Im selling this for a business associate who is not an ebayer. He is an executive with little time and i didnt want to see him lose out on this cars potential by simply trading it in at the local Maserati dealer. It however needs a clutch service and this gives a buyer a great opportunity to purchase it at a discount and have the service performed at their indy of choice and oversee a fresh clutch.

Here is what i know:

This is a 2004 Maserati Coupe GT.  One of 48 delivered to the US during that time and the last year Ferrari was contracted to produce the engine.  Same engine that is in the 360 Modena.  A year later, Ferrari was preparing to release the F430 and did not have the ability to meet the demands of the last two years production for the Coupe and GranSport.

This Maserati is SkyHook Suspension equipped. It has two unmounted brand new Michelin Pilot Sports front tires which will be included in the sale.  Air and Heat work extra well and the buttons do not suffer from the notorious sticky feel common on Italian exotics.   The Tobacco Leather is immaculate, subtle and gorgeous in color and can be smelled from outside the car.  No check engine lights, ever.  It performes and shows as it should. He takes great care in his cars.  He often takes clients out and therefore it must look as good as it drives.  The Alfieri (pewter) exterior is uncommon and looks incredible. In my opinion, its the best color of the Italian auto lineup. Its certainly my first choice.

The only issue is the transmission as it slips upon high torque, clutch needs to be replaced.  However, she drives fine when babied and can take trips if you wish to drive her home..  This is a rare GT in a unique color combination that is appreciated by many amongst the car enthusiasts community.

You will also deal with a private seller who believes in honesty and fairness.  He is a respectful guy that will help you with setting up the appointment and introduction to the independant service tech that quoted on the clutch, if you dont have a contact of your own.

This is a great opportunity to own a beautiful Maserati at a very fair price.

I will forward all questions to the owner for a prompt and educated answer.

Maserati's first electric car won't be a Tesla rival

Sun, Oct 9 2016

Italian supercar makers haven't exactly embraced electric vehicles with gusto (the LaFerrari hybrid is about as close as you get), but that should change in the next few years. Ferrari's sibling brand Maserati tells Car and Driver that it's working on an electric vehicle that would be shown before 2020. And unlike other luxury car brands, Maserati doesn't plan on eating Tesla's lunch. It has to produce something "very different" to stand out, the company's Roberto Fedeli says. Think of something more like the GranTurismo coupe (see above) than yet another upscale sedan. Part of the challenge, Fedeli claims, is making a green machine that's exciting to drive. Breakneck acceleration is the only really thrilling aspect of EVs right now, he says – the sheer weight of those lithium-ion batteries dampens the enjoyment on twisty roads. A Maserati would have to be lighter on its feet. Also, the automaker will have to find a way to give its car character without a roaring gas engine under the hood. In that sense, Maserati's 2020 goal is realistic. It may not have much choice but to wait for battery technology to catch up to its ambitions. FCA is setting a five-year strategy: Here's how the last one played out

Thu, May 31 2018

We're slightly more than four years removed from Sergio Marchionne last five-year plan for FCA, a tell-all where the Italian-American automaker divulged its plans for the 2014 through 2018 model years. It was a grand affair, where Sergio told FCA investors that all was right in Auburn Hills, Alfa Romeo and Maserati were making comebacks, and the fifth-gen Dodge Viper received a mid-cycle refresh. You can read every last one of those past predictions right here. We're on our way to Europe to see Sergio's sequel, coming out Friday straight from FCA's Italian headquarters. (Bloomberg reports a plan to expand Jeep and Ram globally, combine Alfa Romeo and Maserati into a single division for an eventual spinoff, and downsizing Fiat and Chrysler. Also, EVs.) But before we arrive in Italy and find out exactly what Marchionne has planned for 2019 through 2023 as his last act as CEO, let's take a minute to tally up the results of his last term based on the same scoresheet we used in 2014. Now, we're only five months into 2018, so much of this — including vehicles like the Ram HD and Jeep Grand Wagoneer — could still debut this year. For those, we'll mark things TBD. We're not going to draw any conclusions or make any objectionable remarks. We're simply going to let the stats speak for themselves.

Uber adds supercar rides in Singapore

Tue, Mar 24 2015

Order a ride through Uber and you'll have a choice between what kind of car you want or need: Uber Black for standard fare, Uber X for the lowest cost available, Uber Taxi to order a regular cab, Uber SUV if you need to move more people or even Uber Lux if you want a luxury town car service. But customers in Singapore now have another option: to be picked up in a Lamborghini or Maserati. The pilot program launched in collaboration with Dream Drive will allow customers to be picked up in either a Lamborghini Gallardo Spyder or a Maserati GranTurismo to get around the Southeast Asian city-state. Ordering up the Maser will set customers back 165 Singapore Dollars (equivalent of $120 USD) for the first 15 minutes and 7 SGD ($5.10) for every subsequent minute. The Lambo gets the same per-minute rate but begs a higher 200 SGD ($146) base rate. Uber and Dream Drive were even offering free rides over the weekend to launch the initiative. Those prices make riding around in an Italian exotic pretty pricey, especially since you don't actually get to drive them – just ride shotgun. But then cars are quite expensive to begin with in Singapore, where it costs over half a million in US dollars to get a new Maserati in the first place.
