You won't find a flaw on this GranTurismo! Our "Top 20" USA Detailers have done their magic with the finish and then applied Ceramic Pro H9 Glasscoating which will make it shine and protect it for years to come! The wheels have been professionally powder coated to a flawless shine to compliment the vehicle's paintwork. With slinky Pininfarina-penned bodywork outside, butter-soft Poltrina Frau leather inside, a free-breathing Ferrari-inspired V8 under the hood, and smart, programmable modes in the suspension and transmission, the 2012 Maserati GranTurismo has the body, brawn and brains to tickle anyone's exotic-car fancy. Any car enthusiast with a pulse cannot deny the GranTurismo's pheromone-inducing presence. The Maserati GranTurismo's bodywork is form-fitting and low-slung. A long, curvaceous hood, prominent oval grille and triple air vents on each front fender create a classic visage. Aggressively styled 20'' wheels compliment the cars styling. Our favorite features: THE "SPORT" BUTTON As if the 2012 Maserati GranTurismo wasn't sporty enough, push a dash-mounted "Sport" button and the exhaust song becomes more intense, shifts get quicker and the Skyhook electronic adjustable suspension delivers a firmer ride and sharper handling. SHIFT PADDLES Even the shift paddles for the 2012 GranTurismo's 6-speed automatic transmission embody the same artistic flair and bold design as the rest of the car. The long, racing-style paddles are made of light alloy and provide tactile manual shift control that enhances the driving experience. The Interior: This 2012 GranTurismo convertible Sport offers 2+2 seating that's essentially two pairs of buckets, each with its own console. An easy-access feature powers the front seats forward to gain admission to the rear. Also featuring extensive leather trim throughout. The triple-insulated canvas convertible top deploys in just 24 seconds, and will do so on the run up to 20 mph. Two golf bags stash in the trunk!

2014 Maserati Quattroporte goes on a night run

Wed, 02 Jan 2013

While it was in development, Maserati rolled out its 2014 Quattroporte for a little testing, but rather than slather the big luxury sedan in gobs of camouflage to protect from it prying eyes, engineers used the cover of darkness to conceal the vehicle's design. Then they made a video about their cleverness and posted it on the Internet. The team spent some time whipping around the Balocco Proving Ground with chief test driver Fabrizio Galvan at the controls to evaluate the sedan's new drivetrain, noise levels and handling in the real world.
We got our hands on the 2014 Quattroporte last month for a first drive ahead of the vehicle's North American debut at the 2013 Detroit Auto Show. You can read our impressions here, but first, take a look at the video below for a new glimpse at the machine's development.

We drive the cars of Furious 7... in Forza Horizon 2 [w/video]

Thu, Apr 9 2015

On March 27, Turn 10 Studios, the folks behind the Forza Motorsport series, and Universal Pictures, the studio responsible for the Fast and Furious franchise, gave us a match made in heaven, announcing a "standalone expansion" featuring the two franchises. Called Forza Horizon 2 Presents Fast and Furious, it features the cars from the latest film installment, unique missions and the voice-acting of Chris "Ludacris" Bridges, who plays tech guru Tej Parker on camera. A Fast and Furious video game? Seems like a no brainer. It gets better. Rather than limiting the Fast and Furious Edition cars to the expansion game, Turn 10 made them available through one of their (some may say notorious) downloadable content packages. Eight of the expansion's 11 cars were made available for just $4.99 (the only cars that weren't included were the Fast and Furious Edition Nissan GT-R, while the Bugatti Veyron Super Sport and McLaren P1 are already available in-game). What's cool ais that the cars featured in both games are visually identical to the vehicles driven by the stars of Furious 7. Each in-game car has an on-screen parallel that plays a role in advancing the film's story. Considering that we're unlikely to score seat time in Dominic Toretto's real Dodge Charger, then, we figured we'd take to the game and test the car in the digital realm. We've got nine little cluster reviews, covering the cars both in the game and how they appear in the movies. And don't worry, there are no major spoilers here. Click on for the cars of Forza Horizon 2 Presents Fast and Furious. 1970 Dodge Charger R/T Fast and Furious Edition Supercharged 7.2L V8 / 900 HP / 663 LB-FT The one vehicle that is mandatory in a Fast and Furious video game, Dom's hot-rodded 1970 Dodge Charger, is as much a character in the films as its driver. Furious 7 marks the fourth appearance of this Mopar beast in the series. Not surprisingly it's a handful to drive, wildly quick and with a four-speed transmission packed full of very tall gears. But beyond that, it's arguably the coolest of the FF Edition cars. This black beauty is exactly as it appears in the latest installment of the film, with the video game version featuring intricate little details, like the moving parts on the BDS supercharger. It's an iconic car, and it's treated as such in the game.

2013 Maserati GranTurismo MC Stradale gets its groove, seats back

Wed, 06 Mar 2013

The Maserati GranTurismo MC Stradale was exclusively a two-seater, but here in Geneva, the big Italian coupe gets its rear thrones back. We don't know if the addition of rear passenger space will help improve sales of this special trim of the aging GT, but it's at the very least an excuse for Maserati to shine a few lights on its gorgeous two-door.
Under that rakish carbon fiber bonnet is the same Ferrari-sourced 4.7-liter V8 we've loved for years now, tuned to 460 horsepower in this application and mated to Maserati's MC Race Shift six-speed automatic transmission. Other updates for the MC Stradale include new 20-inch alloy wheels and a smattering of new materials inside the cabin.
Yes, it feels like we write about some version of the GranTurismo every time we attend the Geneva Motor Show, but this car still tickles our fancy each and every time. Scroll down for the press blast and check out the four-seater for yourself in the high-resolution gallery.
