner. All the glass is in good shape and there are no
cracks. There is one small rock chip in the windshield on the passenger side
that is not very noticeable. The interior is in very good condition. The only
flaw is the steering wheel. The top of the steering wheel looks as if someone
chewed off the top of it. As mentioned earlier, the only non-stock item in the
interior is the radio. The carpets are in very good condition, having been
protected by aftermarket floor mats. The seat upholstery is in excellent
condition. The seats travel easily in their tracks and the seat back
adjustments work as they should. Included
with the car is a front nose “Bra” in like new condition (not installed) and
louvers for the rear hatch (also not installed). I have a
clear Washington state title in my name. The car is available for viewing by
appointment and I encourage you to do so. Down payment to be made by Paypal. Balance of the sale amount to to be paid by cashier's check within 7 days of the auction end. Shipping is
the responsibility of the buyer, including shipping arrangements and costs. I
will assist with the shipping on my end to the best of my ability. I will store
the car for up to two weeks after the end of the auction to allow for time to
arrange shipping. |

2019 Mazda CX-5 Review and Buying Guide | The driver's choice
Fri, Oct 11 2019The 2019 Mazda CX-5 stands out in an ever-expanding field of similarly sized compact crossovers. There are several good options for shoppers looking to replace the traditional family sedan with something that sits up a little higher and offers some added utility via a reasonably sized open cargo area instead of a closed-off trunk. But if you really enjoy spending time behind the wheel, there isn’t a small crossover that can match the Mazda CX-5Â’s blend of excellent driving dynamics, practicality and affordability. For that reason, weÂ’d suggest that everyone shopping in this segment should take the CX-5 for a test drive. WhatÂ’s new for 2019? The CX-5 gets its first significant update since being completely redesigned for 2017. There are two new engine choices. A 2.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder is the more powerful option the CX-5 has always needed, while the new 2.2-liter diesel engine is the answer for those who want better fuel economy. Every CX-5 benefits from a retuned suspension setup and MazdaÂ’s G-vectoring Control Plus system, which are intended to improve the 2019 CX-5Â’s handling. A revised infotainment system loses its touchscreen capability but now offers Apple CarPlay and Android Auto capability (it is not, however, the all-new and greatly improved system found in the Mazda3). Also new for 2019 is a top-spec Signature trim level that adds a layer of wood and chrome trim to the interior to go along with attractive brown leather upholstery and a 360-degree camera monitor. A set of 19-inch Dark Silver aluminum wheels and unique badging round out the noteworthy Signature upgrades. WhatÂ’s the CX-5's interior and technology like? The CX-5 boasts a handsome, upscale design with materials to match. The cabin conveys the more premium vibe that Mazda is increasingly shooting for – it also makes a more emotional connection than the typical cardboard box on wheels. Its top two trim levels, Grand Touring Reserve and Signature, boast seats that are heated all around and ventilated up front, covered in high-quality leather with contrast French stitching. There's stitching on the dash too, though it goes through rubbery stuff. The padded and stitched pleather on the doors and center console are a nicer touch, as is the subtle dark wood and alloy trim – especially the air vents that seem to jut out from within the dash.
Autoblog fan favorite car ads from Super Bowl XLIX
Mon, Feb 2 2015Super Bowl XLIX is in the books, and the New England Patriots emerged victorious. Of course, if you're like us, the big game wasn't so much about the battle between the east coast and west, so much as a fight between the world's automotive advertisers. We collected and collated all of last night's new ads and put them together for you to vote on. And yes, we're limiting this year's contest to last night's new features. That's why you aren't seeing Dodge's epic Wisdom among our collection of commercials, and it's a similar story with Chevrolet's Truck Guy Focus Group series, which highlights the new Colorado. You can still vote for your favorites. We won't be closing the voting on our Super Bowl page, so while the winners and losers are correct as of this writing, it's entirely possible that there could be some changes in the rankings as time goes on. So, without any further ado, here are the winning ads based on your voting. Nissan: With Dad Fiat: Ready For Action Jeep: Beautiful Lands BMW: Newfangled Idea Mercedes-Benz: Fable NASCAR: America Start Your Engines As for those ads that failed to impact you, loyal readers, Toyota was the absolute, undisputed loser. The Japanese brand ran four ads in total – two for Toyota and two for Lexus – and all of them have negative tallies as of this writing. Lexus' Make Some Noise and Lets Play and Toyota's One Bold Choice and My Bold Dad both had very weak showings among the commercials that aired, although they weren't alone. Neither Mazda nor Kia scored particularly well, despite featuring celebrity magic act Penn and Teller and former James Bond, Pierce Brosnan, respectively. Chevrolet was the winner of the losers, as of our writing, recording the fewest downvotes for its audience-punking The Big Game ad. If you want to take a second look at the losing ads, you can head back to our Super Bowl page for the complete collection. But for now, head into Comments and let us know what you think of the results.
