This is has been my baby and my daily driver for the last year and she's been awesome, but it's time to let her to go someone who will appreciate her more.  I'm 42, I travel for a living, and so I don't really use the full potential of this car, and want someone to have it who will really enjoy it!  I'm the 3rd owner, it originally was sold on the West Coast, moved up to Washington State for almost a decade, then came down to Nashville.  It's NEVER been in the snowbelt, no rust issues.

Only 457 of these were made, less are around now, very rare!

You will NOT find another one like this out there.  How do I know?  Because Mitsubishi did not offer the VR4 Spyder in Black on black colors, and I have recently completely replaced all the cream interior that goes bad so quickly with all NEW black leather seats and new carpets, it looks brand new!  All power functions work perfectly, including the top which has been recently calibrated by a Spyder technician, power steering, cruise control, windows, everything works!  This is a no-excuses car, fly in and drive her home today!

Over the last year she's been completely refurbished, and I have receipts for all of this work, including but not limited to:

New transmission rebuild - over $2,000, performed 2 years ago in Washington State
New Air Conditioning Compressor, Condensor, Dryer, and system flushed and filled - $1,000 last summer, blows super cold and auto climate control works perfectly!
New Driver's Side power window motor - $250 last summer
New Radiator and thermostat - $400 last summer
New FULL PAINT JOB - professionally stripped down to primer and re-painted black with clear coat, looks AWESOME - $2,200 - 6 months ago
Headlights sanded down and refinished - $150 - 6 months ago, but could stand being polished again
New Black carpet - $400 3 months ago
New black leather interior - $1,000 3 months ago
New shift boot - 3 months ago
New antenna - this month
New windshield washer pump and nozzles - this month

Tires have good tread left, the chrome rims shine up VERY nicely but have normal road wear on them.  The car had the 60k done many years ago according to the previous owner but has not had the 120k service done, but it still drives perfectly, every day.  I even took it back and forth 4 hours each way from Nashville to Atlanta next month, drove perfectly, no issues.

So, in the last two years, it's had over $7,000 of work done!  Where else are you going to find a Spyder with this awesome of maintenance history, WITH RECEIPTS TO PROVE IT??!!

These are super rare, and getting more rare every year as people wreck them or part them out.  Get a car that turns heads, no one knows what it is, looks AWESOME SEXY, and makes people stop and admiringly ask you what kind of car you're driving!

$500 deposit required via Paypal within 24 hours of auction end.
Balance due within 3 business days via cash or Bank Check.  Bank check must clear before you can drive the car home.
This car has a CLEAN TITLE IN HAND.  There was a minor dent in a fender YEARS ago, since fixed and you can't tell at all (it'll show up on your Carfax).  NO SALVAGE CRAP HERE!
I can meet you at the Nashville airport if you choose to fly in and drive it home rather than have it delivered.
More pictures or video of running car available upon request, even a Facetime video if you want to watch the top in action!
I encourage you to come test drive this BEFORE you bid.
PLEASE ask all questions BEFORE bidding.  You're bidding to own this car, not bidding on a chance to come look at it.  All bids are final, car is sold as-is where-is with no warranties express or implied.

Thanks for bidding, and good luck!

Zagato to reveal new Maserati-powered Mostro at Villa d'Este

Thu, May 21 2015

Zagato has a record of collaborating with some of Europe's finest automakers, but it's the storied past it shares with Maserati that the coachbuilder will be celebrating at the Concorso d'Eleganza Villa d'Este this summer. And that's where Zagato will reveal the Mostro, previewed here. The coachbuilt custom pays tribute to the 1957 Maserati 450 S – known as "il Mostro" for its monstrous power. The Zagato-bodied coupe (one of its last designs not to use the Kamm tail) was commissioned and raced by Stirling Moss at Le Mans, and supposedly remained the most powerful front-engined racecar in the world into the 1990s. This modern tribute is built around a carbon monocoque, with a dry-sump Maserati V8 mounted up front but between the axles for optimal weight distribution, driving a six-speed semi-automatic rear transaxle. The design comes from the same studio that gave us such recent creations as the Alfa Romeo TZ3 and Perana Z-One, and shares some similar design traits, but with quasi-pontoon front fenders capping the long nose and swept-back greenhouse. In correspondence with Autoblog, Zagato confirms that the Mostro is designed for the track, but will be "ready for street homologation." The carrozzeria will build five examples before Maserati's current centenary year is over. Each has already been spoken for, though none are headed to customers in the US. Coachbuilders seldom reveal pricing for this type of project (particularly when they've all been pre-sold), but we're told that "none of Zagato's atelier cars exceed 1 million. As collectible cars, the value of a Zagato typically overcomes the purchasing price within a few years." We'll look forward to seeing the finished product in full once it's ready. In the meantime you can view it – along with a brief pictorial history of the relationship between Maserati and Zagato – in the slideshow above and the details in the trio of texts below. The Mostro powered by Maserati is the latest creation of Zagato's current Iconic decade, a new tradition for the atelier that began at the end of coachbuilder's Neoclassical period (2000-2010) to celebrate the most iconic models of automotive history. Marking the delivery of the first customer car, Zagato will present the new Mostro as a world premiere at the Concorso d'Eleganza Villa d'Este.

Singapore car salesman jailed for gambling away $280k Maserati deposit

Thu, 10 Jul 2014

Kenny Rogers' country classic The Gambler is right about two things: you gotta know when to hold'em and know when to fold'em. A former Maserati salesman in Singapore is learning that lesson about when to step away from the table, after being sentenced to 33 months in prison for allegedly gambling away a customer's deposit of 350,000 Singapore dollars ($280,800).
According to Asia One, Allan Tan Buan Yuen was selling a Maserati in 2011. He told the customer that the car would take six months to arrive and cost 650,000 Singapore dollars ($522,000). While that may sound high, cars in the Asian country are notoriously expensive.
Yuen asked for a deposit of 150,000 Singapore dollars ($120,400), but instead of handing the money to the dealer, he placed the funds in his own account. Apparently, the customer didn't notice, and over the next few months Yuen received an additional 200,000 Singapore dollars ($160,400) towards the car from him. Clearly, this ruse couldn't last forever, though. When the buyer eventually inquired about his Maserati months later, Yuen admitted that he had already gambled away the entire fortune.
