1994 Lotus Esprit Turbo I have owned this car for the past 4 summers and it has been very reliable and fun to drive. I bought it with 24393 miles and it now has 28743 so I put about 1000 miles per summer on the car. Runs and drives great. Timing belt was replaced in 2005 at 21082 miles by Autoworxs in Cumming Ga. I believe Autoworxs was run mainly by a guy named Joe Grassi who was a lotus team mechanic at some point in his career. See other service docs in 2007 in the pictures One of the primary fuel injectors failed in June of 2011 so at that time I installed new plugs, new MAP sensor, fuel filter, coil packs and primary fuel injectors. Brand new VOXX Maglia wheels and Bridgestone tires in july 2013 There are a few items that need attention: Front spoiler needs to be resprayed (see pic) I have the factory dupont color, clear coat and spraying thinners The coolant level sensor is broken so it occasioanlly throws a CEL Drivers side seat bolster shows some wear A/C does not blow very cold Radio stopped working a couple of weeks before I put it into winter storage and it might just be the fuse I haven't checked There are a few dings and chips around the car that you might expect for a 20 year old car Slight gearbox oil leak from one of the half shafts where it goes into gearbox $500 paypal deposit I can deliver the car within 10 hours (one way) or so of Duluth MN in an enclosed trailer for $500 It's been a great car and I'm looking to move on to a 97-02 Dodge Viper, ferrari 348 or Testarossa other wise no trades Clean and clear title and carfax Thanks for looking |

Lotus Motorcycles C-01 now 'ready for the road'
Thu, 20 Feb 2014When we first laid eyes on leaked images of the Lotus Motorcycles C-01, we wondered if its laid-back, sport cruiser shape was really appropriate for a motorcycle bearing any connection with Colin Chapman and the company's famous "add lightness" mantra. We've now seen official pictures of the bike in multiple color schemes, including classic black and gold, British racing green and even a variant that resembles Martini livery, and while we think it looks pretty cool, our opinion hasn't really changed.
Perhaps we shouldn't be surprised that the C-01 isn't an embodiment of the Lotus ethos, as the company that intends to build it isn't really Lotus at all, its builders - German racing firm Kodewa and tuner Holzer Group - merely having licensed the name of the British sportscar maker. It was designed by Daniel Simon, who once worked for Volkswagen and consulted for Bugatti and is the man credited with creating the reborn Tron Light Cycles. Still, looking past its questionable heritage, the C-01 looks pretty darn awesome, and there are some interesting bits that have us looking forward to the production version that's reportedly due within the next two months.
As expected, power comes in at 200 horsepower, courtesy of a modified version of KTM's 1,195-cc V-twin engine. The chassis is made up of steel, titanium and carbon fiber, with a seat height of about 28 inches. Its wheelbase, at about 65 inches, is a full 10 inches longer than a real street-legal superbike, and its front end is raked way out in front with a 19-inch wheel. Those dimensions mean we shouldn't expect much racetrack prowess, unless its rider is only planning on going in a straight line. Indeed, with a claimed dry weight of under 400 pounds, the Lotus Motorcycles C-01 ought to be mighty quick down the quarter mile.

Their exotic good looks are far surpassed by their dedication to connecting man to machine to pavement above all else. But like every other automaker these days, big changes are afoot. Yes, Lotus is going electric. But itÂ’s also going big, and in more ways than one. We recently sat down with Lotus Group VP & Managing Director Matt Windle and Chief Brand Officer James Andrew to talk about how the storied brand will pay service to its past as it aims its headlights toward the future. WeÂ’ve already seen the Lotus Evija (formerly referred to by internal codename Type 130), a low-volume, all-electric hypercar that represents the small automakerÂ’s first big step into electrification. With 1,500 kilowatts (about 2,000 horsepower) coming from four electric motors, you can forget 0-60; itÂ’ll do 0-186 miles per hour in 9.1 seconds. It starts at over $2 million, and production will be capped at 130 units. Flashy numbers to make a big splash, before going bigger in both size and production volume. Next will come the Lotus Eletre (formerly Type 132), an electric SUV that represents the (currently) small automakerÂ’s desire to cater to every lifestyle rather than to be pigeonholed by purists and luddites. To reach big volumes, Lotus needs to be a truly global company, and it needs to create cars that more customers can use, and at prices they can afford. James Andrew reminded us that the appreciation has always been there, and that Lotus founder Colin Chapman had two parking spots at the office: one for his Lotus Esprit, and the other for a Range Rover heÂ’d often drive to work. DonÂ’t expect a rock-crawling luxury off-roader to wear the Lotus badge, though. The gents assured us that the brandÂ’s focus remains on performance. And a crucial part of that performance is in driving dynamics that connect the driver to the car.
