10th Anniversary Mazda Miata on 2040-cars
Eatontown, New Jersey, United States
|  For sale is my 1999 10th Anniversary Mazda Miata.  This is my second Miata that I owned, and I come from a family that has plenty of other Miatas.    I purchased the car when I lived in Florida in 2000.  The car has about 11,xxx miles on it.    The car has wanted for nothing, this was a fourth car that was only used on weekends during the summer.   The car was stored in a garage with a car cover the rest of the year.   The car also has a Viper alarm, 3M invisible bra, and Griot Garage air horns.    New house forces sale, my loss is your gain.  E-mail me with any question.   |

Mazda is finally adding Apple CarPlay and Android Auto
Wed, Mar 28 2018NEW YORK — The number of car companies that don't offer a smartphone mirroring infotainment system is shrinking. Toyota is finally beginning to offer Apple CarPlay on new cars, first on the Toyota Avalon. Mazda is finally going to offer Apple CarPlay, too, as well as Android Auto. The first car to get it will be the Mazda6. The new feature will be available in new 2018 Mazda6s this summer. It will be standard on Touring, Grand Touring, Grand Touring Reserve and Signature. That means only the Sport model won't have it as standard. And if you've already purchased a 2018 Mazda6 or were planning on getting one earlier than the summer, Mazda still has you covered. The feature can be added when it becomes available. The Mazda6 is currently the only model announced to get the feature. No announcements for when updates for other models will be available, or regarding the application of the feature to older Mazda models with the current infotainment system. Consumer Reports says infotainment systems 'growing first-year reliability plague'
Mon, 27 Oct 2014The Consumer Reports Annual Auto Reliability Survey (right) is out, and the top two spots look much the same as last year's list with Lexus and Toyota in first and second place, respectively. However, there are some major shakeups for 2014, with Acura plunging eight spots from third in 2013 to 11th this year, and Mazda replaces it on the lowest step of the podium. Honda and Audi round out the top five. This year's list includes six Japanese brands in the top 10, two Europeans, one America and one Korean.
Acura isn't the only one taking a tumble, though. Infiniti is the biggest loser this year by dropping 14 spots to 20th place. Other big losses come from Mercedes-Benz with an 11-place fall to 24th, and GMC, which declines 10 positions to 19th.
Perhaps unsurprisingly, it's not traditional mechanical bugs hauling down these automaker's reliability scores. Instead, pesky problems with infotainment systems are taking a series toll on the rankings. According to Consumer Reports, complaints about "in-car electronics" were the most grumbled about element in new cars. Problem areas included things like unresponsive touchscreens, issues pairing phones and multi-use controllers that refused to work right.
Lexus, Mazda and Subaru top Consumer Reports Brand Report Cards
Tue, 26 Feb 2013A revised methodology in devising its annual Car Brand Report Cards has seen Consumer Reports award Lexus its top overall ranking for 2013. For the first time ever, the institute broke out individual brands from their larger corporate umbrellas, meaning car makers like Lexus and Scion were judged independently from parent company Toyota. That strategy worked out well for Lexus, as the luxury brand earned a top report card score of 79 for the 2013 model year.
The institute has recommended every one of the Lexus models it has tested to date, and said that the company's products won out thanks to "a foundation of plush and very reliable vehicles."
Meanwhile, Mazda and Subaru tied for the second-highest scoring report cars, with scores of 76. Subaru earned praised for sporting models like the BRZ, which CR testers apparently had a lot of fun driving (naturally), while the Mazda products were lauded for their blend of practicality, sportiness and efficiency. Both of the Japanese brands offered good handling, fuel economy and versatility, said Consumer Reports.
