2009 - Maserati Quattroporte on 2040-cars
Sparks, Nevada, United States
I am not a sales guy and will not pretend that I am. I promise to not use cliche and overused sales terms when describing the car. Here's the honest truth on this Maserati: I ordered this particular Quattroporte to spec direct from Maserati back in 2008. As mentioned above, I will not use terms like "babied" or "tender loving highway miles" because we all know that is generally a lie. If a person has to go out of their way to point something that should be obvious... they are probably full of it. Please let the photos do the explaining as to how well the car was taken care of. I never took it through a Chevron save $3 on an Ultimate car wash if you buy some fuel first and let our minimum wage high school kid take our dusty shop broom and test the thickness of your car's clear coat sorta place. Instead, our company has an agreement with a local mobile car washing business who happily stops by the office once a week to wash cars. That's how it was detailed from day one until just yesterday when they washed it for a final time. All maintenance work was completed at Maserati of Tampa, FL and Maserati here in Las Veags. Quite frankly, driving fast absolutely terrifies me. If I wanted to drive like a maniac I would've invested in a Lingenfelter Twin Turbo Corvette or Viper... I will say this car does have a Stage 2 ECU software upgrade that yields an extra 25 horsepower. My business partner's had a local performance shop install a custom Formula Dynamics tune while I was out of town on vacation. They thought I would notice the difference and call them to ask what they had done to the Maserati! In reality they waited a week until approaching me to see if I noticed a difference. I did not because you actually have to mash the throttle to experience the difference which is something I just do not do. After they mentioned the upgrade to me I tried it out and yes there is a noticeable difference! The car spent half of it's life in Tampa, FL where it's nice and warm (no snow, salt, sandy roads, etc) and the 2nd portion here in even sunnier Las Vegas. The paint still looks great for a 5 year old car with 49k on it. Anyone who invests a little time in learning about Maserati knows the one-of-a-kind craftsmanship that goes into each and every vehicle. Even to this day (5 years after pulling the plastic wrapping off the seats and steering wheel) as I sit in the drivers seat I do not feel like I'm in an automobile. This car is something special. The added roar and growl from the engine is not a necessity rather an added bonus for guys like me Rawrr!!! hehe Please do not hesitate to message me with any questions you may have. The car is available to inspect for yourself if you are in the local area. Good luck!!! *I have clear title in hand *100% Clean CarFax report *Both key fobs are included -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- On Feb-27-14 at 18:36:06 PST, seller added the following information: I am not a sales guy and will not pretend that I am. The troubled Alfa Romeo Giulia needs serious help [UPDATE]
Wed, Feb 10 2016UPDATE: An Alfa Romeo US spokesman responded to this article with the following statement: The safety concerns expressed in the story are false. The all-new 2017 Alfa Romeo Giulia is designed and engineered to meet or exceed all federal safety regulations. The Alfa Romeo Giulia will begin production for the North American market in the late second-quarter of this year. Alfa Romeo will have a full product portfolio of premium vehicles that includes plans for (8) all-new Alfa Romeo vehicles by 2020. The product launches are prioritized by segment volumes starting this year with the Alfa Romeo Giulia production for North America starting in late Q2, followed by the Midsize-UV – the 2nd largest premium segment in North America. Even on the day you dragged them kicking and screaming and gesticulating wildly to a table full of concrete evidence, Alfa Romeo executives will never admit the Giulia program is going through a tough patch. But it is. Reports say the Giulia, on the eve of production, didn't just fail one internal crash test, but failed the front, side and rear impact tests. Alfa denies it. Automotive News published a report last week saying two suppliers had insisted the Giulia, on the eve of production, didn't just fail one internal crash test, but failed the front-, side-, and rear-impact tests. A third supplier source told us the same thing. Alfa is denying it. It was due on sale in Europe late last year and was supposed to be here in the next month or two. But it wasn't, and it won't. It was to be headlined by a twin-turbo V6 that reportedly howled its way around the Nurburgring 14 seconds faster than the BMW M3 could manage. That second part is only true if you believe it's fair to compare a full lap in a standard BMW M3 with a favorable accumulation of sector times to a development prototype Giulia with 220 pounds stripped out of it and rolling on hand-cut racing slicks. No, me neither. A Promising Start The Giulia's all-new architecture was developed in just two years by a skunkworks of young engineers headed by Fiat's engineering prince, Philippe Krief, and (bafflingly) sited inside Maserati's headquarters complex in Modena, about three hours from Alfa Romeo's own Turin HQ.
Maserati Quattroporte suits up with Ermenegildo Zegna [w/video]
Wed, 11 Sep 2013You know what no one has ever said? The Maserati Quattroporte needs more Italian style. Just the same, Maserati has teamed up with Ermenegildo Zegna to give the QP just that.
Revealed here at the Frankfurt Motor Show is the (deep breath now) Maserati Quattroporte Ermenegildo Zegna Limited Edition Concept. And by "concept", Maserati means it intends to put it into production, likely with very few tweaks over what you see here.
So what do you see here? A QP in a business suit, to sum it up. It's got a beautifully deep bronze paintjob and an interior with the finest wool textile and soft leather upholstery. The lustrous paint repeats on the wheel spokes, and of course some discreet Zegna badges inside and out. The fashion house also worked up some special fitted luggage, as you can see from our gallery of high-resolution photos from the show floor, along with the stock shots, a video and a press release below.
Maserati confirms limited edition Quattroporte Zegna for production
Thu, Jul 17 2014Last year two of the biggest names in Italian style – one from the automotive industry and one from fashion – announced a partnership. Together Maserati and Ermenegildo Zegna revealed a "concept" version of the Quattroporte at the Frankfurt Motor Show, only given how production-ready the show car already looked, nobody really believed it would remain just a concept. And now, having revealed the final version in Geneva, Maserati has confirmed it for production. Limited production, that is, because Maserati will only build 100 examples of the Quattroporte Zegna edition for consumption around the world. That's about one-thirtieth of the number of cars Maserati produces each month at this point, and while the Modenese automaker doesn't break down its sales figures by model, the QP accounts for a large proportion of those numbers. Maserati also hasn't said just how much it will charge for the Zegna edition, but you can bet it'll be a handsome premium – more than some of those designer-edition hatchbacks get at any rate – yet it'll undoubtedly offload the entire run in short order. "ONE OF 100" THE MASERATI QUATTROPORTE ZEGNA LIMITED EDITION Wednesday, July 16, 2014 – After making its world debut at the 2013 Geneva Motor Show, Maserati has revealed an exclusive limited edition Maserati Quattroporte in collaboration with luxury Italian fashion house, Ermenegildo Zegna. Just 100 examples of the limited series will be built which feature colour schemes, materials and exclusive trims which link the histories of the two brands. To celebrate the launch of the Quattroporte Zegna Limited Edition, Maserati and Zegna are embarking on a tour of four international events starting in Shanghai in July 2014 before stopping in New York (Sept 2014), Dubai (Feb 2015) and Milan (Spring 2015). The events are designed to present the Quattroporte Zegna Limited Edition to an exclusive audience and to celebrate the partnership between the two Italian brands; both of whom are masters in Italian excellence. The exclusive event locations have been carefully selected to enhance the uniqueness of the alliance and represent the pinnacle of Italian elegance. Guests will be able to discover the car's premium finishes in detail and see the extraordinary result of the partnership. World famous Italian photographer, Fabrizio Ferri, will be in attendance at each of the four events capturing 100 unique images – 25 from each occasion.
