Up for sale is my 1985 Mazda RX7 GSL with 133k on
it. It is neither a showroom vehicle nor a basket case. You’ll get a garaged
car that’s a daily driver you can enjoy and work on along the way. It is in
good as is condition, being fun and reliable. Surprisingly it gets much
attention from different generations of people. Mark my words, these collectible
vehicles are getting closer to having their day in the sun. Here
are the pros… There
are no major rust issues with the car; the paint is average
with some clearcoat fading in some areas (see pics). It has a newer CD
player with a phone jack for your Smartphone. It also has Sirius satellite radio. I do have the original factory radio cassette with equalizer
included. Has the removable
sunroof, power windows, power mirrors (driver side doesn’t work), and
cruise control. Recent
service includes the front/rear brakes, front rotors, and brake
fluid flushed. Other
repairs in my ownership are: all belts replaced, changed spark
plugs, master cylinder replaced, thermostat replaced, igniter replaced, and
newer battery. Here
are the cons… Air
conditioning doesn’t work (never looked into, may be
a leak that needs sealing and perhaps an opportunity to convert to 134a coolant).
Heat does work. Power
steering doesn’t function due to a leak. I’ve already
replaced the pump (But I have no issues with driving). There
is a surface scrape on the very front corner of the right quarter
panel and bumper (see pics). HOWEVER,
I have a car bra (never used) that will cover the scrapes if you don’t want to
initially paint. It will come with the car. I have also a new unused, unpainted bumper cover and all used replacement parts (light
covers, rubber molding) to repair the scraped area should you repair and paint
down the road. It includes a shop manual (a reproduced edition). A $500.00 deposit via PayPal is required to hold the
vehicle and the balance is due upon pick up with a certified check only. Car
will be for sale locally in Cincinnati, Ohio. Feel free to contact me with
questions. |

Mazda planning not one but two new crossovers for U.S.
Tue, Feb 12 2019Mazda has already announced plans to unveil a brand new crossover at the Geneva Motor Show, but it turns out there's another one in the pipeline set to satiate the appetites of a crossover-mad U.S. market. Speaking at the Chicago Auto Show, Mazda North America CEO Masahiro Moro told reporters the brand has another model planned for production at the $1.6 billion plant under construction with joint-venture partner Toyota in Huntsville, Ala. It'll be "a new crossover SUV which is exclusively designed for the North American market," Automotive News quoted Moro as saying. While it'll be a different product from the one debuting next month in Geneva, the two vehicles will share some architecture. The company is reportedly still finalizing the concept for it. Currently, Mazda sells three crossovers in the U.S.: the subcompact CX-3, the compact CX-5 and the larger CX-9. Together, the three vehicles, which constitute half of the tiny automaker's vehicle lineup, posted sales of 195,778 for 2018, up 15.8 percent from 2017. They accounted for nearly two-thirds of the brand's total vehicle sales of 300,325. Production is expected to start at the new Alabama plant in mid-2021, Moro said, and add capacity for 150,000 units of crossovers. The plant is expected to employ up to 4,000 workers with a total capacity of 300,000 vehicles a year. Toyota plans to build the Corolla there alongside Mazda's crossovers. Mazda last week released the teaser pic shown above of its forthcoming new crossover headed for Geneva. It could be the next and slightly larger version of the CX-3, which will use the Skyactiv Vehicle Architecture that also supports the new Mazda3. Live pics of 2014 Mazda3 from NYC, sedan on its way
Wed, 26 Jun 2013Here it is, ladies and gentlemen, straight from the memory cards of our own cameras. As you can see, the only version of the 2014 Mazda3 that the automaker is showing off at the moment is the hatchback, but we've gotten confirmation from Mazda that the sedan version will be shown sometime within the next five weeks.
So far, Mazda isn't commenting on whether or not we can expect a higher-performance Mazdaspeed3 version of the car, but we've got our fingers crossed. In any case, we're quite drawn to the appearance of this new hatchback from Mazda, with its flowing lines and character creases setting it apart from the rest of the compact segment in which it competes.
We also appreciate the sound engineering that went into the new 3. Despite boasting a wheelbase that's longer than the car it replaces, we're pleased to see that Mazda has kept its exterior size in check - it's actually shorter overall than the last-gen model - while also reducing weight by about 200 pounds. That's bound to be good for the new 3's dynamic properties.
Mazda replaces owner's crashed 2016 Miata with brand new car
Fri, Jul 24 2015The first shipment of 2016 Mazda MX-5 Miatas are finally here. Imagine the jubilant sensation of being among the 1,000 people to pick up the limited Launch Edition, only to feel eviscerated when the new roadster crashes hardly a mile away from the dealer. While it must be an absolutely horrendous experience, Mazda North American Operations is making things right for one forlorn couple. In what was surely among the first recorded crashes of the 2016 Miata in the US, a husband and wife recently went to pick up their new Launch Edition, but they were rear-ended almost as soon as they left the dealer. According to Jalopnik, the hit also caused the roadster to slam into the car in front and might have bent the frame. To make a bad situation even worse, the wife also needed to be taken to the hospital to be checked out. Mazda is coming to the couple's aid with a generous gift. Knowing that it's utterly unfair for the new owners not to enjoy some top-down driving while the summer lasts, the company is actually sending the pair another Launch Edition to replace their crashed example. According to a Facebook post by the dealer (below), the car should be available sometime next month. Hopefully, the couple can enjoy thousands of miles of roadster driving with this one. After hearing about one of our customers getting rear-ended just minutes after picking up their new Miata, Mazda is sending out a replacement next month! #LongLiveTheRoadster Posted by Tom Bush Mazda on Wednesday, July 22, 2015 Related Video:
